I have been a patient of Dr. Cavalli for a year now. I was having throat issues, mainly, difficulty swallowing. I presented my symptoms to him as well as my history for lymphoma. His dedication to his profession has been invaluable to me. He listens, coordinates with my oncology care and continues to provide the answers I need. I was recently diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and was referred to Dr. Cavalli by my nurse practitioner. I found his office staff to be friendly and helpful. Dr. Cavalli was professional, respectful and thoroughly explained my condition and health care options. He skillfully performed my surgery and when other health concerns arose referred me to the specialists who could address those concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Cavalli. I went to him in need of a tonsillectomy. I had been in and out of doctors offices for approximately 12 years with sore, swollen and white tonsils. I had temperatures over 102 degrees with consistent vomiting. I would wake up every day afraid to swallow because I was so used to my throat always being sore. I would also be fatigued throughout the day. These episodes would last at least 1 week at a time and occur about 4 times each year. Dr. Cavalli has changed my life. I went to see Dr. Cavalli because I was getting sinus infections 3 to 4 times a year and was never able to breathe through my nose. He determined that I had a deviated septum and that surgery was necessary to correct the problem. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and I have been able to breathe through my nose for the past week even with the packing still in place. Professional and personal, Dr. Cavalli takes all the time and care needed to address all my concerns. The staff is very helpful scheduling me immediately for critical issues, and the environment is kept super sanitized. Office staff did not inform me they had not received insurance authorization until I arrived at the office. Then total confusion as they tried to sort it out,(they were calling the wrong doctor. Then I waited MORE than 2 hours, finally just left.

Expect to wait and wait and wait to be seen in the office whether it is for the doctor or his assistant. (an hour or longer) .This is a chronic problem even if you walk into the waiting room and there are only a few people waiting. No respect for your time .

For common decency, go anywhere else. I went into my appointment with a lot of questions and not a lot of clarity. The nurse I met with was very personable and incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, this was in stark contrast to the doctor himself, whose brusqueness was offensive and rude. If you know exactly what's wrong with you Dr. Cavalli may be great, but for an otolaryngologist, he did a surprisingly abysmal job job of making me feel heard and understood. I would recommend Dr. Cavalli to anyone. He is an excellent ENT and has helped me tremendously with my nose and ear issues. He is very thorough and makes recommendations for your daily nose and ear health that are helpful and easy to follow. His has a great personality which is nice to have in a doctor. Makes you feel at ease.

Dr. not present for difficult diagnosis, lack of follow through leading to reoccurring problems

The WORST triage/customer service I've ever experienced! To get an appointment I had to wait over a month. Then the week before the scheduled appointment they left a message that the doctor wouldn't be in the office that day, so I had to reschedule. When I called to reschedule, I was told I would have to wait over another month to be seen. This is just not acceptable for someone with a history of ear problems that is having pain, discharge and loss of hearing! The receptionist did not even ask for my symptoms. When I told her, she made no effort to get me in sooner. NOT GOOD! As a nurse, I would encourage this practice to have someone with triage skills available to screen calls! Huge liability here. Dr. Cavalli corrected my deviated septum surgically in April of 2015. On the day of the surgery I felt in good hands with the care given by the pre-op, surgical and post-op teams. My recovery from the surgery went well and surprisingly quick. Within a couple weeks my nose was healed and I was breathing so much better; a testament to Dr. Cavalli?s great surgical skills. At the beginning, when Doctor Cavalli diagnosed my nasal polyps, he assured me that it needed to be addressed. Doctor Cavalli had a plan that he carefully explained. The integrity of his words and his knowledge bank enhanced my trust with this surgeon. It was all about breathing and finally releasing the pressure on my sinuses.
