I had left foot and ankle reconstruction surgery. Said I was a great candidate. Sold it well. Then. Did not see Dr Hutchinson until morning of surgery for 2 minutes after being sedated. Follow up.., never saw doctor initially until one of interns said something inappropriate and I demanded to see the doctor. This place is just a machine. Hutch often is not around. Office staff and nurses are rude. For me. I did everything right but one of his interns accused me of putting weight on my foot. I was non weight bearing for 12 weeks. I followed instructions. Clearly she did not understand Charkot foot.

Did a fusion of the ankle. Installed a plate about 10" long on the left side of my R ankle. Within a month the screws were coming out. Had to redo it again. Consistantly pain and never went away. Installed a new plate. Cut off the smaller of the 2 bones going to the right ankle. The left over bone left part ways up snapped against the plate every step I took. 3 months go by and the screws are working out again. I also find that from the last surgery a screw was broke and left in the bone, not taken out or ground down and still sharp. I go back in to see him. He says I will get you more pain pills. I didn't want any I was already hooked because I took them for over 2 yrs. He said we will cut it off above the ankle. You'll have to get a prosthetic foot and ankle. I said it wasn't going to happen.

Called their office to find out what kind of bunion surgeries this surgeon has experience with and they refused to tell me, said that was confidential information and I would have to make an appointment with Dr. Hutchinson to ask him. Any other surgeon would be more than happy to list their specialties and level of experience with prospective patients. This is very suspicious and I would stay away from this surgical practice. I went to Dr. Hutchinson years ago. He took care of my problem excellently. He also sits, listens and communicates until you completely understands.

Dr. Hutch has been a superior provider. I have had many issues with my ankle over the years, but he has been the only provider who has been upfront and honest about every step in the process. I trust him implicitly, so much so that I have also taken my son to him.

Dr. Hutchinson really messed up my foot with the bunionectomy he did. Now I have to get a toe removed. I also got a staff infection he missed. He was the worst doctor I have ever been to.

Whoever answered the phone seemed to be having a bad day, and it reflected poorly on the business.

Out of a long string of Dr.s who just keep taking my money and telling me I just needed to loose weight and nothing was wrong, I finally went to a Dr. That sent me to Hutchinson, he knew something was up and he couldn't figure it out. So going to Dr. Huchinsons office,, he took one look at my XRay .and said your walking bone on bone. Thank you Dr Hutchinson! I really lucked out when I got Dr. Hutchinsons name from a colleague at work. I had a Unicameral Cyst in my ankle. That's when the bone gets eaten away and it was not cancer. Dr. Huchinson was able to fill the hole and I was on my way. I had to come back a couple times now because I get these cysts again and again. No one at Valley would touch it. I was screwed. Awesome Dr. Knows his profession well. Communicates very well & will explain what is going on so that you as a individual person understands. Very friendly staff. I wish there were more Drs. like him.

I had a young doctor come in, first visit, and say I needed surgery. I trusted him... even thou he seemed fresh out of college. He said the time away from work would be around one month. I never saw him again... in turn Dr Hutchinson met with me right before surgery. Nice guy... but after the surgery I noticed he botched the job... and after 2 more visits... he did too. Six months and two surgeries total, I've lost my job and have over $4k in out of pocket expense. The numbness and pain haven't gone away either... nice guy thou!!! Dr. Hutchinson has excellent communication skills. He takes the time necessary to make sure your questions are answered. He is one of only a handful of doctors in the USA who can perform the complicated surgery I need. His staff have top notch customer skills, and he and the staff are all are patient and kind.

What was originally misdiagnosed as a sprained ankle resulted in my right foot being amputated below the knee thanks to Hutchinson's bumbling and inept practice. Thankfully I got away from him in time and went to a real surgeon who was able to save my knee. Hutchinson talks a lot, but I'd recommend ANYONE else. Adding insult to injury, at my last visit when I found out my foot had been butchered, someone stole my ipod.

Dr. Hutchinson has been our go to podiatrist for over 10 years due to his passion for taking care of his patients in a caring and compassionate manner. Several years ago my husband was told by 2 other doctors that he would need to have his foot amputated. We researched and found out about Dr. Hutchinson and went to him for a 3rd opinion. He was able to replace the dead bone in my husbands foot and used new technology to keep it stable while healing. My husband is still walking today!
