I'm a brand new patient. All, truly ALL staff are incredibly welcoming, warm and comforting. I'm so pleased to have found Dr. Combs and his team. Just what I needed.

Excellent service. I go to Hemet Office. Chris Sanders treated me extremely well. All the staff are excellent. I give the medical assistants an A+ for their knowledge. They are part of the good team as well.

Always a good experience. Office staff is friendly and polite. Dr. Barnard is very thorough and has a great persona. I am 66 years old, and this is the best doctor's office I have ever been to.

This group of professionals are far and a away the most kind most blessed group of medical professionals I’ve ever experienced. Dr Maggie is so kind and caring how can those character traits not rub off on the nurses. . I’m so blessed to have met these wonderful people and as long as I’m alive these are the hands I’ll trust my life with !!!!!

They unlawfully require you to wear a mask or they won’t service you. I canceled my apt and changed doctors immediately. New doctors office doesn’t require muzzling up. Even the lab corp I went to a couple weeks ago allows you to make a choice.

Dr Maggie is well informed and takes her time to explain details and makes sure you get the help you need.

I saw Dr. Maggie again today, and like all of my other appointments, I left knowing that the doctor was on top of everything concerning my health. Maggie, and all the other physicians are outstanding. The medical assistants are equally great. The best thing I ever did was switch from my former doctor, over to Dr. Combs.

The office is absolutely amazing. Everyone that works there is very professional and they take care of their patients. Dr Maggie is a great doctor. I have no negatives what so ever. Keep up the good job. Dr Combs you should be very proud of your crew.

Outstanding doctors office in the Temecula Valley area. ALWAYS a pleasant experience. Typically called in at your appointment time and the support staff is excellent, pleasant and very knowledgeable. I personally see Dr. Maggie who is terrific. Can't say enough praise about her. Never rushed and the best "bedside manner" I've experienced EVER! I also want to acknowledge their new P.A., Dr. McFadden, who will be a great addition to their office staff and very thorough in his exam and discussions.

Went for a physical today and it was next to nothing. "Chris"checked eyes,breathing,mouth and legs then he was about to leave so I asked what about prostate exam. He said it's done by blood test and left and didn't schedule nothing. This was next to nothing. Dr. Combs why do you hire people like this? I had scheduled with you and got this. No hernia exam either. If your exams are like this it's a waste of time going for this.

The care we have received has been good, but deducting two stars because they will not ever, and I mean never, answer their phones. Scheduling an appointment is a mine field, and such an incredibly frustrating experience. They also cancelled an appointment last minute because of a doctor’s sudden unavailability, and the earliest they would offer us a replacement appointment was over two weeks later! And this was for something urgent! Strongly considering switching PCPs.

Best family doctor ever.

Recently got diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 4 and changed my PCP to Dr. Combs. Although I am a fairly new patient here, I gotta say I made the right decision switcing over. Dr. Combs and his staff have been extremely helpful since day one. They're always in a great mood and have answered so many questions that have put me at ease. Also, I've been needing to have many days off at work due to the numerous labs and doctor appointments and my work has been wanting proof that I've been taking time off due to my illness. TVFP have taken the time to sign, print, and email any forms my work needed making it easy and stress free. Definitely recommend. Dr.Combs takes time to explaining your conditions with you and finds the way for you to understand what’s going on with your body. He has the best bedside manner I have ever seen in any doctor. Makes you welcomed. Great job Dr. Combs and staff.

I've been a patient at Dr. Combs for years. This office actually treat most of my family. Until recently I was very satisfied with the care I've received. Although I haven't personally seen Dr. Combs in a few years himself but his PA's were great and Dr.Vincent (no longer there) . Now, due to COVID they'll no longer see you if you're actually sick. They will refer you to Urgent Care or the ER for care. I don't pay all this money for insurance to be brushed off and sent to the ER for ongoing treatment or followup care. Pretty much a body mill. Walked in and realized there was a room full of PA's etc and one doctor. Not my idea of a solid biz model for the patient. Great money maker for the doctor. Sat down and watched for a few minutes, then got up and ran for the door.

