Excellent customer service from check in representatives, and Dr Engh! Felt like my concerns were heard and respected.

Have had both knees repaired with partial replacements so when I needed hip replacemnt, why cange from a sure proven surgical clinic.

I had 2 separate knee replacements within a 6-month period. From start to finish I had a great experience. I went from not being able to walk to walking. I feel great and I am proud that I selected Dr. Engh for these procedures.

Dr Engh is a superstar! I am thrilled with my new knee and my recovery went remarkably well. I would actually do it again.

Dr. Engh is Excellent doctor he surgery my right knee and I don’t have a new problem with that no pen nothing I very appreciate it from him and his stuff he’s the best doctor in Virginia I wish they have a more doctors like him he’s very special for his work , ????

I can't not express adequately how impressed I am with Dr. Engh and Anderson Clinic. Starting with making my original appointment with Dr. Engh, Back in October 2022. The attention to detail from appointment through surgery and 90 days beyond. Is second to none. The whole over all experience for my Rt. hip total replacement In November 2022 was so positive that I did not hesitate for the Left total hip replacement in February 2023. With Dr. Engh and his team. These people really care. Everyone I came in contact with showed great professionalism, and a high level of knowledge for their field. Dr. Engh was both knowledgeable and reassuring leading up to both of my knee replacements. I did them 18 months apart based on his recommendations and my work schedule. It turned out great!

My physical therapist recommend - this was a terrible patient experience- my questions were not answered and I was treated as insignificant- the document asked for was horrible. On top of that none of the staff and the doctors were wearing face masks i the middle of and COVIID surge, I am immune compromised. I asked how long a hip replacement patient would stay in the hospital, ONE DAY, \. my jaw dropped. After reading their documentation at home that stated that they do it by the patient would need to depend upon friends and family to assist me all the way in my recovery after leaving the house up with a huge incision an abscess on my hip. This is Anderson take the money and run philosophy of medicine. Other documentation I’ve read the patients should be in the hospital for 2 to 3 days being fed IV and the incision being serviced. If the patient has the adequate help he needs to shower and go to the bathroom service the wound from non-medical personnel friends and family that is too bad. Friendly staff, comfortable waiting and exam rooms. Also plenty of free parking.

Dr Engh and his staff have always provided an extraordinary level of care, expertise and guidance regarding orthopedic procedures. Absolutely top notch in every respect.

Dr English is best

As with all my appointments the staff is friendly, caring and always informative and thorough. They are willing to answer any questions that you might have. I have been very pleased with all my interactions with The Anderson Clinic.

I went in expecting to be told I needed a knee replacement. My knee had been giving me a lot of pain day & night for 2 months. Dr Engh did a thorough examination & told me it was basically a ligament sprain. I was fitted with a brace, given an RX for a NASID with stomach protector & sent to PT. What a relief!

I was referred to Dr. Engh years ago by a friend. Since then he has earned my utmost respect and trust as a skilled orthopaedic surgeon who cares for his patients.

Dr. Anderson Engh is outstanding and bilateral hip replacements of 10 & 15 years are going strong! So blessed to have found him and the Anderson Clinic so many years ago! Found the secret of youth early!????

Dr. Andy replaced my R. Hip 18 years ago and most recently did a full L. Knee replacement. We live 3 hours away and I never considered another surgeon!

Anderson has been known for years. It set the standards for outpatient orthopedics many years ago.,I knew and worked with the Founder so it was the first place I considered when I needed interventions personally.

Very disrespectful to have an appointment, be early and still get seen late. Then get spoken to in a condescending manner, very unprofessional.

The Anderson clinic has been wonderful!! Can’t say it enough times!!

Dr C. Andy Engh is a wonderful doctor! I think he really knows his profession. He is kind, understanding and professional. He answers all your questions. And he is a wonderful person besides. I would, and have recommended him to several people.

Dr. C. Anderson Engh is an excellent surgeon. He did a full left knee replacement 10 years ago and I’m doing great and fully mobile. I live in a 3 level house with a lot of stairs. I would and have recommended him to my family and friends.

I had both of my hips replaced by Dr. Engh, one in 2011 and one in 2021. The results are amazing, I have no pain in either hip and the use of my hips are back to normal. It is like a miracle.

I flew in from Florida for right hip replacement. Dr Eng had replaced my left hip in 2015. Both of my sisters have had knee and hip replacements performed by Dr. Engh. I needed the level of confidence that I felt with Dr Engh and had not received from local surgeons. He did not disappoint. My surgery was scheduled for 7:30 a.m. and the process went as scheduled with professionalism and ease. I was back to my sister's home recovering by 1:30 p.m. Three weeks later I was home in FL. Dr. Engh has a Jekyll/Hyde personality. He is occasionally quite pleasant and listens. More often, he is curt, condescending and impatient. He replaced my hip and all went well. However, there are so many talented surgeons at Anderson Clinic that I have decided I don't need to be treated like that and I can still get excellent care another doctor there.

