Cheryl A Manning

We've been with Dr. Manning for over 9 years now and we love her. We moved to Athens over 5 years ago and drive out of our way to see her. Yes, that is how competent and amazing of a doctor she is. The staff is awesome and you can tell they love kids and are great with them. Dr. Manning knows her stuff, she is pretty much able to diagnose the kids even before she tests them, oh yes, she actually tests her patients to verify what they have. She helped get my two oldest diagnosed with ASD even though the psychiatrist seeing my eldest at the time insisted it was just ADHD and not ASD and ADHD. I will warn you that there is almost always a wait to visit, but she is worth the wait. We've been with Dr. Manning for over 9 years now and we love her. Excellent Doctor! She is very thorough! I wouldn't take my children to anyone else! With four children I have seen many doctors and Dr. Cheryl Manning is the best! I highly recommend her!

Good doctor but you better have some time on your hands. sometimes I think they forget about us. like today I've been here with my sick son for and hour and 30 mins and still haven't been seen. and it's like this everytime. She's not in the for very long so idk what takes her so long

For all the people saying she doesn't take your feelings into consideration can take that thought and shove it up your chute. She cares more about the sick kids than anyone and is telling you how it is and what you NEED to hear, not just what you WANT to hear.

Not a ped I'd ever trust my children with. Doesn't take the parents feelings into consideration. Works for her pocket, not to help people

Ive been bringing my babies here for about 2 years and in the beginning we had no issues. If I scheduled a time we were in within 10 minutes. Lately we've been there at least an hour and a half, for a checkup. Today was it for us. My 12 month old had a checkup: we were in the first waiting room for 55 minutes and what I like to call the next waiting room for 20 minutes before I walked out. With the drive, I wasted 2 hours out of my day, not to mention I left with a very fussy baby, and we didn't even get anything accomplished. I am a working mother and have a lot going on, just like everyone else. If a doctor repeatedly does not respect my time, she must not value my patronage. I really appreciate the care she gives my children. I always feel heard and she follows up on all concerns and is very thorough. Her staff is very sweet as well!

Dr Manning is exceptional! Sometimes we are in and out and other times we wait, but we wait because she gives your child the attention and care they deserve and some visits need more depth....and she gives that! Just lost 2 patients...I am having my children's records transferred elsewhere

Dr. Manning is nice but some of her are very rude, her nurse in particular. She has no patience what so ever! We moved from NC to GA and my sons daycare said he was missing some shots which was weird to me because we were told he was always up to date, and when Dr Manning's nurse switched over his immunization form from TX to GA she NEVER told me he was due for shots. When I tried to calmly explain to her that this was my first time hearing about him being past due on shots she starts yelling at me over the phone. At first I thought she was talking to someone in her office but when I realized it was me I hung up because I knew it would've got ugly from that point. Never had any less than excellent service. Love Dr. Manning, she is prompt, professional and straight forward. She actually spends her time with each patient. Her staff has always been great and never a time where there has been any issues. She will always be my kid's doctor. Thank you for being such an amazing Doctor.

i had a very bad experience with the staff at this location, doctor manning asked me to pick up a cup to collect stool form my 3 month old due to some diary issues to send to the lab from the front office but i forgot on my way out, when i went back to the office at a later day to get one i was told i needed to schedule another appointment for my daughter to be seen before i could get a cup, i explained that nothing had changed in my daughter since her last appointment for better or worse and that i just wanted the cup and they refused to give it to me. Well they lost a patient today. This morning we went in to get immunizations for my daughters and then added an appointment because one of my girls is sick. Well they tried to tell me that we had a recheck for my other daughter, but I told them we never talked about it and that the doctor said we were all clear the last time we were seen. So at first she took it off and we only paid the copay for my sick daughter. Then while the doctor was there she mentioned it and I said that we didn't need to check because she said it was healed, so she said "well let's just look at it since you are already here." Then when we went to checkout the lady said that she did need the copay for the other girl since the doctor did look at her. But it has me so frustrated because it should have never been in the books as a recheck for her. We shouldn't have had to pay for something that the doctor just wanted to check up on while we were there for something else. :/ And then Dr. Manning also kept telling me I made mistakes for consoling my daughter while she was crying and for letting them sleep in the bed with us. Lindsey with the front office staff was very nice to me..

I couldn't recommend Dr.Manning enough. After my son was born, we had a lot of concerns about his health. Over 3 months, it took us 4 office visits with multiple different diagnoses to his previous pediatrician and a trip to the ER before I decided to get a second opinion. I called to explain what was going on with him and they were able to see my son that day, as a new patient. Dr.Manning called and made sure he would be able to see a specialist the next day. My son had surgery a month later and has been doing great since. She always speaks to you in a way that you can understand, her staff is extremely nice, and we have never had to wait long. Dr. Manning and her staff are great! Our kids always enjoy their visits with her. She answers all of our questions and always takes the appropriate time for evaluations. She also works with parents to find the best possible solutions.

Doctor and staff are always wonderful, pleasant, extremely helpful and reassuring, and always spend an adequate amount of time with us. Our visits never feel rushed, and we always leave with all our questions answered.
