Doctor does not get about his patients, just getting in and out and being rude. Office staff is very lazy they made me call for LOA when i called i was told "the doctors office is supposed to call for this NOT the patient." Due to this incident and the doctor being ignorant and his staff I did not want to see him the second time. Stay away if you want a good doctor do your research.

Dr. La came very highly recommended by a friend. I have seldom been so disappointed with a doctor as I was with Dr. La. All he did was spend an hour getting mad at me for refusing Covid vaccination. He looked down at my symptoms and past medical history for all of 2 seconds, and told me it looked age related. I had to say to him twice "how could it be age related when my problems started when I was 16 years old." Then he finally ordered some lab work. He never called me back about the lab work. After many weeks I finally called him and was basically told to make another appointment. I absolutely will not be doing that and do not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. La is kind, patient and most importantly effective. He was able to take my pain from arthritis which was debilitating and make it bearable. I will be forever grateful to him for never giving up and finding the right solution that fits me.

Do not go here! When I called to make an appointment they gave me a time two months out and we’re given my insurance information. Two months later they called to remind me of my appointment and took my insurance information again. When I arrived at the office, after filing out the lengthy new patient forms, I was told they do not accept my insurance! They accept Health Net which I have, BUT NOT IF IT’S THROUGH Covered California!! I had checked before I made the appointment and they were in Network. They acknowledged that they know that they are, but choose not to accept Covered California patients!! I told them I waited two months to come see a doctor, instead they could offer me only two words “I’m sorry”! Had I known I would have had two months to make another appointment with someone else! “ I’m sorry it’s at the Doctor’s discretion to not accept covered California patients” was all I got. Now after two months of waiting, I have to get another referral, make another appointment and wait again to see someone else. This is clearly a reflection of the care they give people. Dr. La is very caring, listens to concerns and formulates a treatment plan based on his expertise and Your limitations or concerns. He invites you to call if things aren’t going well. He has a pleasant and calm disposition. My doctor highly recommended him and a co-worked also highly recommended him. I travel a long way to see him.

I am at high risk of fracture. My gynecologist referred me to doctor La. I called for an appointment. The person asked me to fill out some paperwork and send it via email which I did, no news. I called they said they did not received it and I insisted that I sent twice, she checked and confirmed that she received it. After a week no news. Very bad manner to taking care of the need of new patients. They can do an advertisement that they refuse new patients!!! Very disappointing from someone in medical field!!! Rude and bad staff ! Dr. Dan La & Dr. Ng are the finest doctors I’ve had the privilege of being seen by. I’ve reached a comfort level I previously thought unattainable. The staff is gracious and accommodating. I’ve been going here for years.

I have been with Dr. La for over 5 years now since he diagnosed my Rheumatoid Arthritis. While sometimes the staff is difficult to reach, I have found them to be responsive and strong patient advocates. There are not many RA doctors locally and I recommend Dr. La and his staff. The front desk ladies are very nice and the MAs are skilled and professional. Dr. La is thorough and caring. I am very grateful for their services. I was diagnosed with a slipped disc in my L5 S1 in 2013 recently the pain has gotten much worse and I believe is affecting my knees so my primary physician referred me to this rheumatologist who then referred me for x-rays mind you his office is in Tujunga and I reside in Pacoima however for some reason the facility he referred me 2 was located in Downey (being the closest) and 6 other locations from El Monte to Chino when I went in for the follow-up visit he just wanted to talk about my psoriasis and how he's going to put me on medication I thought he was referring to painkillers for my back which I had already told him I did not want that Tylenol and ibuprofen would be fine however he wanted to put me on otezla for my psoriasis which I had already talked to my dermatologist about he didn't care to go over the X-rays with me and what could be done about my slipped disc and what possible nerve damage it could be creating the misalignment of the vertebrae the curvature of my spine or my knee pain I did not go to him for Dermatological reasons I understand that psoriatic arthritis is something to be concerned about but that is not why I visited this doctor and he could care less about my concern and why I was visiting him when asked what to do about my spine he told me I would have to visit a spine specialist although I do believe that rheumatologist are supposed to be familiar with treatment of slipped discs so I asked if he makes that referral and he said no that I would have to get my primary care physician to refer me to the proper doctor so basically going to him was a complete waste of time I was diagnosed with a slipped disc in my L5 S1 in 2013 recently the pain has gotten much worse and I believe is affecting my knees so my primary physician referred me to this rheumatologist who then referred me for x-rays mind you his … More

Love Dr. La ... literally saved my life. Outstanding doctor, we are lucky to have him!

