Dr. Carlos A. Gonzales

I have an appointment for my son Taha Hussain on Dec 13th 2021 for Dr. Gonzales. My appointment time was 2:50 pm. I was there. But without any reason they kept me waiting for 2 and a half hours. My daughter was also with me so I made a request that if Dr. Has time can he see my daughter as well. As she is also the patient of houston eye associates. They told me okay and I pay fees on the counter. After waiting for 2 and a half hours Dr came into the room my both kids were sleeping. I asked Dr. Just give me a minute I will wake them . He asked me do you want me to do check up. He just look to my son and told me it was birthmark. He didn't even do the check up properly. And didn't look my daughter at all and told me to come after 6 months. He was in the room for 3 mins. When I come outside and ask their staff I need to talk to Dr. They told me he already left. I payed almost $500 for my both kids and this is the check up he done. I spoke to a lady Jill the patient experience manager and told her all things that happened in visit. I asked for refund as Dr didn't check up properly my kids. But they refused. This Dr is racist. I was wearing my traditional clothes on the time of appointment and he thinks that he can do whatever he likes and i will not raise my voice.

To day the least, this Dr. ?may be? a great specialist but he does not have people skills.

I am just done with a visit with this man I have never in my life been treated like I just did by a any kind of physician he doesn't even deserve to be called a pediatric ophthalmologist or any kind of title he has.... I walked in right away started talking to me like if I didn't care of my sons well being he didn't let me explain to him anything was very rude IN FRONT OF MY 6 YEAR OLD SON my poor son was sitting in the chair just terrified and scared of what was going on in the room he was so rude and left my son shaken up..... he should have his license taken away if he continues to treat people like he did to me he doesn't care very rude and unprofessional do your research people do not go to this doctor I am pretty sure he has done the same thing to so many other people I just can't say enough just a terrible man DO YOUR RESEARCH AND DON'T SEE THIS DOCTOR

Rude, inpatient, impersonal and not good with little ones. No consolation at end of visit to save the visit from ending on a bad note. Felt belittled and definitely no sympathy towards a first time parent. No attempts to make child comfortable or ease fears/tensions by doctor or staff upon leaving.

Unprofessional, Sarcastic and Rude. It’s sad to see what he has become. This is NOT the doctor i first met. Mr. Gonzales’ unprofessional attitude towards my son and myself today was enough to stay away for good. Driving 1hr 30min. For him to step in the room & belittle us by banging his fist on the table, raising his voice and saying ”I’m waiting, i’m waiting”...during my sons exam is ridiculous. He’s sitting in the chair telling you the letters he sees. YOU CAN WAIT MR. Gonzales. WE WAIT patiently for you. Even standing in the waiting area because there are no seats. Maybe he’s overbooked and overwhelmed. Still no excuse for his awful behavior. He sounded so ridiculous, like a drunk man all slouched in the chair rolling his eyes saying “I’m waiting...I’m waiting...”I’m still in shock. I never saw this coming, not from him.

The staff was great, the Dr. Was awful (which is usually the opposite). After dilating my son's eyes, he didn't even bother looking inside of them, just told me to patch one eye. We do not have cross eye, and on my question what would patching do for us, he told me " I just told you, patch it". No explanation whatsoever. But because I Do want to understand what is going on with my son's eyes, I asked again. But all he said " I am repeating myself to you, Patch It". Very rude and disrespectful

He is a great caring doctor. My son had eye surgery at the age of 3. He did everything to make us feel comfortable. At our first appointment after the surgery, he went out of the way to check on my son. I can tell that he genuinely loves what he does. His staff is also always very happy and welcoming.

I'm so disappointed I made an appointment the other day for Thursday and today I received a call exactly 2 hours before my appointment that Gonzales cannot see me beacase i don't have a good reason to visit him I don't recommend a doctor that need a moneymaker reason to be visited
