From day one, I knew what to expect and felt very assured that the procedure would work. Using Force Therapeutics was excellent and kept me on task. Pre exercises and post exercises were easy to follow because of the videos used in the program. So important to keep up with the exercises. Added to all of this is the staff that works in the office, they are there to help with any questions. Jessica was especially helpful on numerous occasions.

Dr Sage did nothing less than an outstanding job on my knee. It is hard to believe how well my knee feels at this point (3 months). I don't know what else to say , but thanks so much Dr Sage.

Everyone in that practice was friendly, efficient & knowledgable. there is no distress about calling. I know everything will be comfortable.

My whole experience before, during and after my left hip replacement couldn't have been better. Dr. Sage explained everything to me in detail and answered any questions I might have had. The procedure went beautifully; my recuperation was swift and I love my new hip.

I am very happy with my new knee! Dr. Sage and his team did a wonderful job and the whole experience, from surgery through recovery, was not nearly the ordeal I had expected. I hope to have my other knee done by Dr. Sage in the not-too-distant future.

I walked out of my appointment with Dr. Sage on the phone scheduling with a new doctor at an office I trusted over 90 minutes away. He was incredibly dismissive, refused to acknowledge my genetic connective tissue disorder (which complicates any medical treatment I receive and should weigh especially heavily on joint issues), and literally walked out of the office before I could ask a single question forcing me to chase him into the hall to ask if he has any recommendations for pain relief as I hadn't slept in weeks. He begrudgingly sent me for an MRI which he was confident would come back clean and assured me I did not need a follow-up appointment. When he called to tell me that I surprisingly had a significant labral tear, he did not explain my options or set any expectations for care or recovery. I'm not sure if his treatment of me was related to being female or under 50 or if this is just how he treats all his patients, but it was completely unacceptable.

I am extremely pleased with Dr. Sage and also most impressed with the total knee replacement that he gave me on July 7 of this year. I have had an almost complete recovery from that surgery. I am hopeful that I can have my right knee replaced at the beginning of 2021. By the way, I have recommended Dr. Sage to many people!!!

I saw Dr Sage for a revision of a failed right knee replacement I had done 7 years ago.

The whole team was very professional. Caring and concerned about my health and welfare. Emails were sent back to me right away. I had a set back 2 days after surgery and had to see Dr. Sage. They told me to come in asap. They were on time or even early with all my appointments and follow ups. I would highly recommend Dr. Sage and his office.

hip replacement surgery went very well. Office was great about rescheduling me quickly when elective surgery was again allowed.

Once we decided a total hip replacement was needed my experience was nothing but over the top. Dr. Sage, his office staff, B.M.C. staff, Berk. Visiting Nurses, and the availability to the Force App were all exceptional. I would highly recommend Dr. Sage and B.M.C. to anyone who is considering a total hip replacement.

I was one of Dr. Sage's first patients when he replaced my right hip in 2015 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA. Through that process he kept an eye on my left hip replacement which was done by his predecessor in Northampton in 2000. He can do revisions on hip replacements which was important to me moving forward. There are not many doctors who can do revisions. He was trained to do them. On February 25, 2020 he did the revision on my 20 year old left hip at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. It went exceptionally well. Being my third hip surgery I know the rehab very well which worked out during the Covid-19 pandemic shut down. He trusted me that I knew what I was doing and I trust him. He is kind, always accessible, and extremely skilled and talented. He is my guy moving forward. His support staff is the same.

I could not be happier with the care, information,and Dr Sage himself. Had total knee replacement on Jan 27 th. I have had no problems with my knee since. I had no issues with my healing process, did everything I was instructed to do. I would recommend Dr Sage to anyone looking for a orthopedic surgeon.

Dr Sage was great !!! I have had both knees done one in October and the other in December. All is doing GREAT !!! I still have a ways to go but I am not worried at all. I know that I will be way better off.

I had excellent care for my knee joint replacement starting with Dr Sage, his assistants, the nurses and CNAs at BMC and even houskeeping.Everybody was kind and caring. The food was good, also. We even had a few laughs during my stay at BMC. Oh yeah. The physical and occupational therapists were great also! The outcome for my knee has been perfect!

I had left knee total replacement in Nov. 2019 and am completely satisfied with Dr. Sage's techniques using the robotic instrument which provided exact replacement guidelines. Also, I think because of the use of a zipper bandage, my scar is almost perfect.

I had a total knee replacement surgery in November. I was able to walk unassisted in just two weeks and did some driving a well. I had absolutely no problems. Doctor Sage will be operating on me when I need to have the other knee replaced.

Excellent. I had knee replacement surgery in late August and within three weeks I was able to walk pain free. I went to a few PT sessions which helped my recovery. Dr. Sage and his staff did a fine job. I highly recommend him.

I am extremely happy with my new knee. I just finished with PT and have a lot of work to do at home to keep my knee bending. I find that if I am on it for a period of time the leg swells still and I have to elevate it, but I am not upset about this.

Couldn't even tie my own shoes or walk without a limp now I have no problem with being able to do both with ease. Very happy with results.

Dr. Sage is a highly skilled, compassionate Orthopedic surgeon. He was completely transparent about having a knee replacement from the first visit. We had a thorough understanding of the procedure and recovery. My knee was a challenge and he was confident that he was going to be able to help me. I was able to walk into his office at 4 weeks with no assistive device and in much less pain than prior to the surgery.

I had a full hip replacement and Dr. Sage was awesome, explained everything very thoroughly and in words I understood , my recovery is going great and I can now walk my dog plus do so much more w/o any pain! Wonderful experience.....he also has a great nurse in Karen B!!!

Dr Sage gets a 1star from me only because he talks a good game at initial visits. Other than that I might question his skills especially after living several years with his results He did a full knee replacement for my right knee 4 years ago. In postOp he told me he did the best he could but couldn’t spend additional time. He apparently had under-diagnosed my problem. Recovery was the most painful and the specialist at Cooley Dickenson said in his career he had not seen such a stubborn recovery and with such pain. It took 3 years of therapy and exercise to get to a functional state and today gives me more trouble than my other knee replaced 15 years ago. Today it is still problematic. Overall I feel he not a qualified OS His arrogance and total denial of his shortcomings is unacceptable. He grades an F- in bedside manner.

Very disappointed in this Doctor.Told me I could wait for surgery (knee replacement) but don't wait too long.REALLY?!! I've been waiting 5 yrs. for the surgery! Anyway I won't go there anymore, will go somewhere else for the surgery.Totally lost confidence in that place.

My total experience with Doctor Sage was outstanding from time of procedure to post procedure I would recommend him for a total knee replacement at any time ! All his staff including receptionist, and the physical therapy staff were always there for my needs and concerns.

Dr Sage informed me prior to surgery about what to expect. Surgery went well and he visited me after the surgery. Not the P.A. Dr Sage came himself. He Anders all questions thoroughly and listens when you're talking. After surgery I needed a letter to get thru security at airports and he took care of it immediately. He's joint and very competent. And he's easy on the eyes!

I had TKR last year and developed ileo-tibial band inflammation so I will be treated for that. The surgery went well, I had great P.T. at Cooley Dickinson in Hadley (Mary Scanlon-Flynn) and walk without a problem. Now I need ultra sound for the itb thing. Dr. Sage is great.

Dr Sage does not listen, explain nor give you a feeling of confidence. He seemed bothered to answer questions after I pushed for answers. He is the type of doctor that seems to put himself on a pedestal and lets you know that if he decides that he will perform surgery on you, you should be grateful that he has deemed you worthy. Not my cup of tea.
