The nurses and Dr. Salerno keep up to date on my health. Dr. Salerno lets me know how I'm doing with my health. Thank you Dr. Salerno and staff for everything you have done for me and as you continue to monitor my situation.

My brother was admitted with damage to his heart and our family was very scared until we met Dr. Salerno who put our minds at ease. Dr. Salerno treated my brother, not just as a patient, but as a person and factored in all aspects of his life. The surgery went exceptionally well and my brother is now healing. Dr. Salerno saved my life when my worsening heart failure reached a critical point. His skill as a surgeon is second to none yet he maintains an approachable personality. He and the rest of the team at St. Vincent work so well together. You can sense the respect the staff has for Dr. Salerno. I would recommend Dr. Salerno to anyone who is dealing with serious heart issues that can be remedied via heart transplantation or a heart assist device. Dr. Salerno is great, he listens to questions and concerns. And explains everything. And uses language us layman's understand. He did a CABG times 3 on me last year.