Myself and my mom had a physical appointment today with Dr Combs, and I just have to say, I was over the top impressed with the thoroughness of the entire staff here at Doctor Combs office!!! My mom could not hear anything for years….and Doctor Combs cleared up her ears in minutes! She’s now able to hear again instantly. So thankful to him for doing this for her today. The doctor in training was also wonderful and all the medical assistants were just as awesome! I highly highly recommend Doctor Combs office. I’m very pleased that they just don’t push you through but thoroughly check you over which I was very impressed with! Everyone I met here was really nice and they let me have the appointment still even thoe I was late cause I got turned around a lil driving there for my first time and the docters were awsome as welll made it easy for me especially since my body is goin though some tough things right now ever since my accident but definitely would recommend them to anyone thanks

Dr. Combs and his staff are top notch in my opinion. They always are thorough, and take as much time as necessary to address your concerns. If you need a primary care physician, this is where you want to go.

Dr Combs told me in an office visit that he himself has not been vaccinated for Covid 19. Really? and offered no explanation for his decision. He also thinks he had Covid but apparently does not think that antibody testing is worthwhile. His office is overloaded and yet he is looking for more new patients. Not a place I can recommend.

My husband and I have been going to this office for years and we don’t have a single complaint! Every time I talk to someone on the phone anything I need to gets handled in a timely manner! I had previously posted an unfavorable rating of 1 star along with a detailed description of my bad experience specifically with the front desk. As a potential new patient, I had no previous experience with Dr. Combs or his staff. Within 1 hour of my unfavorable review being posted, I received a telephone call (not a text, not an email) but a personal phone call from a Medical Assistant known simply as “Z” to sincerely apologize for the incident and to give them a 2nd chance. Everyone deserves a second chance and “Z” had the guts to pick up the phone and ask for a second chance. She asked if I could come back in the afternoon and I said OK. After checking in at the front desk, “Z” met with me and after apologizing several times took my vital signs, family history, medications currently on, etc She was professional, detailed, caring and attentive. When Dr. Combs walked in he also immediately apologized for the incident and he was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining several treatment options for me. All in all, I think I have found a very good doctor. As a sales professional, I realize that I am ultra sensitive about the customer experience. Things can go wrong in any business, it happens all the time. What truly matters is how the business responds after learning about it. I've been a patient at this practice since I moved here from Orange County in 2012 and my neighbor referred me to Dr. Combs. My first visits were with Dr. Combs and I found him to be very professional and then one time he wasn't available and I had Doctor Maggie and she has been my doctor ever since. She is like the box of chocolates where you weren't expecting it but you get your favorite one in the Box! I wish she was my daughter! I want to go home with her! Or take her home with me... she makes me feel so comfortable. She is so loving and caring, that you know she will do anything she can to help you with your problems. I have also had occasions where I needed help with my Medicare and found Stephanie Lyons to be extremely knowledgeable on this subject and very helpful and very willing to follow up for me as is Mark the manager who does a very good job and has helped me out several times in his capacity also. One of the professionals who answers the phone named Teresa, used to work in the main Temecula office but in the last 6 months or so has transferred to the Hemet office and I miss her very much. She is someone who I knew I could leave a message with and she would be sure it would get to the designated recipient and she is a pure joy to talk to. She was one of the people who would call as soon as lab results were in and I find they do an excellent job in providing you with your results as soon as they are available. The staff does everything to keep things moving along and your chart gets updated so when Maggie comes in you can get right to your concerns. If Dr. Combs is unavailable, I have seen Nurse Practitioner Maggie, whom is also fantastic. Melissa, is one of his staff members, who is so valuable to his practice. The women that call from the office are very nice and make your first visit go very smooth and the doctor is very personable and outgoing makes you feel comfortable.

