15 minutes after my appointment time. Empty waiting room. No information whatsoever on why the delay. Total disrespect for your time.

Incredibly happy with my visit to Dr. Chu. I recently had a septoplasty by another ENT. I thought I was having some structural issues with my septum post-op and I was being dismissed by my surgeon that performed the surgery; so I came to Dr. Chu for a second opinion. Dr. Chu provided a very detailed explanation as to what was going on and why. He was so kind and knowledgeable and put me at ease. What a cool guy. I was extremely pleased with Dr. Chu. He was very professional, friendly, a wealth of knowledge and experience and great insight----all qualities that I look for in a doctor. He was able to pinpoint my health issue and I now have a clearer pathway to treatment. Thank you!

Dr. Chu was friendly and answered all my questions, however that is about all the good I can say about this place. I explicitly asked how much my appointment would cost with my specific insurance plan, I was told it would be $100 and I would have to pay it at the time of the appointment. I arrived 5 mins early and had to wait almost an hour to see the doctor because a procedure ran late. I only saw him for 15 mins and was told my consistent ear infections are “normal”, I paid my $100 and left. Weeks later I get a bill saying I owe even more money, the lady on the phone talks in circles to me about how the amount owed varies by insurance, yes I understand this but asked upfront for the cost. Don’t come here unless you want to wait a long time to be seen and pay a ridiculous amount for it. Dr. Lawrence is a great very friendly and professional Dr. The nurses at the lobby on the contrary are not nice at all. I had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment to get in and one of the nurses was very rude, not apologetic at all and very argumentative.

I have great experience with Dr. Chu’s clinic. The staff is very friendly, easy to make reservations, and more importantly, Dr. Chu helps my issue immediately with very reasonable price! I highly recommend Dr. Chu.

Very helpful. Very informative and clear about the whole process. Great bedside manner, answered all questions. Had surgery for a broken nose. I am new to Austin and it got broken during the move! Dr. Chu was recommended by my close friend's dad who is a primary care doctor in the area! Other reviews mentioned new office staff that were slow. There was a young lady, she was very friendly and wasnt slow so if its the same lady she has learned!! We were all new at some point! Also, I only waited for maybe 5 minutes to be seen after checking in. And some one mention $400 for the visit. I just have student health care and my copay was only $40 total. So not sure what happened with their insurance. I have bluecross blueshield ppo. Insurance can be so confusing and frustrating but I asked and checked that before I went and they were happy to check for me before the visit just to be safe. My brother-in-law is still paying off a ER bill 3yrs later and he had insurance so if you are not sure def call and check, I get it! Very helpful. Very informative and clear about the whole process. Hands down the best Doctor experience I’ve had since moving to Austin a year ago. I came off the strength of these Google Map reviews and they didn’t lie. Dr. Chu was very attentive to my needs, took the time to explain to me all the possibilities as to why my ears were acting the way they were, and mad some great recommendations for preventative care. If you ever need to see an ENT in Austin, he is your guy. Very comprehensive. The other members of his practice were also very pleasant. My daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed by Dr. Chu. Our appointment was on time and his office staff friendly. The surgery was amazing and my child was talking the same day! She had very little pain. Dr. Chu is very nice and my daughter liked him so much she wants to be an ENT. I highly recommend him.

That was probably the most positive experience I've ever had with a doctor. I liked the online scheduling and the ability to fill out the forms online as well. I barely had any wait. Dr. Chu took his time to make sure all my questions were answered. He explained things in a way that was easy to understand, yet he was still very thorough and detailed. He went out of his way to find the right treatment plan for me. He helped me with navigating insurance and to be sure I wasn't being overcharged for prescriptions. He's extremely friendly. All in all, he feels like what a doctor should be, focusing on the needs of his patient first and foremost. It's hard to put into words all the reasons that I would highly recommend Dr. Chu. Front office is lacking, now to the new girl. I have to keep repeating myself over and over, i believe she needs a hearing test. What i used to be on the phone for 2 min to make a appointment i feel like im on the phone for 10 min now!!Please show her the routine, and also when we came in she took a long time to attends us.

