I saw Dr. Larkin who took a lot of time to explain my treatment options and to answer all my questions for a detached hamstring. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer anyone to him. Great clinic.

Dr. Larkin is the best!! He is professional, likeable and the has replaced one knee for me and correctly diagnosed my other. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Becca is the BEST! And Dr Larkin is very caring even when he stuck a Huge niddle in my knee! I do trust his work.

When I went to see Dr. Larkin I literally couldn’t walk as I had twisted my knee. The pain was unbearable. Dr. Larkin and his assistants “got to it” and after X-rays, gave me my options of care and what my injury could mean for my future. I got into OCC immediately as it was an emergency, I was walking the next day and mostly out of pain. Dr. Larkin is a personable, empathetic and talented orthopedist…what more could you want in a doctor?

Dr. Larkin listened intently to my concerns and provided his best advice based on my condition. I felt heard, supported, and sincerely cared for.

First appt was Friday April 15. Dr Larkin was fantastic. Can’t wait to get my knees done with him. Would highly recommend him, absolutely took time and gave me great care and answered all my questions to put me at ease going forward

Surgery was a success! The recovery has been difficult (knee replacement), but consistent with what I was told, and my satisfaction with the surgical and office staff remains high!

Had my first annual checkup with Dr. Larkin. I am so very happy with his encouragement all the way though the process was wonderful. I have very good range of motion and I am pain free. I had a total knee replacement 3 years before going to Dr. Larkin he found out why I was still in pain and had a very limited range of motion.

Dr. Larkin has treated 3 people in my family. We all found him to be personable and an expert in his field. My wife has a successful knee replacement which was not a normal procedure given osteoporosis and a multiple fracture to the tibial plateau

I am a doctor's worst nightmare: I'm irreverent. I have a million questions, a dozen medical complications, insistent that I receive a consultive diagnosis, and forget athletic shorts for every x-ray event. Dr Larkin met all of my demands and needs. He was always kind and generous. The outcome of my surgery has exceeded my expectations, and I credit Dr Larkin with that outcome. I recommend him whole heartedly.

I am a physician so I guess I have an insider view in the MD/Patient relationship! I am also as demanding of my providers as I hope my patients are of me….. so, I wish this could be a six star review! Dr. Larkin is amazing. He relieved my hip pain expertly and efficiently. I was sure that the process I had going on with my acute hip pain would require a long delay of treatment and a cascade of request for MRIs etc. I was so wrong. He got me in first appointment of the day, had a couple x-rays taken before he saw me, and was able to diagnose a problem that could be a gesture right there in there with ultrasound guided pain relief and therapeutics. He clearly outlined what he thought was going on and that this was hopefully something That he thought would most likely make me better, but if it did not it would help lead to a diagnosis and action plan. I am really impressed with both his care and expertise as well as his bedside manner. I highly recommend Dr. Larkin anyone considering evaluation for a major join issue. Dr. Larkin is the best! As a veteran of joint replacement surgeries, Dr. Larkin’s attention to detail, knowledge, ability to listen & respond to what I shared with him about my recovery, and feedback was/is 2nd to none. And being my 1-year to the day follow up to my left hip replacement surgery appointment, it was great! And when I noted my hip joint was pain free, but my limp was because of left knee pain, he took the time to do a physical exam of my knee. Based on my responses to his questions & what he felt as he moved my knee, subject to X-ray confirmation, he felt Osteoarthritis was the likely cause. Full service doctor!!

Approximately 15 months ago, I had a medial meniscus repair completed on my left knee. Everything went great for a few months after returning to work, but gradually I was having pain and swelling in the same knee. After a new MRI, I learned that I had new, significant cartilage loss. I was referred to and met with Dr. Larkin to discuss my options. He spent a considerable amount of time with my wife and I and answered all of our questions. I subsequently had a partial knee replacement completed by Dr. Larkin 16 days ago. I realize it’s still early in my healing process, but I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome of the surgery. I think one of Dr. Larkin’s greatest attributes, other than his medical skills, is that I never felt rushed during our meetings prior to surgery and afterwards. Thank you Dr. Larkin and your staff. From the time I entered the office, I was treated with care and concern for my visit. The entire office staff and Dr. Larkin answered all my questions and provided a path forward for my condition. I'm pleased to have them on my health care team!

