The office staff was very caring and friendly. The Nurse Practitioner was great. Dr. Klodell was very caring and explained my upcoming surgery wuth great detail.

My husband just had aortic valve replacement performed by Dr. Klodell. We had to wait quite some time in the office for our appointment, but it was worth it. Dr. Klodell took the necessary time to explain the why’s and what’s of the procedure. The day of the surgery, we saw Dr. Klodell and the anesthesiologist, and it was reassuring. My husband sailed through the procedure of and was home the next day. You would never know he had undergone TAVR. Amazing!

My husband had a 3 min phone call with Dr Klodell. He had an appointment to meet with him a week later prior to mitraclip procedure; his staff called saying that Dr Klodell wanted to cancel that in-person appointment since he had already spoken with us. We were assured Dr Klodell would meet with us prior to the procedure. That never happened. He was in a small group of physicians who came to the pre-op area. He did not take time to meet us. We never met Dr Klodell in the hospital as the next day was a Saturday. One of his associates stopped in. My husband went into cardiac arrest & did not survive attempts at resuscitation, less than 36 hrs after discharge. I called Dr Klodell’s office the next day to voice concerns. I live in Crystal River, FL. Going to Gainesville to see Dr Klodell was not a issue for me, to be seen by specialist. Drs office is very welcoming and the Dr and staff are exceptional. I would recommend anyone to this practice.

Two years ago in August I had my second open heart surgery. Dr. Klodell and his team preformed my surgery. They did an amazing job and I am blessed to say I feel better than I did before my heart started giving me issues. The new valves and root they gave me saved my life. I am grateful for the care they provided during that time and the two years that have followed. If I have questions or concerns they are always there to help and answer my questions at a level unlike any other office. This is the place to go if you have heart problems. Front office staff, nurses, PA, and Dr Klodell are so efficient and kind. Truly cares for their patients.

Saw Dr Klodell today. He really listens to patients. The office staff are exceptional, very respectful, friendly and attentive to patients needs.

Dr Klodell is one of the most professional and competent doctors I have seen. He is forthright, explains needed procedures well, and has a great reputation in this region of the US. He is the go to doctor, in my opinion for cardiac surgery. His staff Felicia, Catherine, Brittany, Brooklyn, Monica and Lauren make you feel welcome, are extremely helpful and caring as well as being more than competent. I had aortic transplant, coronary transplant, valve seat and valve replacement and I am thankful that I will be around more than a year or so now. Great work by the North Florida Heart and Lung Institute.

The Dr. reverified the referring Dr's testing and documentation. I am reasonably comfortable going into surgery. The proof will be in the pudding.

Starting over the 5 years that I have been seeing Dr Klodell, I am extremely satisfied. Starting with his staff, they are upbeat, smiling, helpful and professional. The offices are immaculate and organized as indicated by how the staff takes care of business and patients. Dr Klodell has been helpful, informative, truthful, and patient not only in his explanations but what I should be doing to help my condition. I Give Dr Klodell and Staff 6 STARS and many thanks! As another said above, "It was obvious hospital employees in other departments were extremely fond of him. " This was also indicative of the staff in his office.

Because of Dr. Klodell's extreme medical, analytical and technical abilities, he immediately spoke with me on the seriousness of my 4.7 cm aortic aneurysm that had given me NO signs of being there since my last heart checkup in March of 2018. He told me what was necessary to take care of my aneurysm understandably, clearly and distinctly so that I could make a decision right at that moment. I immediately knew I needed the surgery, and we proceeded from there, and here I am today, saved by his expertise and experience, and thru his great attitude he made me feel he would fix everything. He's great, his personality is great, and I'm glad I have a chance to thank him here, and recommend him to anyone I know and others I don't know. Pat Egger

Dr. Klodell and his staff are just excellent.

I have only had one appointment with Dr. Klodell to discuss my heart problems and upcoming surgery. He was very thorough with his explanation of what needed to be done. He patiently answered all of my questions.

It is 10 1/2 years since Dr. Klodell replaced my aortic valve with a bioprosthesis and did 1 bypass. Just had my echocardiogram and it is functioning perfectly. I had moved and my new cardiologist was amazed

Dr. Klodell and his staff are incredible, amazing, and caregivers with a capital C. When my cardiologist recommended Dr. Klodell, I asked him if he would want him to be the one operating on his own mother. He responded, “ I would want him operating on my mother, my wife or any family member.”Dr. Klodell ‘s staff guided me through this challenging time. I am now healed, active and enjoy a second chance with my mended heart.

Dr. Klodell was so highly recommended , I traveled from the Tampa area.. Not only is he a wonderful. surgeon , he has a phenomenal staff who appear devoted to him and his patients. He and his staff created a comforting atmosphere during a stressful time. They scheduled and clustered tests & procedures to accommodate my travel time. I felt as though I was their only patient. It was obvious hospital employees in other departments were extremely fond of him .

Dr Klodell performed open heart surgery on me in January 2017. He is an exceptional surgeon with excellent surgical and patient care credentials. Dr. Klodell replaced my aortic valve and did quadruple bypass surgery at the same time. The operation was 100% successful and I was able to return to playing golf 3 times per week within 8 weeks of the surgery. Dr Klodell is an excellent heart surgeon and has a dedicated surgical support team that works with him. My thanks to the entire team.

Never realized how extensive my surgery was going to be. My doctors that I saw after the valve replacement and valve repair have all had the same thing to say "Klodell saved your life." I will be forever grateful to him. He is the greatest.....