I am impressed with the doctor as well as the staff. I am a very nervous patient , but they treated me with nothing but kindness and compassion.

Very hard to reach the staff. I called several times but Anoush and Linette kept putting me on hold. Also very hard to get an appointment even with insurance pre authorization.

I have called multiple times and no one answers the phone. I have left voice messages with my phone number but no one calls me back. I have been waiting over a month just for them to call me back. Luckily 911 works in case of emergencies. Do not expect to reach anyone from this office because you will die before they get back to you.

This review is for the administrative office. My surgent referred me to see Dr.La after an orthopedic surgery. I called to make an appointment, they asked for my insurance ID, I got an appointment in 2 month. I called at least 3 times more to see if somebody cancelled as I was in pain. Finally after 2 month I came to see Dr.La, filled out all the papers in the office only to discover Dr.La does not take my insurance (PPO Blue Shield)! All this time waisted! Although he is a good doctor, the front desk staff are not up to par. And he is too overwhelmed, I was told there is an over 8 week wait to come in and see him, although I not feeling well and asked for an emergency appointment. Do NOT go to this doctor!

He may be a competent doctor, but he does not have a good bedside manner. I found him to be rude and arrogant. Even worse, I think he takes on new patients, when he does not have time to handle their medical problems. In the legal profession, that would be an ethical violation. It should be an ethical violation in the medical profession, as well. I went to see Dr LA about 6 months ago, on the recommendation of my primary care physican. My regular doctor had done routine blood work and was concerned about the lab results on one of the tests. So he sent me to Dr LA, thinking that Dr LA could resolve the issue. Dr LA told me that he needed me to re-take one of the blood tests. So he wrote a prescription for that test. He also said he needed the results of my vitamine D count from the prior lab test. He had trouble reading the lab report. The report was not legible. He then told me that I would have to call the lab to get the results of my vitimine D count, and then get back to his office with the results. He said the practice of medicine has changed, and that he did not have time to make the phone call to the lab. That he was too busy. I was beyond taken aback. Dr LA had no problem billing my insurance company and agreeing to take me on as a patient. Yet, he did not have time to make a routine phone call to the lab? I told Dr LA that it was his responsibility to contact the lab, not mine. That he has a large staff. That I am a lay person when it comes to medicine, and that I did not think it was appropriate for him to tell me to make that phone call. I also told him that I am just as busy as he is. A few days later, someone from his office called and said she inquired about my vitimine D. Though she did not leave her name. When I called the office back, they could not put me in touch with the person who had left me the message. They were not sure who she was. So, to this day, I don't know what the findings were on my Vitamine D. Dr LA has also ordered another blood test. I followed his, the doctor's, orders and promtptly took the blood test. No one from his office ever got back to me with the results. After three weeks of waiting, I finally called his office to get the results of my blood test. When Dr LA called me back, I wanted to be certain that I understood what he had said. So I asked him a few questions. He became visably annoyed. He told me he was in a hurry, that he did not have time to talk, and that he had already answered the question. He was beyond rude. He also seemed unconcerned about my well being. A few days later, my primary care physician contacted me. He said he ran into Dr LA and that Dr LA had explained the results of my lab test to him. So I learned about the results from another doctor. Not from Dr LA. As stated above, I believe it is an ethical violation to take on patients whom one does not have the time to properly treat. While Dr LA admitted that he did not have time for me, he had no problem billing my insurance company. To date, he has had the audacity to continue sending me invoices for my co pay. If Dr LA insists that I owe him a co pay, then he is going to have to sit through a peer review. Before I tender the co pay, I want to know what his colleagues have to say about the way he conducted himself. He may be a competent doctor, but he does not have a good bedside manner. Dr. La is one of these hard to find physicians who are not only knowledgeable but also extremely caring. I suffer from a couple of autoimmune conditions and Dr. La has been a blessing to have as my rheumatologist. Not only does he help me manage my conditions, but when I got really sick and had to be admitted to the hospital, he came in every day to check on my condition and worked tirelessly with other physicians to get me back on me feet. I give Dr. La the highest recommendation possible.

Dr. La and his associate Jessica St. Jules are outstanding. They are both very knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend either one of them in the practice. Wait times

Office is chaotic and frustrating. Oftentimes, can't get through and are told to leave a voicemail. Requests left on the voicemail will not be addressed. Othertimes, are put on hold and then disconnected. Sometimes are dealt with in a dismissive manner. I was bringing my disabled wife in for an appointment but was told not until a prescribed procedure had been performed. She ran out of a pain medicine. When called for a refill, was told not until he sees her again in a month. Withdrawals
