Super friendly staff! I was a walk in and was seen very quickly. Def recommend!

First time patient 10/13/21 I was very pleased with the service from the first time I contacted this establishment to set up my appointment the receptionist was very nice. She answered all my questions and even informed me of some benefits my insurance provided me with that i was not aware of. She definitely went above and beyond on ensuring I felt comfortable on choosing them as my provider. When I had my appointment i was seen emediatly. The technician was so nice and so friendly. He made me feel at ease since i was a bit nervous. Great people skills. Dr. West was amazing. From the second she walked in the door she was very welcoming. I've worn glasses almost my whole life and for the past 25 years no other Dr. Had payed this much attention yet alone informe me and educate me about my eye condition and situation. I felt like she genuinely cared about my wellbeing. She is a very knowledgeable Dr and all the staff is very attentive and welcoming. I unfortunately did not get my glasses there since they did not carry the name brand covered by my insurance but otherwise i was more than pleased with my experience i will definitely be setting up an appointment for my husband next. this will be the place i refer my family and friends to! I visited this office yesterday for the first time- recently relocated and needed to find a local eye doctor to have my prescription renewed. One of the front desk workers was rude upon my arrival about not wearing a mask (fully vaccinated and haven’t been wearing one since the CDC released guidance that I don’t need to.) I’m happy to put one on if a business is still requiring it, but expect to be asked in a professional manner vs having someone demand in an unfriendly tone. The tech who did my my assessments prior to seeing Dr West refused to let me opt out of having my pupils dilated, saying that I could reschedule or have them dilated today. Also handed me a pair of glasses to measure depth perception that had makeup caked on them. When I was brought to the exam room, another patients profile, photo, and information was still on a large monitor, which is a HIPPA violation. Dr West entered and introduced herself but not the other person she brought in with her. She talked a lot, didn’t ask me questions, and lectured me on why she had to dilate my pupils because she has “found tumors even in young people’s eyes”. While I appreciate her concern, I dislike the fact that I was not allowed to make my own decisions regarding my health and body. I’ve been visiting the eye dr for over half of my life and have never felt less regarded. Additionally, I was charged for a contact lens fitting for contacts I’ve already worn/have. In the end she wound up listening to me regarding my prescription and wrote me the correct one, however the entire experience was unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable. Dr. Caryn West was great as well as the other staff with the exception of the African American lady who worked up front was very rude to me although I was very kind to her. I won't be coming back here for sure.

Just too much of a long wait but service was good.

I had read the only other review on this site and was nervous to see Dr. West, but she took my insurance and didn't feel like I had a choice. I can tell you that simply asking what what your diagnosis means goes a long way. I asked about my astigmatism and the doctor and staff gave me a thorough explanation of how is part of your prescription just like nearsightedness and farsightedness. I did not have enough astigmatism to warrant it being part of my contacts, but i liked that they explained it anyways. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend her to anyone. Also, simply asking the questions you want while in the office goes a long way. I did not have any wait time for my visits and they were thorough.

CARYN WEST DIAGNOSED ME WITH A “ASTIGMATISM”. SHE SAID I NEEDED THE CONTACTS FOR THEM WHICH I KNEW I DID NOT. OF COURSE YOU COULDNT ARGUE WITH THE PEOPLE IN THIS OFFICE. I TOOK THE CONTACTS HOME WITH STIGMATISM PRESCRIPTION AND MY EYES WERE RED , PAINFUL AND I HAD TO THROW THE BOX AWAY AND GO OUT OF MY YEARLY CHECK UP WITH INSURANCE JUST TO GET THE RIGHT CONTACTS FOR MY EYES. THE ASTIGMATISM CONTACTS SHE GAVE ME WERE BLURRY THE MOMENT I PUT THEM IN MY EYES. SHE SAID THE BLURRINESS WOULD STOP AFTER I GET HOME. IT DID NOT STOP. SHE MAY NEED HER LICENSE TESTED AGAIN. YES I AM STILL MAD BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT REFUND ME MY 80 DOLLARS FOR MY CONTACTS. NOR THE 140 FOR THE EXAM. SHE COMPLETELY CAUSED ME PAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO THIS FACILITY.