I had an appointment at 1:45 pm, I was there at 1:35 pm to fill some document ahead of time. Dr. was very friendly and helpful. Although I only saw him for less than 10 minutes after waiting for 3 hrs of my time to see him because he was running late from a procedure. They charged my insurance $400 for 10 min of his time. I talked to a girl on the phone and she told me the differences between a MD and a PA. As a Nurse I am pretty sure I know what the differences are between those two. I wish I knew the prices before seeing this specialist. I’m actually got the fourth sore throat in less then 4 moths, but apparently that is normal and everything is fine. So the $400 didn’t really help! Dr. was very friendly and helpful. I first needed an ENT about a year ago, and Dr. Chu’s name came up. I didn’t select him at first because he didn’t have as many reviews as the other person. I have had the opportunity since then to have appointments with Dr. Chu and I can say he deserves 5 stars. I want to add to his reviews for people like myself who are unsure. He is knowledgeable and kind. When I am in his office he always smiles and says things to comfort me. He reminds me of nice doctors I had when I was a kid. I had my daughter's hearing tested here a little over a year ago, and Dr. Chu and his audiologist told me that my daughter passed her audiogram and that her hearing was good in both ears. I informed Dr. Chu that the hearing evaluation was because of my concerns with my daughter's speech delay, and based on his report we started speech therapy. We saw very little progress with my daughter's speech to the point where I had her enrolled in the early preschool program and had her speech sessions increased to 3X a week. With all of this intervention for over a year, I knew there had to be something else going on, so I took my daughter to another ENT specialist who diagnosed my daughter with severe hearing loss in both ears, which explains her speech delay and all of the concerns I've had. We have lost over a year of effective intervention based on Dr. Chu's initial report. My daughter is increasingly behind her peers academically and is still not conversational. I would not recommend this office, but I would recommend that every parent get multiple opinions. Both my daughter and I have had great experiences with Dr. Chu. Not only did he take care of our immediate issues, he is great at explaining confusing events that occur in medicine and setting proper expectations for medical procedures.

He is an amazing doctor. I do not like seeing doctors, because I do feel comfortable around them but he made me feel very comfortable. I am glad he was able to help me with my awful ear pain. My experience as a patient, student of, and employed by doctors, Dr Chu is outstanding. His understanding of rare disease is impressive. He is gifted when interacting with his patients. I would recommend Dr Chu to any family or friend.

I'm going to make this short. Dr. Chu is amazing with the most down to earth bed side manner. The necessity to see a Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist came suddenly and not knowing anyone in Austin, I relied on reviews. Boy did I nail this one and grateful to be able to get in to see him and for him to be in Austin. Thanks doc!!!

Was assured on the phone the appointment would only take 30-45min because i had obligations afterwards and after 30 min of waiting past my appointment i just left. If someone makes an appointment at 11 it means 11 not 11:30. Very unprofessional.

Dr.Chu is amazing !! He is a fantastic doctor I get the exact day I request when scheduling appointments he is super nice and polite and the staff is nice as well. The doctors office is clean very well kept .

Dr. Chu is a great physician - he is polite and friendly, and he truly cares about his patients. He is very thorough in his exam, reviewing history and imaging in great detail, going beyond just the obvious areas of complaint. He is not looking just to fix the symptoms but tries to find the underlying cause as well, which regrettably is not something every doctor does. If needed, he will not hesitate to refer to a different specialist and even though his specialty is surgery, he is not quick to recommend it before non-invasive options are exhausted. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what is wrong, what can help, and what other options are available out there - in detail and in an understandable, non-rushed way. I couldn't ask for better care and feel lucky that I was referred to Dr. Chu because prior to him I saw several physicians for the same problem who just gave me bagfuls of meds "to try and fix it" without caring to find what "it" was that they were trying to fix, with the only result being side effects from the meds. My experience with Dr. Chu was excellent. He was funny, compassionate and most of all, smart. He took his time with me. He gave me what I needed to know to get healthy, and really knows his stuff! I would highly recommend him.

Great service. Very punctual, I never have to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen. Have been a patient for years and have never had any issues.

I took my mother to see Dr. Chu yesterday. She is 82 and seemed to have lost her hearing quite drastically during the past 3 weeks. Dr. Chu was outstanding in terms of his knowledge, skill, and inter-personal dealings, and timeliness. He took the time to clean my mother's ear, had the tests done to see the overall hearing, suggested both a short and long term strategy in terms of hearing aids, etc. And finally the cost was absolutely reasonable (since my mother did not have any insurance). My family now have an ENT specialist! I took my mother to see Dr. Chu yesterday. She is 82 and seemed to have lost her hearing quite drastically during the past 3 weeks. My experience here was great. My ear was clogged with a giant piece of wax, which Dr Chu quickly and carefully removed. He was friendly and nice, and made me feel at home. Everything went smoothly, and I was in and out in less than an hour. I will certainly return for any other ENT needs i have in the future.

We set up an appointment for my boyfriend to have his ENT looked at due to his irregular sleeping/breathing habbits at night. Dr. Chu did not beat around the bush, he was straight forward, didn't prescribe anything extra, he told it like it is. Was a great visit and the outcome has been good. My boyfriend can now hear better after the removal of a chunk of built up of ear wax that he'd kept pushing back with a q-tip.
