Dr. Brian Christopher Nyberg

I went to Dr. Nyberg after many failed attempts with general practioners to find a medication that could help me manage my depression and anxiety. Immediately I felt heard and taken care of. The staff is extremely kind and willing to go out of their way to help you. Dr. Nyberg is willing to answer any questions you may have, and he does it in a way that you can understand. After the first visit, I started a different medication. I was apprehensive at first, since nothing I had tried before had worked. After about a week, I started to notice a gradual improvement in my mental health. It has been about a year since I started going to see Dr. Nyberg, and I can honestly say that I feel better than I have in a very long time. He does follow-up appointments to see how your medication is doing, and he is willing to make adjustments along the way. I will definitely recommend him and his office to everyone I meet. Serenity mental health services is saving my life. Thanks to all the wonderful caretakers who have been helping me!

I love serenity mental health. Being a veteran I have had no option but bounce around from practice to practice. I never really felt safe and cared for. I eventually planted roots in Lehi, I needed a psychiatrist, and Dr. Nyberg and his amazing team was recommended to me. I could tell from my initial visit that this was MY fit. Open, caring, and understanding, especially as a veteran those are qualities you need for establishing trust. I’ve been with Serenity and Dr. Nyberg ever since. Between Dr. Nyberg and Nurse Stephanie they have literally saved my life in more than one instance and circumstance. Love you guys!!! I love serenity mental health. Dr. Nyberg has saved my life. More than once. Before he put me on Ketamine I never showered. I never brushed my teeth or self groomed or did laundry and or anything that would be self care. My depression was so bad I just didn't care about anything. After Dr. Nyberg prescribed me Ketamine I started to get energy. I was able to focus for once and saw clear roads in my head instead of everything jumbled. Now I have energy, I shower, do my laundry, I can focus, and most importantly I can live my life happy now. The Ketamine treatment has opened my eyes as to what life is like again. And for once in a very long time I can actually say I am happy! Thank you so much Dr. Nyberg! You've saved me! Dr. Nyberg honestly saved my sanity. He listened to me instead of assumed that I was there for medication to do whatever with. He made me feel like a person not a number like the VA has done to me for 20 + years. I almost lost my wife, she was 13 weeks pregnant and Hemorrhaged unfortunately we lost our daughter. But the rapport that doctor Nyberg his built with me was like having a friend that guided me through the hardest time of my life. Dr. Nyberg gave me hope. That statement alone should be enough to recommend a psychiatrist. He listened AND heard. While one session didn’t heal me, he put the time in to make sure I was ok and that we had a plan.

You get 10 minutes with the Dr and your out. I never get to ask all my questions I have. Another thing is they NEVER answer the phone and if you leave a “number so they can call you back on the order the call was received”… I have also Never got a call back. Their communication is horrible! I gave it 3 stars because he did finally find a sleep medicine to help me after trying 3 other ones Update** 10 minutes after this post I actually got a call back so I will give them another star. Absolutely incredible experience every time I go in. Dr. Nyberg is thoughtful, personable, intelligent and knowledgable. My first visit with him he solved one of my ailments right away simply because he was knowledgable and intuitive. He has been my advocate in the office and out of the office. I feel like I can depend on him to help me when I need it. The staff at Serenity is always pleasant, prompt and positive. They make me feel like more than just a patient, but a person as well. Dr. NyBerg and his staff (especially Stephanie) have gone above & beyond on my postpartum care! I was first referred because of postpartum psychosis, but will continue to get all of my mental health care through them because they are incredible! Dr. NyBerg is so kind, understanding, and SUPER knowledgeable. He seems invested in not only by care plan, but also me which speaks volumes. You will love going to Serenity Mental Health Centers! I work with Dr. Nyberg regularly and he is amazing. He genuinely cares for the well-being of his patients. Very professional, kind, and helpful.

I have never had a care provider who listened as attentively and was as empathetic as Dr. Nyberg. He was also very knowledgeable and correct in his treatment plan, filling-in gaps that were missed by others. He literally has restored my faith in the profession. I had lost it through personal experience and experiences conveyed by others. My expectation was that I was in for a bumpy ride, where I would find myself feeling like a Guinea Pig, bounced from one treatment plan to another, working down some protocol that was not tied to my experience or my situation, hoping to eventually land on something that worked for me. What I found was a very specific care plan that accounted for what I was going through and how my body was reacting... and it's been spot on. After years, I believe I finally got a correct diagnosis from Dr. Nyberg. He is very knowledgeable, takes tons of notes (he's good at multi-tasking), and has a very kind demeanor. He carefully thought things out, listened to my concerns and opinions, and provided me with all the information I could ever want when I asked questions. He could explain the way the brain works. He was straightforward about side effects, if I wanted to hear what they were. Always respected my wishes, and was very respectful in general. Out of all the psychiatrists I've seen, Dr. Nyberg was the only one who didn't give up on me. He was very caring and always assured me that we would figure things out.

We did not yet have an appt. I want to make one. Don’t like the idea making an appt on line. It should be on phone or in person. I have a questions to ask to rule out if he is the right health provider we are looking.Again it is really inconvenient to schedule an appt online

A caring professional that saved my child's life. My daughter consulted with many specialists about her physical illness. She was not taken seriously and in many occasions - even in my presence - her complains got dismissed. She also suffers from mental illness and I suspect that the doctors confused her issues and didn't prescribe the needed treatment an hospitalization. Because of Dr Nyberg she got the treatment needed to fight a serious infection that was killing her.

He spent nearly two hours with my son and I, together and individually and then spent the time to call his dad and get his input. He was very thorough and detailed. We jointly decided a counselor would suffice but I would surely go back to him if I needed to.

He is the most thoughtful, caring physician I have seen. Took time to understand me and what I was going through; did not jump to medication as the answer. He really listened to me and helped me work through things. I wish he was still in Ohio.
