Dr Gibellato took my complaints very seriously, and came up with a treatment plan for me. He is very easy to talk to

I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. GIBELLATO MD. ANYTIME AND TO ANYONE. HE IS VERY THROUGH IN HIS EXAMINATION. HE TAKES XRAYS TO HELP HIM. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO HIM SENSE 2012. I HAVE MOVED FROM RICHMOND TO RICE, VA BUT STILL DRIVE OVER AN HOUR TO SEE HIM AND SOMETIMES WAIT A LITTLE LONGER THAN MOST TO SEE HIM. BUT IF HE IS TAKING TIME WITH A SICK PATIENT ONE DAY IT MIGHT BE ME. I GET PAIN SHOTS IN MY BACK WHERE I HAVE A ROD AND IN MY NECK WHERE I HAVE A PLATE. HE IS A GOD SEND TO ME AND I THANK HIM.

Dr. G is just awesome. He seems to care about what I care about. I'll do another updated review in a week or so when I see how this procedure does

I have been a patient of Dr G for some years. Excellent patient manner, informative, listen and graciously allows patent input in the decision making process for your better health. Even for those times he’s running behind schedule he never hesitates to apologize for the delay. Outstanding! Thoroughly competent Pain Management physician. Has treated my damaged stenosis, spondylitis, scoliosis and degenerative disk and nerve damage for 6 years and has kept me from having surgery all this time!

I had heard such good reviews about him, however I was very disappointed. He seemed very rushed and like he couldn't or didn't want to talk to me about the procedure. I was given no information for afterwards, as far precautionary measures. I was getting epidural injections for spinal stenosis and my anxiety was through the roof. Not one soul in the office did anything to try and alleviate my fears. No explanation of the procedure was given. I'm not sure I'll be returning.

24 hours after my kyphoplasty I have less pain than I've had in almost two months. I couldn't believe it. Thank you!

Dr G. has been my physician since 2005. He has always explained everything concerning my condition with me. He always ask me during the injections “Am I hurting you.” He is so gentle. With my back pain, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, and fibromyalgia, it is hard sometimes to figure out where I hurt the most (because pain is all over my body. Dr G. always know what to ask. I can’t find a better doctor. I thank God for him. I would recommend my friends and anybody looking for a pain management doctor.

Dr. Gibellato seemed nice at first however when I decided to schedule an injection I had a very different experience. When I talked to his assistant to schedule the injection I asked her if I needed an appointment to discuss the injection, she advised me I did not. As I had a question about the targeted area of injection his assistant advised me to discuss on the day of the procedure. On the day of the procedure he yelled at me after I asked him my question and told me that “ we’re not here to have fun” and that if I wanted to discuss the procedure I should make an appointment and come to his office. I don’t think this was just “a bad day” for him as this was 8 in the morning. I was also concerned about him because he never did an exam either time I saw him in his office but he certainly charted a head to toe exam in my online chart.

Best at helping ease your pain

Dr Gibellato is among the very best orthopedic diagnosticians. He is thorough in presenting his diagnosis, and thorough in presenting any treatment options. His integrity is tops. He will never overtreat or over prescribe. He is an absolute expert in performing pain mediation treatment. If you don’t need treatment, he will explain why you don’t; if you need treatment from a different discipline, he will offer his recommendations. I highly recommend Dr Gibellato, without reservation.

Dr G is wonderful. He is an active listener. He gives you all your options. I received injections in my back. Completely removed the pain and tingling in my legs.

Dr. Gibellato listened to my concerns and answered in great detail the realities of the procedure he was about to perform. During the procedure, he explained each step and was very careful to ensure my comfort, often asking if I was alright and offering to pause if the procedure was causing pain. When it was finished, he inquired about my status and prescribed medication in case I had after-procedure pain. He acted professionally in every way and showed that he really cared about me as a person as well as a patient.

Dr. G. is great. I received an injection in my back. I am out of pain with no tingling in my leg. I just received hip injections. Dr. G took so much time with me. He listened to me and gave me options. I highly recommend him.

After seeing many many specialists in the Richmond area for pain management, I found Dr. Gibellato. He is highly intelligent, thorough, caring, and he takes the time necessary to properly perform procedures. He took the proper time with my difficult procedure, and he refused to rush when presented with my difficult case. He has been my pain management doctor for my spinal condition for years now, and he will continue to be!

I have been seeing Dr. Gibellato for several years now after previously seeing another doctor in Richmond for the same reasons. Dr G. is by far the best pain management doctor that anyone could expect to have. He an excellent listener and keeps excellent notes regarding previous visits and complete history. Dr. Gibellato excels in treating back and neck problems. He has given me several epidural with much success in alleviating my back pain that my previous doctor did not do. I have recommended Dr. Gibellato to several people, some that I didn't even know. For any kind of pain, I think you should make an appointment with Dr. G.

This was my first hip cortisone shot and could not have gone any smoother. The procedure was fully explained from start to after care. Dr G as they call him, made me feel relaxed and was his main focus. I may be rare, but he told me that the discomfort in my hips should return somewhat later that day after the pain reducing portion of the shot wore off. Well, it’s 24 hours and I feel fantastic with only a slight discomfort in certain positions.

I have been a patient of Dr G's since he started with Ortho VA. I was also a patient when he was with another group, so we go back a few years. He listen, he explains and he works hard to help me as much as his knowledge and experience can. I absolutely appreciate him and would refer any of my friends should they need someone with his expertise.

Dr G was always patient and listened to me at my appointment. I had his un divided attention he wasn't looking at a screen and talking to me. He was very professional and through.
