About Carl Frank Palumbo
Reviews for Carl Frank Palumbo
I had a great surgery experience with Dr Palumbo he gave me a great explanation of what to expect of surgery and after surgery recovery is going well with the great physical therapy team
Dr Palumbo and Danielle are amazing. We tried a couple of options to help my wrist before I elected for surgery. The surgery and after care were top notch and I would highly recommend them. I will return should I have any more wrist and shoulder issues.

Excellent doctor and staff, fixed my issues and great follow up therapy and care.
I had thumb surgery with Dr Palumbo. From the first visit to the last post op visit he and Danielle were understanding and made me feel comfortable. My thumb works wonderful and I have no pain. They are a great combo team.
Dr Palumbo performed Thumb Arthroplasty on first my right thumb and then the left. I wouldn't let anyone else perform the surgery. Although not an "easy" recovery (approximately 6 months for 100% and work with an occupational therapist) the final results have been excellent to alleviate pain and improve function.
My daughter (14) fractured her hand at cheer practice. When I called Dr. Palumbo's office, they squeezed us in the same morning. We got x-rays and a cast all at once, and a follow-up was scheduled two weeks later (right before Christmas - we were so glad we didn't have to wait to return until after the Holidays). At the return visit, we got the cast off, another x-ray (hooray - 90% healed), and then rehab all at the same facility. Today, another two weeks later, we got another x-ray and were cleared completely. I've visited Dr. Palumbo for a shoulder injury previously, and am so grateful for his help with my "baby". Dr Palumbo is exceptional in his gentle but thorough approach in diagnosing my torn distal bicep tendon. From the moment he and his assistant Danielle greeted me, they gave me a strong sense "I was in great hands!" Dr Palumbo walked me through the entire surgery repair process and explained everything in clear and precise terms. My surgery went exceptionally well and my healing has been flawless. At my post surgery visits, he explained the continued healing and rehabbing process. These injuries take 3 months to fully heal. I learned a lot from him and I'm extremely appreciative of his time, skill, knowledge, and expertise. It's not everyday you meet a great doctor and his assistant, Dr Palumbo clearly sets the bar far above his peers. He simply rocks!!!! Thank you! Dr. Palumbo seems to be in a hurry, doesn’t care to listen to the patient and shows no interest whatsoever in the patient’s overall well-being. One of the worst ones I have ever seen. I will never come back.
Dr. Palumbo was the second opinion after my son dislocated and broke his elbow in a school sports event. The first doctor thought the arm could heal naturally and Dr. Palumbo disagreed- he immediately performed excellent surgery and no way son, just months later has full extension , healing and is working toward full strength. Dr. Palumbo is the reason.
My son had a complete tear of his UCL druing the summer after his junior year. In order to play baseball in college, we knew it would need to be repaired. We met with several surgeons and decided to go with Dr. Palumbo to perform Tommy John reconstruction surgery. What we appreciated about Dr. Palumbo is that he saw my son immediately, listened carefully to our questions and concerns, as well as provided the pros and cons for each of the options. He patiently, thoughtfully and thoroughly answered our numerous questions. The surgery was performed the following week. Follow up and rehab has gone very well and 11 months out, my son, while not at 100%, is already throwing at pre-injury velocity, with still more upside to come. He leaves for college this fall and is ready to get back to competitive pitching in the spring. Dr. Palumbo and his assistant Danielle were really fantastic through the whole process. We would recommend him wholeheartedly. My son had a complete tear of his UCL druing the summer after his junior year. In order to play baseball in college, we knew it would need to be repaired. Short answer: highly satisfied and have recommended to friends and colleagues. As for more detail info... I'm in my mid 40's and have visited Dr. Palumbo for many years, ie. wrist pain, shoulder, and fingers. Due to my prior active life style I had injured both of my shoulders with labrum tear(s) and was in pain 24/7. I talked to Dr. Palumbo regarding surgery, therapy and recovery time, and he laid out the time frames and expectations. I had surgery on one shoulder late 2020, and second surgery on the second shoulder about three months ago. I am now pain free, and meeting my recovery targets. Please note that the therapy is done right next door, so when things are not moving along well, Dr. Palumbo engages with the P.T. and provides recommendation and set expectation on recovery time. I couldn't be happier with the service and results from the surgeries. Dr. Palumbo, Danielle, front staff and P.T. make a great team. Dr. Palumbo and his team are professional, efficient and knowledgeable. My son broke both bones in his wrist and we weren't sure what to expect. He led us through the treatment and follow-up visits with calm and ease. I would recommend him to everyone needing an Orthopedic Specialist.
Refuse to treat victims of domestic violence because they don’t want to file paperwork
Was a good practice. Now the practice "sold out" to Oakbend and no longer accepts "medicare". Great disfunctional healthcare system and compensation focused practice. Disappointing

