Dr. Charles Paul Shenker

It is unfortunate that i have to leave such a bad review without being able to meet this Dr. Without getting into much details about the situation, a woman BARKED AT ME on the phone who is your Dr!? To which i replied i am a new patient for Dr. Shenker. she says Dr. Shenker is not taking in any new patients, he's Semi retired. I proceeded to explain that on my insurance it stated otherwise to which she replied: it doesn't matter, the Dr. decides if he is taking new patients or not. This is by far the least amount of compassion, ethics and professionalism i have ever experienced in under 30 seconds. To whomever answered the phone please keep your personal problems out of the workplace or perhaps you too should retire or pick another career where the aforementioned characteristics are not required. Dr. Shenker has been my doctor for about 30 years !! He is the best in the business !! His examinations are very thorough and his advice is extraordinary !! When I had to be hospitalized twice, he came by to check on me and give the okay that I was healthy enough to go home. (Plus he organized and gave instructions to the ER people when I first arrived.) When I had a really bad fall, he set up an MRI and Xrays for my knee. When I had recurring bouts with vertigo, I saw him and I believe we have solved the causes. At my recent one year big exam, he also (besides the normal blood test) had more blood taken to check my PSA level (which can indicate prostate cancer) and we set up a colonoscopy exam (to check for colon cancer). AN OUTSTANDING PHYSICIAN AND PRACTICE My wife Carolyn and I have been fortunate enough to have Dr. Shenker as our primary physician for 15 years. We owe him, and everyone in his practice, our excellent health today and the great gift of 15 years of peace of mind that we were always receiving the best care. We'll always be grateful for his unfailing compassion, professionalism, warmth and good humor. He always performed beyond the call of duty for us 24/7 whether our issue was a real emergency or just concern over a false alarm, and his personal attention to detail speaks volumes about his dedication. In fact, he literally saved my father's life when he visited us with an immediate after-hours diagnosis and hospital treatment, and he wasn't even Dr. Shenker's patient! Our thanks to Cookie, his Practice Manager, her sister Joannie, and everyone else on his staff who have been so kind and responsive to our needs. We've been very lucky to have you all these years!
