My dermatologist retired that I had seen since being a teenager. I googled Dr’s and wasn’t sure I would find one I would like as much. However, I sooooo liked her. Took the time to listen and explained everything to me. Is being so helpful to find the root cause of my rash.

Went in for hair loss. Bloodwork and previous medical history of immune system issues not acknowledged. Huge emphasis on female pattern balding despite me stating no one male or female in family ever had it- even for generations out. Claimed my natural hairline was receding or balding despite having this same hairline as a child which was evident in pictures. Very focused on medical textbook explanation and wouldn't acknowledge anything outside the box. Very dismissive of possible vitamin deficiencies or trauma from other chronic health issues. Just kept pushing the "alopecia". Didn't want to check any labs, just wanted to stamp it as balding and move along. Did not seem to want to admit she just didn't know, which I would have understood more so than pushing a diagnosis to fit a narrative. So bizarre. Would never return or recommend.

She is unprofessional knows text book stuff don’t go to her with any rare problem. She will diagnose what she doesn’t know. She almost stabbed her nurse because she couldn’t shut up about herself it was a strange visit I would not take my dog for her to bath.

Hears what she wants. Doesn't listen. Misdiagnosed. Should have done my research first.

I loved Dr. Vlastaris and her staff. Dr. V was thorough, professional and big on education. She has a great bedside manner and a good sense of humor, which I appreciated! So glad I found her! Staff was amazing as well!

Do not recommend if you have real skin issues. Battling eczema for years and had to switch doctors due to insurance change (big mistake). I wish I would have stayed at UH. This woman saw me for 5 mins. The medication she prescribed me was denied by my insurance (not her fault). Then when speaking with her nurse (very rude by the way) they wanted me to try a topical that would cost 200 dollars out of pocket for a 2 once tube. When I called to request another precription (preferred something oral due to how sever my eczema is) and since she doesnt like to write prescriptions for oral medications she sent me to someone else. She didnt even notify me, I recieved a call days later after calling her office with no response from the new provider she referred me to. It was a waste of time to even see her because now I have to wait until the end of the month to see another provider to help me out with my flare up. Do yourself a favor and find another provider. At Dr Vlastaris recommendations, I had 18 suspicious moles/freckles/spots removed. Turns out only 3 where pre-cancerous and only 1 needed additional treatment. I was referred to a plastic surgeon to have additional removal of the pre-cancerous spot, the referred doctor did not received not any documentation on the location on my back and was relying on me. The location was on back. Unfornately, I do not have eyes in the back of my head. Dr. Vlastaris also could not provide the location. I had no idea and the referred doctor had no idea as to the location of the spot that need further attention. So in the end, the spot never received any additional removal. I now believe I know the spot due to irritation and redness. Looking for a new doctor to examine it. She was super nice, but I felt like she may have took advantage by recommending so many biopsy and felt betrayed by her lack of professionalism. Knowledgeable, reassuring, patient. Very thorough explanations. Very pleasant visit.

Dr. Vlastaris is very knowledgeable, thorough, and attentive. Diagnosis/treatment has been perfect. She is a true medical professional with a great sense of humor. Very highly recommend.

First time with this doctor. Had my annual exam/skin check and it was nothing like I typically have had with my previous doc. She barely looked at anything - nothing from my waist down! She also suggested I have plastic surgery or face lift which I found insulting and inappropriate. She used liquid nitrogen on a tiny spot on my face and didn't even offer me glasses to shield my eyes. Also left me sitting uncovered while her nurse sat and looked on which was terrible. Stressed from this visit.

Odd that receptionist and assistant to the doctor is the same. You might wait awhile before you see a person at the window. Limited hours.
