Dr. Daniel Ab Methuselah

Dr. Methuselah is the best. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Methuselah for at least 5 years. I had lapiplasty and hammertoe surgery with him in the fall of 2022. Dr. Methuselah was honest with me regarding the recovery time. He and his staff took time with me and are very professional. I never felt like a number with Dr. Methuselah. I had no pain after the surgeries and I’m very happy with the results.

On 11/9/22, Dr. Methuselah did lapiplasty surgery on my left bunion. It is now 2/1/23 and I have been released from medical care and I'm back in tennis shoes, doing light treadmill and stationary biking at the gym. He did a beautiful job on my foot. The staff is wonderful. Thank you Dr. Methuselah and staff, I'll see all of you at the end of the year to fix my right foot. Have a great summer and thanks again! Noelle Redd

I had an amazing experience with Dr Methuselah’s office! They took great care of me before, during and after my bunionectomy. Today was graduation day for me, and I had a well informed exit. Dr. Methuselah did an amazing job. He performed a tarsal tunnel release with a nerve decompression procedure on my left foot in December 2021. This was a tedious, long surgery requiring meticulous skill and patience. He is a very talented physician and surgeon that is in the right profession. He made sure that all of my questions were answered and felt comfortable about the surgery being performed. He has an amazing staff too. Prior to my surgery, I had all paperwork, medication and medical equipment prescriptions in hand. The staff was able to make me aware of what payment I would be responsible for prior to the procedure. Everything was in place so that once I left the hospital, there were no additional stops or surprises to face. My post op appointment was in place prior to the procedure as well. He was just as attentive post-op. I am 3 months out and I am doing incredibly well. I would highly recommend Dr. Methuselah. He is very knowledgeable, kind and personable. I had bunion/lapiplasty surgery in November 2021. Everything was great from first visit to final visit. Dr. Methuselah is professional, friendly and answers all of your questions. Surgery went great and I followed all of his post operative instructions. Recovery has been successful with no pain or discomfort by following his detailed instructions. I have been to Dr. Methuselah for a couple of different foot issues. Most recently, I had foot surgery in December. He was very thorough to explain what I needed to do for recovery. This man is full of pride. He did my husband foot surgery and it did not work. We went back to him for assistance and he was not empathetic and refused to give better medication. My husband foot was swollen, hurting, and in bad shape. Doctor Methuselah got a attitude when we asked ?'s as to why his foot was not getting better. We spent thousands of dollars on the surgery, orthotics, and medicine because of this joker. We had to go a specialist to fix the surgery he did. Don't go here!! This man is full of pride. I have been a patient under Dr. Methuselah's care for more than 20 years. All my surgical and non surgical treatment has been at the very top of excellent care. He is the utmost expert at what he does and I have had outcomes that was actually beyond my expectation. Over the years I have referred many many others to his practice and they have had the same experience, including my spouse. He is attentive, reassuring, detailed in explanations, and meticulous in his rendering of care as well as being super knowledgeable and willing to teach the patient how to take care of foot health. I myself am a Nurse Practitioner and after my first foot surgery around '97 I knew that I would not let anyone else take care of my foot problems other than Dr. Methuselah. I have had a problem with callous on middle toe on left foot for over 4 years. I have been to 3 podiatrist in Florida and each one would scrape it off and within a week it was back again. While visiting my grandson in Chapin, S.C., the pain was unbearable and I found Dr. Mathusala Thank goodness !!!! I went to him and in 2 minutes he knew exactly what the problem was. He scheduled a procedure (toe was crooked causing it not to lay flat causing callous to form ) I am totally pain free and it is Wonderful !!!!!!! Thank you Dr. Mathusala you are great. Dr. Methuselah has performed two procedures on me, one on each foot to correct bone spurs. I can't recommend him enough. The staff at his office is also incredible. I never felt overwhelmed with info either, just enough to get me to the next visit/exam which was exactly what I needed. I'm thankful for his skill and humor.

I recently explored surgical options for a lifelong foot issue and found Dr. Methuselah while researching the procedure. I chose Dr. Methuselah because of his reputation and experience, even though his office is 90 minutes away from my home! I was not disappointed in my choice! I found Dr. Methuselah to be competent, confident, and personable. He answered all of my questions, explained the procedure in a manner I could understand, and did not pressure me to make a decision. He was just the best surgeon! He explained the recovery process and what I could expect and it was right on target with my healing. Dr. Methuselah is a warm caring doctor who immediately puts you at ease. I have been a patient of his for almost ten years. Being a teacher, I am on my feet almost all day, and had developed some issues due to a high arch and instep. Orthotics worked great for a while and then I moved on to cortisone shots. Even when he was giving the shots, he was reassuring me the whole time. Due to the aforementioned conditions, I developed bone spurs on my insteps. PAINFUL! I had surgery on my left foot in the summer of 2020 and then on the right foot this last summer. It takes some time to recover, but it's night and day for me to walk and stand. Being overweight surely didn't/doesn't help. It hurt to walk, so I didn't exercise and I gained more weight, vicious circle. Dr. Methuselah did my foot surgery last week and it couldn’t have gone better! The staff were all so friendly and informative. Dr. Methuselah was very kind and professional throughout the whole process. He told me what to expect and gave me a very detailed step by step recovery process. As long as you follow his instructions your recovery will be excellent. The before and after x-rays prove what a very skilled surgeon he is. I would give 10 stars if I could. The gals in the office are great and Dr Methusela is fabulous.. he went over everything clearly.. I was a little scared having surgery, but here I am 5 weeks out, with no boot!! Not 100%yet, but I know I'll get there soon. If you do as they say, follow directions.. you'll be ok!!