I was very satisfied with Dr Combs. The assistant who took all my Information was excellent. She explained to me very detailed. The time was very long. Also I was confused when another doctor came. I was expecting Dr Combs to come. This doctor talked to me and made me feel uncomfortable. Then Dr came back again and asked me if I had any questions and I said no. My husband and I became new patients today. We thought it would be a long day. When we arrived we were greeted and only after a few minutes wait were taken back. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable and the process of getting our prior history was very smooth. From the exam to renewal of medications it was a positive experience. We were a little anxious taking on a new Dr. but when we finished our appointments we were very pleased and knew we would be in good hands with Dr. Combs and his staff.

I saw Curtis Combs as a new patient after moving to Temecula. On my first visit to meet him he changed my blood pressure medication. The pharmacist who filled my prescription told me to be sure to watch my blood pressure because abruptly changing could cause a stroke or other medical incident. I contacted Dr. Comb’s office and was told just take the new medication. I later passed out in my backyard. I incurred a fractured orbital socket, broken arm and brain bleed. These are just highlights. I’m afraid to treat in the Temecula area. I have not found a doctor in the area who is rated over 3 stars. I drive to Orange County for treatment. I have been a patient of this medical office for 8+ years. I prefer to be seen by Maggie Bernard, NP., although when she is not available never have I been disappointed. She has always been very friendly, professional and attentive to my medical concerns and overall health management. She listens patiently and always makes sure I understand any changes in my health and/or medications. Never have I felt rushed, I sometimes feel guilty for my questions being to lengthy! Follow up is bad, long wait times mostly in the Hemet Office very rarely answer their phones you have to leave a message. They need to stop the commercials and take care of the patients they have. I used to love going to him. Now I’m looking for a new doc.

Been a patient here for a number of years. Have always been treated professionally and with lots of TLC by the doctors and support staff. At times when an immediate appointment was needed, I've always been accommodated. The medical professional I see most often is Maggie Bernard, a Family Nurse Practitioner. Recently I had severe congestion, cough, and didn't feel well at all. Maggie followed up with me weekly until my condition returned to normal. She's a dynamo when it comes to treating patients with respect and dignity while providing lots of TLC. Dr. Combs is well respected in the medical community. When asked by other medical offices, who my primary care physician is, the response is always, "he's one of the best." It was a very bad experience at this office for my African American mother.

MY APPOINTMENT WAS TODAY JANUARY 28/21 @ 1,30 PM .I CALLED THEM @2.00 PM TO MAKE SURE ABOUT MY APPOINTMENT,AND THE ANSWERED WAS YES...AND THEY ASKED ME TO STAY NEAR MY PHONE BECAUSE THE DOCTOR WILL GIVE ME A CALL @ ANYTIME, UPON COMPLETION FROM HIS PATIENT.NOW IT'S 7.00 PM AND NO ONE DID CALL...

This doctor is terrible and cruel. I went in with a very painful infection in my face from a tooth. My face had begun swelling and the pain was getting worse by the hour. I desperately needed antibiotics. I was unable to get in to my dentist for 5 days, however had a appointment with Dr. Vincent to fill out a medical release form for all of the dental work I need done. He helped with the dental release form, but REFUSED to prescribe antibiotics. He offered me Tramadol opiates which I DID NOT NEED. I needed antibiotics immediately. I refused the pain medication and literally begged him in tears to give me antibiotics. He treated me like a druggie for needing antibiotics for a serious infection! Absolutely refused to give the antibiotics. I left his office, called my dentist and asked for advice. They told me to go to the nearest emergency room. The emergency doctor took one look at my swollen face and inside my mouth and prescribed antibiotics. I will never go back to this cruel doctor again. This doctor is terrible and cruel. Dr combs is the worst dr I have seen in a very long time. He is so full of himself! My first visit, he talked about himself the whole time! Did not worry about me at all. It was like a car salesman selling himself. Each time I’ve talked to him on phone or in office, I can’t get a word in, he is so boastful

