About Dr. Brent T Stewart
Reviews for Dr. Brent T Stewart
Awful staff, terribly unprofessional. Unfulfilled promises, Christine is a super c*nt. Dr Brent is a condescending a**hole. Go literally anywhere else, these people think they're the authority on snake oil but won't prescribe a plant.
Avoid this physician at all costs!!!!! Dr Stewart makes MMJ patients come in more often than the state requires ($) and refuses to give certain routes because he assumes it will be smoked and he says that’s not medical. Refusing to allow patients flower takes away access to the most cost efficient, full spectrum product which negatively impacts patients on fixed or low incomes. Most importantly, He also falsely diagnoses chronic pain patients with OUD and prescribes them the newest drug ($$$$$) which won’t help their pain but it will cause problems to the future of their care. He is lining his pockets while giving minimal care to his suffering patients! He does not properly assess individual needs and has a “one size fits all” approach that financially helps him the most! Please avoid this doctor and report him if he has caused you harm!

He tried to prescribe me a new drug and told me not to read any information about it because I wouldn’t understand it. He said neither a chemist (that works with pharmaceuticals), a pharmaceutical rep, nor an attorney would understand it whatsoever and just to “take the drug”. After talking to a local pharmacy technician, I found out Stewart prescribes this one drug to the majority of his patients! This medication is not helping chronic pain patients, it is causing them more harm! Please avoid this doctor at all costs! He only cares about lining his pockets.

Krystan on Dr. Stewarts staff has gone above and beyond to help my wife and me dealing with pain management issues for my wife after she fell.
I’m a VA patient, but since the VA won’t treat my Adhesive Arachnoiditis, I was sent to Dr. Stewart’s office...best thing that’s happened for me in 2022. Not only are the staff friendly and professional, but I get my injections quickly, then my suffering wanes! Talk to lot’s of people in the lobby, and haven’t heard anything negative...enough said.
I love my Dr. And his PA's they are great and does a great job
I never give a everyone a 4 so the still try to improve. I know ppl and have gone w ppl that had appointments here. Staff is friendly and reasonably efficient. The Medical specialists are well versed in pain management of many types. They have a medical marijuana program for those that want to try that. They do expect you to show up for appointments, cancel and reschedule. I don’t know anything about payments or insurance. I know they also have an area of specialty vitamins given IV for energy health and youthfulness. I never give a everyone a 4 so the still try to improve. I have been with Dr. Stewart for some years. Wouldn't go anywhere else. He is the perfect combination of "comfort + compassion.
Dr. Stewart's office staff run his practice like a very well oiled machine. They do their best to keep the appointments on time, and his PA-C, Ashley, is well versed in pain management as well.
Worst sterile procedure I’ve ever seen
No telehealth 10 minutes late brings a $50 charge. Office never answers the phone. Some rude staff PA’s are very good however Dr Stewart is non existent
Dr. Stewart's staff is very caring and understanding. Dr. Stewart him self is easy to talk to and very professional.
I have not had any problems with my appointments at Dr Stewart’s. Everyone has been very nice to me. Plan to stay with him.
Gives the absolute bare minimum of recommendation in the MMUR for patients. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A MEDICAL CARD. Literally ANY other doctor in the state will give you more of what you need than this guy.
My monthly check up
Very knowledgeable, safety conscious, and caring. Spent lots of time with me and explained things thoroughly. Very pleased.
KETAMINE INFUSIONS: I started care under Dr. Stewart several months ago to help with pain control for, primarily, Fibromyalgia (very debilitating for me). When it came time for my Spinal Fusion, I really needed his help since I’m highly sensitive/have bad side effects to Opiates. FORTUNATELY, Dr. Stewart provides Ketamine Infusions for pain, and after discussing it, we felt this was a good option for post-op recovery. We started planning for my six infusions. These took place over two weeks with the last one being the day before surgery. I had five 45-minute infusions and one that was 4-hours long, which is the one I had the day before the surgery. My pain was fairly minimal the first couple of days, but I supplemented with Cannabis (something I also already had planned. Dr. Stewart also provides through his practice). ***For the three weeks that followed my surgery, I was doing things I hadn’t been able to do for a long time – projects, cleaning, and etc., I wasn’t debilitated by
I saw Mrs Ashley today and I think she is awesome. I think Dr Stewart tries his best to help everyone that sees him and I hope that as I continue to go my pain relief will get better.