Entire staff was friendly, caring and very responsive to our needs. Was able to schedule hip replacement surgery within a few days, because Dr Larkin recognized that while it is an “elective” surgery, the need was imminent. Would highly recommend Dr Larkin and his staff.

Dr. Larkin is an excellent doctor and surgeon, but also a kind and compassionate human being. I have recommended him to others who have needed the treatment he provides and no one has ever been disappointed. He spends as much time as needed with his patients and makes sure they understand their options and his recommendations. He replaced my right hip 2 years ago and I will never hesitate to consult him about any lower extremity concerns that I have. Very thorough and professional.

I had a total knee replacement 3 years ago, the surgeon who did the original surgery finally told me he would only need to see me if I had pain. I thought that was my faith, to live with a knee that was not fully functional. A class mate of mine was watching me walk at a luncheon we were having. Dr. Larkin was referred to me. I met Dr. Larkin explained my problem to him after listening to my story he said lets run some test to see what is going on with that knee. I was surprised to find out that the appliance was lose and out of orientation. Dr. Larkin took me into the OR at Rose Medical Center, and now while I still have some discomfort it has only been 7 days sense the operation, I am at 73degeries bend. I sleep though the night with out pain meds. In my opinion Dr. Larkin and Rose Medical Center are at the top of the heap! I thank my Lord and savior for putting such great people in my corner. In short if you need a surgeon and hospital for any thing in your life, l would look too Dr. Larkin and Rose Medical Center.. I had my second post op visit after a total hip replacement. My recovery was smooth without complications. Dr. Larkin is a very skilled surgeon. He is caring and compassionate. His office staff is friendly and efficient.

I really appreciate the thorough exam and concise information Dr. Larkin and his PA provided after examining the detailed x-rays taken at Orthopedic Associates of Colorado's office. I now feel comfortable making out of country travel plans and increased exercise without fear I will end up stranded some place with a more serious and awkward to treat injury accompanied with question why hadn't I reported my symptoms earlier to save myself such difficulties.

Came in for a hip replacement after getting surgery done a few years prior by his associate. His bedside manner was excellent and the surgery went great.

Out of ten, to me Dr Larkin and his staff are a twelve. Everything was explained, all my issues and concerns were addressed so that I understood my options and alternatives. They got me in whenever I needed and with a positive attitude, bending over backwards to assist me. I have successfully trashed my other knee and will return for round two. I would recommend Dr Larkin without question.

I'll update this review once I see Dr. Larkin a second time, but my first appointment was less than satisfactory. I was told I needed x-rays done of my knee (I was not made aware of before the appointment). It took 20 minutes to be taken for x-rays after being in an exam room, and then I waited a minimum of 25 more minutes for Dr. Larkin. He was not extremely cordial and seemed slightly checked out. He didn't perform any kind of physical/hands on testing of my knee, only asked me for symptoms and told me that he couldn't do any type of diagnosis until I had an MRI done. This all took place in maybe five minutes and then he left saying he'd see me when I had MRIs done. Had I known I'd be spending an hour of waiting to see him only to be told he can't help until I have an MRI done, I would have done the MRI first. It seemed ridiculous and as though they were just fishing for another copay. I'm hoping that my next appointment is worth while. If not, I'm seeking out a new care provider. I'll update this review once I see Dr. Larkin a second time, but my first appointment was less than satisfactory. Dr. Larkin is the best TKR guy in town! Plus, he's a great human being!

I really like Dr Larkin as a person, he's very personable and has great bedside manners, and obviously he is a great orthopedic surgeon. I know that he is well-respected in the medical community, he always gets great accolades, and so that is why I went to him for double knee replacements. I'm only a couple of months out, so too soon to brag about snowboarding in winter freshies or climbing 14ers again, but I have no doubt I'll be back to that level of activity after dealing with shredded knees for way too many years. I will try to update my review once I'm done with P.T. and I'm back to sucking the marrow out of life again!
