Had a great experience on his virtual platform called Ognomy. It’s telemedicine on steroids!! Highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr.Rifkin for well over 5 years. I had several appointments today and didn't realize that my appointment was at 12:00 instead of 12:30. The receptionist was kind of rude and told me I couldn't be seen today. I apologized for the miss understanding and rescheduled the appointment for tomorrow. However after talking to the person who gives me rides to my appointments I found out I would not be able to make that appointment. I called the office as soon as I found out, as soon as i explained who I was and why I was calling the phone got disconnected. Thinking it was done in error I called the office three more times only to have the phone picked up and slammed back down. How very unprofessional. I'm very saddened by the fact I was treated this way as I really do love dr rifkin and the rest of the staff but unfortunately I will be looking for a new dr.

I appreciate the kindness and understanding that I received during my sleep study which was probably ( I think ) unusual.

You only see the doctor once or twice. The PAs used to be helpful but lately like all medical offices their attention is on the computer screen and that leaves little interaction with you. I don't feel they listen to you and try to find a solution. They keep to the usual problems like weight or meds and make an excuse that you fall through the cracks if you do not fit the norm. Home sleep studies do not show the whole picture of what is going on with you. Many people I know hear the same story. The staff is rude and calls are not returned. Disappointed in the service.

I have been a patient for over 25 years with Dr. Rifkin. Although over the past ten years, I have not been to see him. Been passed on to the PA, who is delinquent with regard to calling people back including results of blood work, etc., which never happens. Office staff often rude and nasty attitude. I have a very complex medical history which requires competent medical providers. I do not understand what is going on, but the downward slide in care has me very concerned, not only for me, but for others. Where is Dr. Rifkin??

I just had my first telemedicine appt with Dr. Rifkin and not only am I glad that option was available right now because of COVID, but I think Dr. Rifkin is great. Very friendly and explained things in a clear and easily understandable way. I 100% recommend for anyone having sleep issues!

It’s not Dr Rifkin that is the problem. It’s the whole staff. I have called the office 4 times and the PA never returns my calls. I’m not sure if he’s not getting the messages from the secretaries or if he just doesn’t call me back.

I have been seeing Dr Rifkin for as long as he has been practicing and he is an excellent Dr. If it weren’t for him I would never sleep. He really got my RLS under control and I was quite a complicated case.

I would not ever attempt to go to this office again . I scheduled a much needed appointment because I have sleep apnea and I am having very difficulties sleeping and my job depends on it . So with being a new patient I scheduled a appointment and I had to wait 2 months which is not uncommon in many new patients and offices . So I wait nearly 2 months and 4 days before my appointment which I had to take off of work for the receptionist calls and says she has to cancel my appointment due to the doctor will not be in the office.Naturally I’m not happy after waiting 2 months but okay things happen I understand so I continue to ask the receptionist to reschedule She begins to tell me I would have to wait another 2 and a half months to be seen and they would t do nothing for me to get me in sooner . I think this is such a nasty thing to do to a patient that has a serious sleep issue which all the patients are here for . I told them my concerns and they did not care and hung up . I waited 3 months for an appointment with Dr Rifkin and when I finally got there, I was seen by a nurse. Am have extreme insomnia and emwent through a lengthy explainatuon as well as filled out several pages of paperwork prior to the appointment. All I was given was a “sleep log” and told to practice good “sleep hygiene”. Really?? I’ve had trouble sleeping for over a year and a half and that is the professional advice that I am given? I am so incredibly disappointed.

What a terrible place...like the other reviewer said the staff is extremely unhelpful. Not only was the service bad, I was charged $120 more for my appointment then I was supposed to be, which btw they only acknowledged after I brought it up 2 months after when after weeding through my medical claims with my insurance company. I was given a billing number to called and the lady acted like it was no big deal and was supposed to send me my rebate check. Well 3 weeks later, and 3 months after my appointment, still nothing. Called their office again as I didn't have the billing number anymore and the rep first of all cut me off while I was talking and proceeded to tell me that she couldn't help me and that someone from billing would call me and wouldn't provide me the number again, the one I got 3 weeks ago. She then told me that the billing "department" works from home in Florida. What? your billing department works from home in Florida!? what kind of a backroom operation is this? I finally found the billing number and when I spoke with the rep again she made it seem like there was no issue and that my check will finally be sent out this Friday? So, not only did you not acknowledge that the check wasn't sent out as promised, I have to wait longer for you to send the check out? I asked her why the delay of 3 weeks and she told me she was on vacation and didn't send out stuf on time like she was supposed to? I have been going to Dr. Rifkin for over 20 years and have been completely satisfied with the way he has cared for me. He is very well educated in the field of sleep related disorders and is very dedicated to giving his patients the best possible care that he can. I owe my life to Dr. Rifkin for he detected I had an irregular heart beat , something my other Doctors never observed. Dr.. Rifkin's Sleep Centers are very clean and his employees who administer the sleep study are very dedicated to what they do. Dr. Rifkin's "bed side manners" are second to none for he considers each patient as an individual and not a number. Any time that I have called him he has always repaid my call and took plenty of time to address my concerns. Dr. Rifkin is very kind, considerate, honest, and very dedicated to help his patients in any way that he can. I feel very fortunate and blessed to have him as my Doctor and cannot thank him enough for the excellent care has provided me with.. S. My husband was having severe sleep apnea problems and stopped breathing continuously. Dr.Rifkin and his staff were fabulous, kind, responsive and highly competent. I am perplexed by the negative reviews because the comments are opposite of the experience my husband had with them. My husband has achieved full nights of sleep without apnea with his equipment. Dr.Rifkin met with my husband and me after his sleep study, he explained the results and answered all of our questions thoroughly.

Terrible experience with this doctor and staff. The staff is rude and condescending, and you can't get a timely appointment to see the Dr.My father has a medical condition where the BIPAP is essential to his survival.He did a sleep study that Dr. Rifkin signed off on.The BIPAP was then not working.I called to discuss this with the Dr.His staff said we couldn't bc my dad is "not considered a patient!" What?!? So I tried to make an apt but the soonest we could get in was 2 months! Just POOR!

I just had a sleep study 6 weeks ago and the office called me to get right in. I was able to see Dr. Rifkin within a week because my sleep apnea was severe. I followed up with a PA and she was terrific. I'm not sure what this Jim guy is talking about, but Dr. Rifkin was amazing and I feel even more amazing! Dr. Rifkin is worth the wait!

I had a sleep study at Dr. Rifkin's office.Dr. Rifkin wrote the summary report, but you CAN'T GET AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE HIM TO DISCUSS RESULTS! The soonest appointment they had available was FOUR MONTHS from my study.This is unconscionable and borders on medical malpractice.I could see the Physician's Assistant (PA) sooner, but even that was THREE MONTHS out.So the doctor subcontracts his work to a PA, and you STILL can't get an appointment with him! Forget emergency visits; ANY visit! Terrible!

Staff unhelpful and condescending. I was unfamiliar with the process, they stated I would need a referral from my family doctor or to see one of their doctors prior to a study. Informed that my family doctor is out of town and was then stared at by the receptionist--very awkward. I would have probably offered someone an appointment with a physician to determine if a study was needed, since that was an option, after hearing that they had no local doctor. Great way to chase away business. Staff unhelpful and condescending.