Excellent service and great place
The doctor was very nice very understanding of my condition and very pleasant to talk to and I greatly appreciate that
Dr Stewart saved my life, he is a compassionate and caring Doctor. Hes proactive when dealing with pain. His PAs Mrs Albright, and Andrew go above and beyond for their patient.
Not where you want to go for Medical Marijuana. Arbitrary 70 day follow up policy (at 75 dollars a visit), when the state requires every 210 days. If you do not come at the 70 day window PA refused to fill a prescription. Much better choices out there.
Been to many PM doctors over the years, unfortunately, and this guy is the bottom of the barrel. Most painful injections I’ve ever received. Problems getting prescriptions when the printer that signs the scripts is broken and he’s not in. Staff can be great one visit and terrible the next. You have choices in town and the “other” practice is miles ahead of this one - it’s a dramatic difference. Mostly though, Stewart doesn’t trust anyone, no matter how long you’ve been a patient. The overall lack of compassion is breathtaking here.
I don’t like every month follow up visits as this costs me a lot of money Not every pain doctor requires every month visit and nor does my pharmacy. Never see Dr Stewart unless for an injection. Staff is very friendly and professional. Especially Ashley!
Dr. Brent Stewart and his associates and support staff are all skilled and personable individuals. Appointments are not difficult to obtain and support staff always willing to work with you. Dr. Stewart has exceptional personal skills , as does his P.A. I highly recommend this pain management practice, for professional, cutting edge treatments and compassionate care.
If you want a salesman aka doctor, he's your guy. My husband and I weren't in the office more than 5 min before he tried to 'sell' us on an invasive treatment for an implant to control pain. Can we say 'kickbacks'? Since the office personnel don't answer phones, my husband left over 10 messages over a week; non of which were returned. Finally, someone called him back and were extremely rude. Within minutes, both my husband and myself had any future appts cancelled w/o reason! The ethics w/i this office is almost nonexistent. The 2 stars I gave him is far too generous!
Didn't look at my MRIs, didn't review my previous medical records and told me I didn't have a condition I've been diagnosed with by multiple specialists without running any tests. Did a 1 min exam and told me my only option was Medical Marijuana. I've been a Pain Mgmt Compliance Officer for 15 years for the previous President of the S FL Pain Mgmt Association & he completely failed at providing the level of exam and coordination of care, Pain Docs are supposed to provide. Gave me nothing for my chronic pain and herniated discs (which is documented by MRIs, previous doctors notes and assorted other tests) and rushed to get me to pay him for a Medical Marijuana card. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone who is seriously needing pain relief.
Lack of COVID-19 concern is disturbing. Maskless staff. No signs recommending masks, No sanitizing of pens and sign in board used by each patient
Dr. Stewart and his staff are amazing. They are polite and professional. Their multidimensional approach to managing my pain due to arthritis is nothing short of outstanding. My pain is controlled and range of motion in hands and feet continue to improve. This is through use of therapies (stem cell injections, OT and PT) and medications tailored to individual needs. I would recommend Dr. Stewart to anyone looking for excellent, comprehensive medical pain management.
Pretty ridiculous has A 89 y.I return every 70 days to pay him $75 to take her Bp and pulse ox- place is unclean and staff is alright bathroom is awlful
Very understanding and compassionate.
Dr Stewart and his staff are always kind & patient about my chronic pain but also compassionate regarding my physical and cognitive impairment.
Have been going to this clinic for several years, and they have finally made some changes to the good (better office staff, addition of PAs). Wait time is minimal; easy in and easy out. My last few visits have been with a PA, Ashley (very nice and professional) but Dr. Stewart is always in the office, and easily accessible if needed. If you suffer from chronic pain and looking for alternative treatments (something other than opioids), I would highly recommend making an appointment asap. You will be treated with respect and empathy.