I’ve seen Doctor Palumbo twice and it has never been helpful to me. As a general observation: he seems to rush patients and does not demonstrate a lot of care during consultation. Find somebody who is as interested in getting you well as you are, because that person isn’t Dr. Palumbo.
Dr. Palumbo and his team saved me from loosing a finger. The professionalism and elite care I received was perfection. I highly recommend Dr. Palumbo.
Dr. Palumbo and his physical therapist Pam are the best. We interviewed and got 3 opinions from 3 different Othopedic surgeons for my daughter who fractured her fore arm during a bad fall from bars while doing gymnastics. We felt 100% comfortable with Dr. Palumbo. I myself am a Nurse Practitioner I was impressed with his knowledge and expertise. Surgery was a success and went smooth, the facility and staff are perfect. Physical therapy with Pam was wonderful she was able to get full range of motion back quickly and gain confidence and strength. My daughter has healed very well and will be back to her sport soon. Thank you so much Dr. Palumbo and Pam this experience was tough but when you have the best Sports medicine doctor and physical therapist it gives you peace. Update 2021: Our daughter unfortunately had another fall from bars a couple years later after her initial injury which we described above this time a more severe injury in which she dislocated both elbows, we did not know if she would be able to do gymnastics again. We were so thankful to have Dr. Palumbo whom we trust fully operate on both elbows. She rehabbed recovered wonderfully again and returned to gymnastics! This year 2021 we were able to see her achieve her dreams after everything at her level 8 Texas state championship where she won vault, floor and all around titles! We thank Dr. Palumbo, Danielle, Pam ( her wonderful physical therapist who also walked with us both recoveries) and staff for helping my daughter recover so well and achieve her dreams. Dr. Palumbo is very knowledgeable, with a kind bed side manner. We 100% recommend him and his staff! Thank you Dr. Palumbo!! Dr. Palumbo and his physical therapist Pam are the best. After much research and a recommendation from a friend who was speaking from experience, I went to see Dr. Palumbo for a rotator cuff injury. He performed the surgery and the results have been great. He takes the necessary time to answer questions and offer explanations at the post-op appointments. I am currently still doing physical therapy, and I am on schedule to make a full recovery. I have been seeing Dr. Palumbo since 2017. Thankfully, it's not very often because if I have to see him it's because I'm hurt. That is the ONLY reason I don't like to see him. A month ago I had to go back in; a badly broken arm. I ended up needing surgery even though I tried to talk Dr. P out of it. However, I trust him and knew if he was saying it was needed, it was. I had never been under general anesthesia before and was really scared. He was so kind when he spoke to me before the surgery. I'm on the road to recovery now and I know this was the right course of treatment. I have to give a shout out to his PA, Danielle, too. Thank you for all your kind and compassionate care. The entire experience at The Orthopedic Sports Clinic is excellent. Props to Carissa as well. From the minute you walk in to the time you check out, the encounter is as pleasant as can be. Thanks to all of you !!!!
I was denied healthcare after Covid-19 cases were found in America because I look Asian. The staff is racist and incompetent. The woman kept lying and changing her story such that I could not keep my appointment and had to leave. God saw everything you did to me and my children. Denying me healthcare will not protect you. There is no where you can hide. Your defense is gone.
My second finger operation was messed up it took 11 months to heal earlier I went back to be checked Palumbo took an x-ray and told me I had arthritis. It was a total false diagnosis he just blew me off told me to go see an arthritis doctor with no basis. Upon my second return as I was having problems and wanted him to check it again I had made an appointment and it was on site I was told after 30 years at the clinic they couldn't treat me anymore because I was 65 years old when I wanted Palumbo to look at my finger again. I was still working with full quality health benefits

Dr. Palumbo and his fantastic staff supported me through two wrist surgeries. Prior to meeting Dr. Palumbo, my wrist did not heal correctly from a bad break. I am a musician and this injury was devastating for me. After my first appointment with Dr. Palumbo and his staff, I was convinced that he was indeed a skillful doctor and I made the decision to put my wrist’s fate in his hands. Put simply, it was the right decision. My wrist is 100% better now. Thank you Dr. Palumbo and crew!

Saw Dr. Palumbo today and was very impressed with his practice. Ladies in reception were very professional as were his assistants. Office and waiting area is very clean and organized. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Dr. Palumbo was very attentive, thorough, and patient as I described my pain issues and concerns. He walked me through steps to my recovery and answered all my questions. I was in and out and wait in lobby and exam room was less than 5 minutes. I would recommend him- definitely