Lately, their reception has not been doing a good job. The phone rings off the hook—with no hold music, no response, nothing—for 30 seconds to two minutes. If you’re lucky: when/if someone answers, they abruptly pick up the phone and finally tell you to hold. Then you can wait there for another 30 seconds to five minutes. If you’re not lucky: they pick up the phone and hang up on you. Today, they cancelled/rescheduled a telephone appointment without telling me, so I waited for their call for 20 minutes before calling the office, getting hung up on twice, being told to hold because there was “someone ahead of me” on my third try—and only to find out it had been randomly cancelled. Fortunately the girl who answered was polite after I told her what was going on. Otherwise all of it was SO unprofessional. Some of their best staff members have left lately, and now I can see why. I expect a doctor’s office to be leagues better than this. Someone at the reception desk needs to either be let go or at least retrained and their answering system needs to be greatly improved. However, since this review is for the whole office and not just the reception: the service the actual PAs, NPs and MDs provide there is very decent. They’re good at their jobs, thorough and friendly. But since it’s imperative to get through the gatekeepers in order to get to the healthcare providers, it gets one star. Lately, their reception has not been doing a good job. New and current patience please beware of this office. First off, I understand COVID has put extra strain on the medical field. I fully acknowledge this and I believe I've been patient with the changes (ie: mask, temperature check, social distancing ect.). My issues started when Dr. Combs office mishandled my prescription. My doctor would verbally tell me to take "x" mg of a prescription and when I would pick up the prescription at the pharmacy, the prescription would have different dosages and direction. This is important due to my current health condition. This was my first red flag. Later, during a visit, I brought up concerns about the treatment they suggested and asked if we could increase the dosage of medicine. The doctor would verbally tell me to double the dosage and I followed his directions. My medicine would run out faster and I'd ask his office to adjust the recommended dosage and prescription. They would not update my prescription with the new dosage. Keep in mind, I'm not taking any pain medication or any medication that may lead to addiction. I also expressed concern about my blood pressure. The medicine they prescribed was not doing the job. Even after I drastically changed my diet to a healthier one and added several days of exercising. I was told the doctor said to keep on taking my medicine and my blood pressure levels remained high. The final straw came when my pharmacy could not get a prescription approved by my insurance. My pharmacy called my doctors office to ask for a different kind of medicine to treat me. I too called the office and they never got back to my pharmacy leaving me without the medication I needed. I addressed my concerns with my insurance company and told them how they were mishandling my treatment. I was able to switch to a different doctor and they are treating better so far. Today I received two letters from their office stating that they cannot continue to treat me because I am not following my doctors orders on treatment. I was surprised by this since I have been showing improvement, my prescriptions have been filled and refilled (this should indicate that I am taking my medicine) and I have gone to all of my appointments as scheduled. How can a doctor say or imply that I am not following his orders? My doctor has NEVER addressed any kind of concerns or mentioned to me that I am not following his instructions. These letters seem petty, a final "FU" for switching doctors I guess. Please be careful with if you decide to use this facility. Insist that they take notes backing what they tell you during your visit. Make sure everything is documented for your own protection. Please be careful. During these times we all need to make sure we are healthy. The last thing we need is a doctors office mishandling our treatment. New and current patience please beware of this office. STAY AWAY! Disappointed is an understatement and I feel violated of my rights. Who knew in this time Doctors would be allowed to deny you a service because of political and or religious beliefs. When I found I was pregnant with an unwanted pregnancy I immediately made an appointment with my family care physician so I can verify and discuss options. At my appointment they confirmed my pregnancy and when the actual doctor came in the room he asked me if it was correct I wanted termination. I said yes and he explained to me that they don’t perform the procedure but didn’t go into detail I just figured I would need a refferel to an OB or clinic. Once he left I was informed by another doctor or nurse who was the only helpful person there that she recommended I visit a nearby clinic since it’s time sensitive and that there OB was backed up as it is. I could tell she was frustrated there weren’t more options for me. I asked her if I would need a referral and she stated no and that it was probably my best option. Immediately