Him and his staff are all wonderful with answering any questions you ask and he has help me alot I still need help with my pain but we are getting there I feel he will get to what needs done to help I would recommend him for sure I don't know what I would done with him thank you so much Dr Stewart and staff God bless yall all are angel so helpful
Dr. Stewart performed my lumbar steroid injection with very little discomfort with local anesthesia. I was in and out of the office in about 40 minutes. I received 75% pain relief.
I felt fortunate that I was able to get an appointment so soon. I like that Dr. Stewart explains my options and I value him and his staff.
Nice people. He has great skills as an anesthesiologists and quickly schedule for a procedure. He has a fluoroscopy table in the office. They are not as judgmental as some pain MDS are these days.. are forced to be..these days. Will prescribe opiates when indicated, but is not a pill mill full of overly drugged patients. They also carry CBD products and do some cutting edge stuff like platter rich plasma injections. Sometimes, the wait in the waiting room can be long. But lately it’s been very fast. They are doing some video appts, too for the COVID times were in
Dr Stewart is a very kind and helpful person.I was in a lot of pain when I went to see him.He helped me to get back to a better quality of life.I am very pleased with my progress.
Dr.Stewart is wonderful and is able to help the patience that are needing assistance.
Dr Stewart is awesome but unavailable. I find it unacceptabble to have to pay a huge copay to see a specialist and never actually see that specialist, onl;y his assistants.
I have been seeing Dr. Stewart and his nurse practitioner for quite a while. I have been very consistent with my pain management and never any discrepancies. I have found that neither one understands empathy, surprising the field they have chosen. Dr. Brent Stewart is an anesthesiologist. I guess the best patient is the one who is under sedation. I don't understand why he chose this field, perhaps the money-making opportunities. If you start to have problems they quickly dismiss, blame it on you, and not willing to investigate. Stable for over 15 years. They do not take Blue Cross so I have to pay cash. I came in with severe hip bursitis one time. I could not get any injections because I did not have the extra $75.00 for the shot, plus $25.00 for the urine test, plus $150.00 for the office visit. Not even willing to split it up for me after being a patient for several years. You decide.
Dr. Stewart and his office staff are exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. There is occasionally a wait, but nothing intolerable. I've been really pleased with the results from the procedures that Dr. Stewart administered.
I felt very comfortable with medical staff; however, office staff fail to follow through, eat full meals, not snacks, at their desks, and are generally unfriendly. This is worrisome regarding overall management.
I gave a positive review about 10 months ago and would like to do another one in light of the reviews I have been reading. They seem to be 1 or 5 so you either love him or hate him. I've been seeing him for about 1 1/2 years and am very satisfied with him and his staff. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I have seen 2 PAs and like both of them. They are knowledgeable, listen to my concerns and treat me accordingly. I see the PA instead of the doctor most of the time in for my other medical needs. This is common practice. I've gone from screaming in pain to aches. I find his bedside manor in consultation pretty short and to the point with out much hand holding. This could be a turn off to some people. I have had several injection and have found him to be unbelievably compassionate at all of them. I highly recommend his practice. The reason there are some many in the medical field is different people have different needs.
This was a good practice at one time with a full waiting and very busy. It’s gone downhill and you hardly see anyone staring at the now broken giant screen tv. The PA who was running the place quit and now the Dr. isn’t in the office whenever you ask to speak to him. [‘ I think he will be in tomorrow in the morning’]. and some new pa is running the place. If you call and try to speak to her you’ll just leave messages that won’t be returned. Time to find another doctor.
Following a productive intake interview, I decided to try CBD oil and was satisfied enough to purchase a refill a month later. When I opened the bottle which I bought from the clinic, I discovered that the stopper had no markings to show the proper dosage. The first bottle I purchased had large, clear markings which enabled me to take the proper dosage. When I returned the bottle to the practice, I was told that all the bottles in the shipment had stoppers without any markings and given a plastic alternative. I would not be able to read the markings without a microscope so I asked for a refund. I was told that having opened the bottle made it impossible to grant a refund. Since the staff obviously knew that the problem existed--and it's a problem given the number of seniors who use this product--they sold me a bottle that I could not use. Had I been told there were no markings, I would have kept the dropper from the previous bottle. The practice simply refused to stand by its product.
