Dr. Curtis Ryan Wheatley

Dr. Wheatley fixed my miserable sit pain with a great spinal adjustment and stretches and switching from ice to moist heat. He was excellent. I had never met him before but he was recommended by a local. I was able to continue my 2019 road trip from Austin to Lawrence, Kansas. Thank God for Dr. Wheatley!

Recently my husband, our dog, and I were traveling from Texas to various important events in Kansas. First stop was Columbus. I made the first event okay, but the lower back pain I had been dealing with since before the road trip suddenly got much worse. It was looking like I might not be able to continue traveling, and I was starting to lose hope, when I heard that there was a doctor just a couple blocks away who was both a chiropractor and acupuncturist. Since I frequently go to chiropractors and acupuncturists, I decided to give him a try. Dr. Curtis Wheatley saw me right away, consulted with my Austin chiropractor by phone, and did a brief spinal adjustment that put things back in the proper place, without any pain. He also spent time educating me about how the body works, and showed me several helpful stretches to do daily (which I continue to do). He said that since I had spent three days using ice packs, now it was time to switch to moist heat. His suggestion was to fill up a pair of tube socks with rice grains, tie them off, and microwave them until warm. Within a few hours I was experiencing great relief and was able to go on to Manhattan and Lawrence, then back to Texas. Dr. Wheatley is engaging and caring, and his rates are very reasonable. I would highly recommend him to anyone in your area. He is truly a treasure! I would also like to give a shout-out to Laura Lowry-Greene, the proprietor of Maple Uncommon, a guest house and art gallery, where we stayed. Laura was a fantastic host who went the extra mile in every way, making us instantly feel like part of a family. Our quarters were spacious, private, pet-friendly, and very comfortable. Dr. Wheatley is the best Chiropractor I've ever had. Well worth the drive from Webb City, Mo.
