I am extremely happy that I started treatments with Bruce. His attention to detail and time spent correcting areas of need is exactly what I have been looking for. My lower back feels better than it has in years.

This is my 5th visit for an ongoing back Injury and want to say what a difference from the 1st visit. After going to a chiropractor in Racine for quite some time and needing a new one I wasn’t sure where to turn. I had hear about Dr.Shawhan and decided to give him a try. I am SO glad I did! I suffer from chronic lower back pain and when I started seeing Dr.Shawhan I could barely walk/sit without being in severe pain. Dr.Shawhan really took the time to understand my back history and work with me to get me back to feeling normal! He also worked with me, once I was well enough, to help me understand what sort of stretches and exercises to include in my daily routine to help prevent these major back flare ups. It was also more than just him handing me a sheet of paper with exercises. His office has a space for him to walk you through each exercise and a website you can reference with videos of the moves in case you forget when you leave! Dr. Shawhan has been my chiropractor for about a month now, and I could not be more pleased with the work that he does. I have dealt with severe lower back and hip pain for about a year now. My hips lock everyday and my back would make me want to lie down and do nothing for the day because it hurt so bad- always at a 10/10. The pain would be extreme to where I would take 4 200mg advils and it would just start to take the pain away but eventually do the job. Being in a constant state of pain had become the usual for me and I am only 19 years old. My primary doctor would tell me just to stretch and I should be fine. Between working two jobs (waitress and CNA at my local hospital) that was not the solution. I don't think I can thank Dr. Shawhan for how much he has helped me. He has taken the time and consideration to get to know me and my pain to know how to exactly help me. Most importantly, he listens to me and what I am saying. One of my favorite things he does is educate as he takes me through the different treatments. He cares about how I am feeling in the moment and how I will be feeling after the appointment. Bruce Shawhan has been my chiropractor for about 6 months now. He has changed not only my back, shoulders and legs with his chiropractic manipulations but he has helped me to understand nutrition and body movement. If you only get your back cracked at your chiropractor you are missing out on a lot of other knowledge they have and can share. So far I've lost 16 pounds but I also have brought my diabetes back under control, my blood pressure is back under control and I feel like a new person. I am in my late 50's and believed I would never lose weight, have good A1C tests or feel so alive like I did on my 30's, but I do now thanks to Bruce Shawhan's knowledge and encouragement. I was not a believer in Chiropractic treatment until I made an appointment with Dr. Shawhan. My first treatment was AMAZING! He is very professional, knowledgeable and I had relief from my lower back injury after the first visit. I have returned to see him the next day and had another great experience with a solid plan for treatment. I highly recommend his services.

I highly recommend Dr. Shawhan! He has been treating me for 15+ years, and has literally made life enhancing improvements to my spine. As a nurse, I truly appreciate the time Dr. Shawhan takes determining my needs, educating me on my condition, and formulating my plan of care. I have had issues with low back pain, neck pain, and a pinched nerve. With a combination of adjustments, and other chiropractic modalities, I am very happy to say those symptoms are gone!

Ridiculous shysters. I saw Bruce Shawhan for the first time on a Monday. Everything was great, he talked to me like we were old pals, and laid out a plan of treatment. Although I have a plethora of mris and xrays in their PAX computer system of my back, he ordered more xrays. First red flag. I took the NUMEROUS xrays, which I thought was excessive, and they gave me a little sheet of paper to take to the front for the ladies to use to reschedule me. Dr. Shawhan is the most desired kind of doctor in my opinion - one who understands where allopathic medicine and holistic alternatives meet. As a chiropractor he has made excellent adjustments on my back. (I've had 3 surgeries and many adjustments over the last 40 years, I know a good Dr. when I see/feel one.) It's worth noting that Dr. Shawhan was not afraid to recommend me to a practitioner outside of his network for a treatment they couldn't offer (The Graston Technique), this is a rare but welcomed practice these days. It takes a confident doctor with knowledge outside of his own practice to make this kind of recommendation. If you need a chiropractor you won't find any finer than Dr. Shawhan.
