Dale has treated me for over 10 years and I've come to think of him as a friend and care provider. He's a marvelous doctor. I still see him even though I moved over an hour plus away from his office.

January 25, 2023 was my 1st official visit to Dr. Schaefer’s office. 100 % recommend! Friendly staff, Clean inviting waiting room, I was thoroughly pleased. Dr. Schaefer’s assistant, I do apologize for not remembering your name at this time was Wonderful, Professional and very Knowledgeable. She listened took notes and made me feel welcomed. Dr. Schaefer was very kind, thoughtful, thorough in his diagnosis of my condition. He was very patient, taking the time to hear my concerns and previous experience. With that he was able to use his expertise and knowledge to come up with a treatment plan and follow up schedule. Wonderful experience, keep up the GREAT WORK!

I've been a patient of Dr. Schaefer's for years. He has removed skin lesions caused by growing up in Florida, made sure my whole-body skin is not causing me problems, and has removed skin tags and other growths that aren't dangerous but are unsightly. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to make sure all of your questions are answered. He often has a medical student accompany him to exams (which I welcome), assuring that the next generation of dermatologists has the benefit of his many years of experience.

Dr. Schaefer has always been the consummate professional, providing excellent care, detailed information regarding skin care, and high-quality and effective intervention. I highly recommend him and his staff for your skin care needs.

As always, I was met with a friendly and knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Schaefer has been my dermatologist for about 20 yrs. He always takes his time and is thorough, and makes sure he has addressed all my concerns or questions.

There’s a reason there’s usually a Med student, PA or Nurse Practioner student, etc with Dr Schafer. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough with his examinations. He spends about 15-20 minutes examining all your skin surfaces and explaining what he finds. I’ve even had other local dermatologists tell me he is the best there is!

Dr. Schaefer is outstanding. Runs pretty much on time, but never makes you feel rushed. I appreciate having him as my dermatologist.

Perfect everything

Always a very satisfactiry appt. Overall body check....treated one spot on left cheek Much discussion over my concern for rapid thinning of my hair, red spots on scalp. Gave Rx w/ Blink Pharmacy, and advised products for daily shampoo treatment with return in 6 wks. With so much time spent on hair problem, I neglected to have 2 irritated spots @ neckline and shoulder checked out. At next appt., will do so.

He is such a wonderful doctor. He is very knowledgeable in his field and I always leave there with a smile. He is very encouraging and tells me ways to improve my condition.

I have been seeing doctor Schaefer since the late 90’s. I drive from Waco for my check ups and should give you idea of how much I appreciate him. I also consider him a good friend that has watched out for me and my skin problems. You cannot find a finer doctor and friend. You will be well served picking Doctor Schaefer for all of your care.

Excellent doctor and service. The only negative is appointment times mean nothing. It took them almost an hour past my time to get to me. Five star doctor.

Dr. Schaefer does a visual scan of my skin at least once a year. He is very knowledgeable and takes care of all pre-cancerous issues before they become problems.

I really appreciate that Dr. Schaefer took time to re-examine a lesion that he had seen for several years but that had changed since my previous visit. He did a biopsy and it turned out to be a benign dermatofibroma. I'm glad to have his reassurance!

Dr Schaefer is always very thorough. I also like that he often has a medical student shadowing him. It’s good to see he’s passing on his wealth of knowledge.

Dr. Schaffer checked and removed several growths in a nearly painless procedure. Dr. Schaffer always has something to talk about, and it makes the visit entertaining. I go once per year.

Very efficient without feeling rushed--did not volunteer a lot on information but was very responsive when I asked questions. Friendly staff also efficient. Excellent treatment provider.

Always a long wait even with an appointment. Then he is rushed to catch up So after 10 years as patients my wife and I moved to another dermatogy practice. Lucky we did. The new doctor discovered a basil cell carcinoma on my wife that Schaefer had missed. After MOHS surgery she is now doing well.

Dr Scahefer is a fantastic Dermatologist. Always personable and very knowledgeable. I have been seeing him for 10+ years. I went through a difficult skin condition and he called me on his day off to check and see how I was doing. All better now!

Dr. Schaefer is terrific. Their office is another story. You have to pay up front, even though they have your insurance information and have made the call (in my case $160 which is an entire month of electricity or a few tanks of gas). I put on credit card. Was told I would get a refund which I knew I would since insurance had already met my deductible. This was 07/10. Insurance settled on July 18. Yes, they owe me the full amount, as expected. Gave them a month to send. Nothing. Called on 08/12. They said it would be rushed. Meanwhile, I paid my credit card. Called again 08/27. They haven't paid yet but see it's in the works. Then told me I had to call the corporate office located in Lufkin to make sure. I guess this is another way to pass the buck. They offer to transfer the call, but many of them are dropped. Great outsourcing billing! I called Lufkin. After 11 minutes of being on hold, was told check would be mailed on 08/29. So, if you use this office, expect to have a delay in any refund. Thinking they probably cater to mostly high end patients who do not live in struggling times. Neither local nor corporate office seemed to really show any empathy. Lost me as a client. Hope to get my refund sometime in September. Dr. Schaefer is terrific. Their office is another story. Great doctor. Thorough and efficient. The wait time was too long (30 min in a cold exam room), but when he finally came in he was finished with what I needed in a good ten minutes. I choose this place because of the high star reviews on google and I wasn’t let down. Thank you Dr Schaefer.

Dr. Schaefer is absolutely the best. He knows exactly what to do in each instance. You will not be sorry in the selection of Dr. Shaefer for any of your dermatological needs. He is also very good at conducting services with the minimum of pain, which is always important. I really don't know what I would do without being his patient, but I'm sure it would cause a good deal of depression on my end. I'm happy to write this review, because he deserves it!