The best podiatrist around. I had bad pain in my toes for over 2 years. Dr. Methuselah diagnosed as neuroma, tried non-surgical treatment first. When that didn't work, he suggested surgery as the last option which I accepted. He takes time to talk to you and you can tell he really cares about his patients.

Knowledgeable in the latest techniques of foot surgery. My surgery to correct Hallux Limitus was successful and returned my range of motion eliminating my overall foot pain and limping. I am back to walking two to five miles in less than eight weeks. Highly recommend Dr. Methuselah.

Dr. Methuselah is a great doctor and solved my foot problems. There was no wait time in his reception area and the staff was inviting. They were practicing Covid 19 procedures. There was practically no wait time after you were in the waiting room. Dr. Methuselah is AMAZING! My pain was minimal and he made sure I understood every part of the recovery process. Melanie, office manager, was so helpful with processing documents for work. He nurses were very attentive to my needs when caring for my foot. I highly recommend anyone considering foot surgery to go to Dr. Methuselah.

I went to Dr. Methuselah with Plantar Fasciitis. It started in May. I had gone to two other Drs. It was now August. Dr. Methuselah was very thorough and tried lots of different things. Nothing improved. Finally on Dec. 9th he did surgery. It was a long time healing but it is marvelous. He really knows what he is doing and will not do surgery unless it is the last resort. I like that. I would not hesitate at all to have him help me with all of my foot problems.

I had an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional experience with Dr. Methusaleh. In my opinion, he grossly violated professional ethics during my last visit earlier this year. When I told him I had sought a second opinion for my plantar fasciitis he became visibly angry and said, “I’m the expert; you are not.” He then stormed out of the room. The entire experience lasted two minutes. He did not ask me about the condition of my foot or show any interest in my health. I have seen dozens of doctors and podiatrists in my adult life and I have never been treated so rudely or unprofessionally. The members of his office staff were pleasant and professional. But I urge anyone seeking podiatric treatment to find another option.

I went to Dr Methuselah for a moderate bunion Lapiplasty. Remembering how deformed from bunions and arthritis my Mother's feet were, I knew something had to be done before it was too late for me. To my surprise, I experienced absolutely no pain or discomfort, even during the recovery period. Dr Methuselah and staff were always honest, professional, competent, and kind... and always on time. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I had a foot problem.

I visited Dr. Methuselah in 2018 for two concerns one being foot pain and the other a concern with a small and slight discoloration of one of my toenails. He suggested a possible toenail fungus which would need to be confirmed by a lab test before he could treat the toenail. I agreed to this thinking "How much could a lab test be for a toenail really be?" Well I should have inquired further because Dr. Methuselah sent the sample to McClain Laboratory in NY rather than use a lab in state costing me $1042.00 even after insurance applied their part! I feel that Dr. Methuselah's office should ethically inform their patients of the cost of this test since it is far exceeds the cost of treatment! I am very disappointed in this office and have wondered since if there is some sort of personal connection between Dr. Methuselah and this lab. 2/11/20 Update: After Dr. Methuselah's office read my post, I was quickly contacted by Melanie, Dr. Methuselah's office manager. She was very polite and concerned with my issue detailed in the above post. Melanie took the time to explain that Dr. Methuselah chooses to work with this particular lab because they work well with patients, often writing off lab fees remaining after insurance payments. She worked as the go between since I was not getting through to the lab and was able to get the remaining lab fees removed leaving a zero balance. I am appreciative of the quick response and help that Dr. Methuselah's office gave me in rectifying this excessive lab fee. From the moment I called the office and spoke to Karen through meeting and being examined by Dr. Methuselah, I knew I was going to the right doctor. I had been avoiding going to a healthcare facility because of Covid 19. At Dr. Dan's (his nickname) office, everyone wore a mask and followed strict protocols. They even had masks for patients, if needed. Dr. Dan took his time to understand my problem. He seemed to understand my issue and after looking at my x-ray explained my diagnosis in terms I could understand. He was kind, thorough and very knowledgeable. I recommend him to anyone experiencing foot issues! I am only sorry that I waited 2 and a half months to make an appointment.

I went to Dr. Methuselah because of an achy, painful bunion. He recommended lapiplasty and did a fabulous job with it. Everyone told me how painful this procedure and recovery would be. I have been to Dr. Methuselah on several occasions for ingrown toenails. He is awesome and I recommend him to all of my friends and family. He has treated 3 members of my family and countless friends and co-workers. Give him a try, you will not regret it!