when I left I made an appointment with the clinic. From there things get so much worse. The clinic calls me because they in fact do need a referral. So I contact my family care doctor and speak to Tracy who was very nice but mentioned that since they were out of network that I would need to call my insurance for the authorization. So I call my insurance and they tell me no it’s the responsibility of the family care physician to send out referrals but she was nice and called them on my behalf. I got put on hold and I when I spoke with her again I was SHOCKED. She told me the reason they would not give me a referral was because Stephanie the referral manager said it was against their beliefs to terminate. I mean that right there knocked the wind out me. Here I am, already in a position where I feel emotionally vulnerable and they hit me with that. I was literally given the run around during a sensitive issue as they projected their beliefs on to me by refusing to give an authorization. I’m FURIOUS. Believe in what you want but don’t project your beliefs onto others making it very hard for someone like me to receive the service I CHOOSE what is best for me. This was a time sensitive issue and I bet they knew as a tactic that if someone made it harder to provide information and services that I would be unable to get the services I wanted in a timely manner & I would have to keep the pregnancy. From the start there was NEVER clear communication about what my options were. Disgusting behavior and they showed no remorse. I’m done forever with this facility. If you’re wise you will too. My initial experience with Dr. Combs facility was positive, even to the point of referring 5 people to his practice. Unfortunately myself and all those I referred have since moved to other primary doctors. Here are some of the reasons. Dr. Combs operation is OK for annual checkups and minor cuts and bruises. Otherwise you will be referred out to a specialist for everything else. Its called a "referral mill". On several occasions the doctor reffered had less than desirable healthgrade ratings. If you challenge the selection that is a no,no. If you question the medical staff on the level of service or their recommendations, that is a no, no. The office managers get "triggered" if you ask why they are not following up on promises made. One of my referral patients went fro 156 t0 100 pounds under their care. He slipped through cracks of inadequate care. He now has a doctor who is proactive and now weighs 150. Another issue is Dr. Combs runs a medical scribing school in his practice. I wouldn't give them a one. I was auto assigned to this medical group because my provider is no longer with HealthNet. Everything looks as though doctor Combs MD will see you but you see a nurse practitioner named Maggie or another physician's assistant who doesn't provide any medical care in 6 months. 3 months to get a referral. I made an appointment to be seen IN OFFICE for symptoms I've been experiencing intermittently for over a year that have progressively worsened. The office is well aware that I am a healthcare worker and when I got to my appointment they turned me away for these symptoms and because of the line of work I'm in. I was told that I'd recieve a phone call from the doctor instead (after I drove 30 min one way to be seen IN OFFICE). What that told me is that healthcare doesn't take care of its own....those of us on the frontlines. I have never been more appalled in my life. Up until this point I was very happy with the practice. Now I will be looking elsewhere to find a doctor that will address my symptoms and not treat me like I have the plague. Very disappointing. Healthcare workers, prepare yourselves. My favorite doctor, Dr. W. Vincent left the Temecula office recently. I will be looking for a new office now.

I wanted to give a higher rating but I just couldn’t at this time. I am a new patient and needed to review my lab results with the doctor today (Dr Barnard). I had a Telemed appt and I had to call after waiting 25 mins for my appt. The receptionist was shocked and looked into it immediately and was told they were very busy and behind and someone would be calling me soon to get me into triage. Fifteen minutes later someone called me and took all prelim questions (most questions we’re COVID related, which I couldn’t understand because this was a Telemed appt, not an office visit) and then he said the dr would be with me in a few minutes. After waiting another forty minutes I called and canceled my appt because my husband who has cancer had an appt that I needed to help him with. I started to attend to his meeting and the dr finally called. She is really sweet but no one should ever have to wait two hours for a telemed appt. Patients time is just as valuable as doctors time. I don’t think this was Maggie’s fault, but I think it could have been better handled by not taking on so many new patients. I wanted to give a higher rating but I just couldn’t at this time. I have been a patient with DR Combs for 6 years now and have always felt that I received great treatment. I am not happy with the recent shift to telemedicine. I have requested an in person appointment and was told that due to covid the doctor is not seeing patients. Waiting on a new in person appointment with my provider.