After numerous surgeries on both of my feet and ankles leaving me in continuous pain, finally Someone who helped! I was tired of injections that did Not help or at least not very long. The medications I was on didn't help and All I was told is they couldn't prescribe any more pain medication. Dr.. Stewart put me on just 2 small pills a day and I can now walk without hurting every step. Thank you Dr. STEWART for helping me when no one else cared.
Pt. 2 pointed me to Dr. Stewart and his team. I was midly hesitant about medical marijuana because I'd taken so many pain meds, I didn't think it'd really help. With the help of Dr. Stewart, medical marijuana and a healthy dose of my own stubborness I've been able to start reclaiming bits of my life back, and all morphine free. I'm forever grateful to Dr. Steward and his lovely team for helping me feel a bit more myself. I've become a honest believer and fan of medical marijuana.
Dr Stewart and staff have always been professional and kind. They have treated me with compassion and concern . Dr Stewart and Lindsey really do care about managing my pain, and not masking it . I am abke to lead a normal and fulfilling life with their help. I highly recomend this office for honest and sincere pain management.
At our first appointment, before he read my well documented history, he looked at the prescription bottles that I brought with me. Grabbed one and proclaimed "This is why you have pain". I pointed out that I've had chronic pain for 23 years and have been on that medication for 6 months. He told me that my other dr who has more experience then Brent has been alive, doesn't know a thing. His philosophy is less is more. His MBA is in a more prominent place in his office than his medical degree.
Worse after spine injections and FORCED taper of pain med.He says new govt policy, ins won’t pay if > 90mme. Research, THAT IS A LIE! After month of withdrawal sx, high BP & HR, weight down, he changed reason for taper, said it was wrong med even tho he prescribed it for 2 yrs.He changed to med I am allergic to,breathing problems are allergy, not side effects. I called when I found out I can’t take med but NO call back. Had spinal injections same wk, AWFUL experience, last straw, pain worse since
As a 60 year old male who gave into admitting that back pain was affecting home life and work, I started seeing Dr Steward .My pain level now is a 2 out of 10, He made it clear that if I was here for the pill mill effect it was not the place. He changed the standard opioid prescription from 6 to 2 a day and got rid of all that Acetaminophen, no more up down take a pill. THEY ARE very nice there. We talked about medical marijuana but never pushed. For those who gave bad reveiws, get help. JR
Terrible! Dr. Stewart is dismissive, uncaring, condescending! I wish I never saw him. His PAs are all you get for 9/10 visits because that place is more about money and marijuana than treating patients in pain. Either he’s too cheap to supply a gown or he likes to humiliate women but neither is acceptable IMHO. Just as a matter of new policy, Dr. Dr. Stewart forced me off of medication that worked and onto one I’m allergic (he ordered it w/o looking at my chart). Beware of this doctor.
I have been Dr. Stewart's patient for quite a while and I really like he and his staff. From the front office staff to the medical staff they are very professional and kind. Dr. Stewart is a kind, caring and compassionate person and a very good Doctor. It can be quite stressful when having a procedure done but Dr. Stewart is so calm that he puts me at ease every time. Dr. Stewart is awesome and I appreciate him very much and have recommend him to family and friends.
Had bad and good experience. But 12\03\2018 was GREAT.
Wow!! What a great experience. I called, got in the same day. Pleasant environment, office personnel very attentive to me,Dr Stewart explained everything to my understanding. I appreciated the patience shown by the entire staff
Every time i come into this office the ladies here are amazly nice, kind and caring. They are always making sure to smile and laugh with us. Even if you go intothe office having a badday when you leave you will feel better just by the vibes they give you. Thank you so much for your kindness. Linda Gardner and Linda Heacox
The staff was very polite. Dr. Stewart was very thorough and his results were conclusive. You need to listen while he talks and do not interrupt. I will be using his help from now on .My appointment was on time.