He was nice

After being told at Mayo Clinic that I had a necrotic hope that needed immed replacement, I made an appt with Dr. ENGH. After taking preliminary history and reviewing Mayo Scans and immed replacement recommendation, one of Dr ENGH’s Fellows hyperextended the other leg during initial exam (patient walked to exam table unaided; but had to use cane immediately afterward.) When Dr ENGH entered, he was almost immediately combative and arrogant saying QUOTE I don't need to see any diagnostics from another surgeon or hospital. END QUOTE. Then, he instructed me to walk down a narrow and poorly lit hallway, with his staff seated alongside that narrow hallway. After bumping into the wall a few times and turning around with difficulty, he provided a cane and w/o taking me back into his office, Dr ENGH raised his voice in front of everyone saying “you don’t need a hip replacement, just return to your neurologist to see if your Parkinson’s is worse.” Hip replaced 1 mo later elsewhere. Emergency.

Dr. Engh treated me in a dismissive, disrespectful and insensitive manner. When he entered the exam room, the first thing he said was "why are you here?" The way he asked me, I felt defensive and uncomfortable. I met with him in regard to possibly getting a prosthetic that had little or no nickel due to my allergy to nickel. He told me that in the 20+ years as a doctor, he had never heard of such a thing. I tried to provide him with the findings from my allergist and articles from doctors who presented papers of patients who had ill effects from nickel prosthetics but he waved me off. He repeated several times in a hostile tone..."why are you here?" He acted in such a hostile manner that even the intern who was with him appeared uncomfortable. He basically told me, in an abrasive manner, that if I didn't allow the implant of what his clinic had available, I can either live in pain or go find another doctor. His gesture towards me was as if he felt I was wasting his time.

Dr. Engh did my total knee replacement in 2017. I am very grateful to him for making it possible for me to be able to walk again. Dr. Engh has a wonderful bedside manner, he is an excellent surgeon and a very kind man. I highly recommend him and the Anderson Orthopedic Clinic.

I have had both of my hips replaced by Dr. Andy Engh and have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experiences with not only Dr. Engh, but the entire Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic practice and the nurses/staff in the Mt. Vernon Hospital wing that got me started after surgery. Dr. Engh has always been very calm, thorough and patient with all of my questions and has explained everything to me by showing me my x-rays and what he has seen on them. When I needed a second surgery five years later, I didn't hesitate to schedule my surgery with him again. Dr Andy is undoubtedly among the best hip surgeons in the world! He took my severely deformed hip from Perthes disease and restored function far exceeding my own expectations. I considered several orthopedic surgeons and decided on Dr Andy, and could not be happier I did. That hip is now pain free and strong. I couldn’t be more grateful for the conscienciousness and attentiveness of him and his entire staff. Rest assured you’re in great hands with Dr Andy. I would recommend him to anyone!

I had a total knee replacement. Every step of my encounter with Anderson Clinic, was perfect. Begnning with my first visit to the last post-op visit, every member of the staff, was friendly, professional and very informative. The clinic uses an app, PULSE, that helps guide you through exercises and qustions before and after the operation.This was very helpful. I went to Hawaii, two months to the day after my surgery. I was able to walk and hike over the islands without much pain. Today, 4 months after the surgery, I walk three miles playing golf, go home and do chores around house with no pain. My knee is quite flexible. I am quite happy that I had my knee replaced. I had a total knee replacement. Every step of my encounter with Anderson Clinic, was perfect. I would like to thank Dr. Charles Engh for giving me my life back. I was scared thinking about hip replacement surgery like most people are. From the first day I met Dr. Engh, I felt relieved and comfortable knowing I could trust him with my surgery. His staff was very professional in everything they did. I spoke with other patients prior to the surgery, all had wonderful comments and were very happy with the outcome of their surgeries. The pain I had suffered for years is completely gone.

Dr. Andy Engh, as we like to call him, is a caring and thorough 3d generation orthopedic surgeon. I am a 70 yr oId male who has used Dr. Andy Engh for over 15 years now. During this period of time he has had to complete 2 Total Hip Replacements (THRs), both right and left hips, and a revision of the right hip. All were completed without complications. Dr. Andy is my choice any day.

Had both knees replaced in the past year, and the results far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Engh, The Anderson Clinic, and the INOVA Mt. Vernon Hospital Replacement Center have my highest recommendation, and gratitude for the quality of life improving surgery. Dr. Engh thoroughly informed me about the entire process, and set achievable goals, which have since been exceeded. Dr. Engh and his staff are top-drawer!
