After 4 other ENTs diagnosed my son’s hearing loss, this DR. Came to our rescue. I don’t know what would have been if I didn’t insist on yet another second (3rd) opinion and found Dr. C. He is amazing!

First experience with this doctor's office. The doctor was late and the staff stated Dr. Cunningham is always late! I wish I was aware before scheduling as I am paying for childcare for 2 kids by the hour!

First and foremost , I heartily thank Dr Cunningham for restoring my sense of hearing into normal range of frequency. He did a wonderful job and truly care his patients well-being. He is extremely professional and his dedication to serve better and work with his patients is beyond measure. As you all know, for decades I had a history of hearing loss on both ears; it started from mild to severe loss; been consulted by four Specialist doctor from different states and overseas; went under surgeries for eight times (4x on right and 4x on left); every surgery the prognosis unfortunately were not good enough; wore hearing aids on both ears from custom-fit to high tech air-canal aid. My life with hearing aid is not really a contentment or comfortable but most of the time a bit of frustration and felt low self esteem. NOT until I met Dr Cunningham thru my provider’s referral. Within months, he performed surgeries on both ears ( right side first and then left side the following year). Consequently, the prognosis is remarkable by far that hearing’s frequency went up just below normal range. And VOILA, I do not wear hearing aid no more! I feel wonderful and very happy. Dr Cunningham, thank you very from the bottom of my heart. Your good nature and caring helped me gain my confidence. I am feeling great as I feel ready for every day challenge. Couple years ago we went to WakeMed for a second opinion for our child's second time ear surgery. Because of the complication of the procedure, doctor prefers us to see Dr. Cunningham who is well known and very well respects by his peers and other surgeons. We glad we took his advise. Dr. Cunningham is the best. we are very fortunate to have his care for our child and it's great experience. The procedure was more complicated than It was seen. The very first day I met Dr Cunningham and staff has been well worth my 2 hour drive. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who wants exceptional care.

I recently had stapedectomy surgery on my left ear as my hearing was about 40% of what it should be. Dr. Calhoun was my surgeon and he and his staff did a great job. Even though the surgery recovery was challenging with dizziness and balance issues that slowly returned to normal, my hearing was immediately better when I left the surgery room. I followed his directions to the tee after surgery as I am a triathlete and workout daily. I was told to not workout for at least 6 weeks after surgery, only walking, which I did daily, when I felt well enough and had a great recovery. I just had my follow-up hearing test yesterday and my hearing in the surgical ear has surpassed my other ear. I would recommend Dr. Calhoun and his team if you have hearing problems and are a candidate for stapedectomy surgery. My original diagnosis was otosclerosis and stapedectomy surgery was an option by Dr. Calhoun's recommendation. His success rate, professionalism and courtesy sold me and my quality of life is much better for it. Thank you Dr. Cunningham!! I had an appt with Dr. Cunningham after being referred by my ENT. Wow. I was impressed with the entire team there...nurses, audiologist, etc. Dr. Cunningham was fantastic in spending the time with me (even late on a Friday), and they went above and beyond to figure out what was going on with my hearing issue....otosclerosis. He was really nice, explained the whole diagnosis and next steps, etc. I felt like the entire team truly cared. And this was the first time I met them. Highly recommend. Dr. Cunningham III, MD is so wonderful to their patients. He takes the time to answer all your questions and make you confident in moving forward with surgical procedures. I am a 30 year old stay at home mother to twin boys and lost most of my hearing due to Otosclerosis. I just wrapped up my sec stapedectomy this year with Dr. Cunningham and had fantastic results. because I was a difficult patient and rude, and he was very understanding to my condition and the pain I was feeling with the frustration it took to finally find out what was going on with me, only he was the last doctor on the list of doctors I had seen, who finally could help me after over 6 months of waiting and no one knowing what to do about my situation or what was causing it.
