Dr. Cheryl Belmont Waldman

Stay away! She misdiagnosed me, similar to another patient's complaint. She found a mole, and said it was melanoma, but another dermatologist found no suspicious mole. She said another spot was nothing, but a second dermatologist biopsied the spot and diagnosed a squamous cell. Dr. Waldman biopsied nothing during my visit. I was supposed to make another appointment with her husband for a consultation before anything would be biopsied or removed... So I would have needed two more appointments months apart before receiving any treatment. She's churning patients. Frightening experience. And, she has no bedside manner. Go elsewhere!

I saw her 2 years ago. She came in with another woman who was - a student? She spoke to her only. After maybe 3 min of a very cursory exam, she turned to leave and I called her back. She had not even checked all of me - and I have lots of moles, etc - and I had 2 spots I needed removed, so she zapped them quickly, then left. She did not ask me any questions.

Dr Waldman has treated me with courtesy and expertise. She carefully examines lesions that are suspicious and does not treat benign lesions unnecessarily. She is caring and professional. I have recommended her to my family members and friends. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes and her staff is friendly and warm.

I waited over an hour in her office to be seen at my regular appt. She could not even spend 5 minutes with me.

I am quite certain that Dr. Waldman was having me under go unnecessary surgical procedures. I began to become suspicious when she was recommending that moles be removed that look to my untrained eyes to be perfectly benign. I went for a second opinion at another dermatologist, who found nothing unusual about those moles. To think of the money I have unnecessary spent at this practice, and the physical scars I have from what may have been unnecessary surgeries makes me quite distraught.