Dr. Methusulah performed a bunionectomy and ostomy on my left foot on 2-28-2018. I went into the surgery with 100 percent confidence in him but dreaded the recovery, as I had heard horror stories. Although it was not the most pleasant experience, I went into it feeling educated about what to expect and it was not nearly as bad as I had anticipated. Dr. Methusulah called to check on me and throughout the whole process listened to and addressed every single one of my concerns. I am almost 4 months post-op and am happy to report that I have full function of my foot. I even returned to Dance2Fit 3 weeks ago and participate 2-3 times per week????. Dr. Methuselah and his staff are first rate! Columbia Podiatry is the THE place to go if you need help with your feet!!! When I first started going to see him, he was very kind and thorough with his assessments. He is not a surgeon who rushes straight to the operating room and we tried several things first. When it became evident that surgery would be necessary, he put a plan in place and answered all of my questions. I felt so confident going into my procedure b/c I knew I had found the right doctor and the right staff to take care of me. He prepared me very well for my procedure and there were no surprises. His front of the house staff, Karen, Lisa and Melanie could not have been kinder and always made sure that I had convenient appointments. They bent over backwards to take care of me and they really cared about me. Billing and insurance were never an issue I could not have asked for more in an office staff. The back of the house staff, Danielle and Candace were phenomenal. I never waited long and once when I thought I had a concern, they took my call right away, and got me in to see them that day. It turned out to be nothing to worry about but they were still glad I came in and were genuinely concerned about me. When I first saw my foot afterwards, I couldn't believe how neat the stitches were! It was perfect!!!!! Today, it looks amazing and I have virtually no scar. I first visited Dr. Methusaleh and his staff after I became tired of walking with pain each and every day. I was treated professionally and with care from the start by both the office staff and nursing staff. After Dr. Methusaleh diagnosed my foot as having a neuroma, he then clearly explained all of my options for treatment. He was extremely thorough and answered all of my questions with explicit information. We went through several non-surgery protocols before we finally decided to remove the inflamed nerve (via surgery). I had been suffering for years from painful arthritis in my large toe. I had surgery on my toe in March and just four weeks later was back into my shoe with no more pain. Dr. Methuselah is very experienced/knowledgeable and takes time to answer your questions. The office folks are great. I highly recommend this practice.

I found Dr Methuselah to be a very competent and kind provider. He took time to assess my foot problem and come up with a plan. Unfortunately, my problem did not respond to the injections so he advised me, based on the complexity of my foot, to go to a foot and ankle surgeon. He was not hesitant to refer me on.

The procedure and healing process were nothing as expected. I've heard many hooror stories of extreme pain and long recovery times. I apparently have a jam up doctor. The pain was minimal and I was completely recovered in the time frame Dr. Methuselah gave me in the beginning. He is an excellent doctor!

I went there for diabetic foot care. In the pamphlet they have on diabetic foot care, according to #4 on the instructions sheet says to cut straight across. The staff member cut down on the sides, doing that caused her to cut my skin. It became infected and I had to go to my family doctor, he gave me 2 prescriptions. So now I am out both, the procdure they messed up, plus my other doctor and the 2 medications. They have an office to not remburse overcharge till insurance companies pay them. My question i if they an office policy in affect. How many other patients have they cheated? The insurance company, said they would pay the doctor full cost of the visit and they still not reimburse. Now that my nails are growing out, since they were cut below the skin they hurt so much my bed covers hurt my toes and wake me up. After receiving several different consults, I elected to see Dr. Methuseleh due to hearing a lot of positive feedback from many common contacts. My experience was very good. I am a direct and detailed individual and appreciate Dr. Methuseleh's hands on approach. While follow up for my ankle surgery was completed after initial stabilty by his very capable team, the majority of the direct care and diagnosis was from Dr. Methuseleh. While I respect the knowledge and need of the role of today physicians assistants, I appreciated the initial thorough diagnosis and explanation from the doctor. I had already been navigating the maze of making it through the hierarchy of seeing a doctor at my orthopedist, which proved to be a time waste. My case was particularly difficult ,as was noted by my radiology report. Dr. Methuseleh had a discussion with me that this was well within his skill set and I felt comfortable with moving forward surgically. Dr. Methuselah has performed bunion surgery on both of my feet. He was recommended to me by a friend 13 years ago when I had my bunionectomy on my left foot. The surgery and recovery went great and was non-eventful. I just recently got a stress fracture in my 2nd metatarsal on my right foot. Over the past ten years Dr. Methusela has successfully treated me for two broken toes, corrected two hammer toes by surgery and treated several other problems with my feet. Most recently he has a treated a toe wound that has resisted normal healing (I am a diabetic). By use of an "Amniotic Wound Dressing," Dr. Methusela has been able to heal the wound where several Wound Specialists previously failed. I am totally impressed by Dr. Methusela and his entire staff. We would not recommend Dr. Methuselah to family or friends. Dr. Methuselah is an ok doctor, but his policies and staff are very poor. The office manager has been rude, obnoxious and arrogant to us on multiple times. Their policy is to charge $20 per patient, per copy, requested to be sent to another physician, or to the patient. No other doctor, clinic or hospital has ever charged us for medical records to be sent. As a result, we will never consider Dr. Daniel Methuselah in the future.We wo
