Just started going to see dr smolen. He takes his time with you to go over everything necessary. Happy with my new doctor

Dr Smolen & his Receptionist / assistant were so helpful in assisting my friend who was in a Rheumatology flareup . They took our call promptly & assisted in stabilizing the flareup. And moved forward into after care blood work and insurance needs . Following thru even with the appropriate specialist . The bedside manner was impeccable ???? Dont plan on doing anything after your appointment you'll be waiting for 5 hours before you even get brought back to a room.

Sadly, all the one star reviews are telling the truth. My experience at this office has been unpleasant as well. I tried to give this guy a chance. After my third visit, I am seeking a new physician. I cannot give my money to a lazy doctor who will refer instead of treat. After my second time, which I had to leave because of the looooooooong wait, I should have followed my instincts to find a new doctor then. But, I told myself third time is the charm. It is disrespectful to be late to an appointment. People have obligations outside of their medical appointments. I especially do not have time, nor do I have the patience to sit hours in a doctor's office. Scheduling needs to be revised. If you like to take your sweet old time with every patient then have your schedule reflect that, as he noted in a response to a reviewer. Well, my hard earned money will be spent elsewhere. This will be my last time leaving this office frustrated and in pain. Never again. Dear owner. Be open to criticism and listen. You obviously missed what I said about my concerns being unheard during my visits; in addition, to having to leave one time due to the extended wait. So, did you take your time to listen to me either times? Hmm. Thanks for the luck. It is not required as there are plenty of great listening and attentive physicians out there. I had an amazing doctor prior to my insurance change. You are by far the worst I have yet to encounter. Based from anger filled response, my decision to go elsewhere was the right move. Dr Smolen is top of the line. Very dedicated getting to know you personally. Our physical health depends on emotional and mental health and taking the time to see you as a whole person helps him to treat you more appropriately. Most Drs only look at their specialty and therefore miss important factors that can be affecting your problem. Thank you Dr Smolen for many years of superb care! Seth and Wilma

I have been a patient of Doctor Smolen for years. He is a very good doctor and has always taken care of me. Sometimes the wait is a little long but it is a small price to pay for good health care. His staff is also very good. I would recommend him and the staff to anyone reading this review.

Sometime the wait is a little long but its Dr. Smolen taking his time with each patient to care for there needs.

Dr. Smolen takes a personal interest and takes time to get to know his patients, the whole person: physical, psychological, spiritual. He does take time which is helpful, but also a problem I have experienced is that he comes late to start his office hours.

Dr Smolen has been our family doctor for 40 years. I find him very caring and knowlegable about my ailments. At times when it was necessary to see a specialist I would call Dr S afterward to discuss my visit. I trust his knowlege and guidance.

Dr Smolen has been our family doctor for 20 years. He is very caring and extremely thorough! He is very knowledgeable and his diagnosis are always right! You know you are in great hands when he examines you and looks at you rather than the computer. His staff is very helpful and kind. Overall a great team!

Terrible doctor and even worse is the receptionist “Diane”. Probably the laziest receptionist ever!!! Don’t waste your time here, you’ll have an appointment and after an hour of waiting in the waiting room, you’ll get moved to an exam room... where you’ll wait another 45 minutes! If I were able to give this no stars I would! This is by far the worst family medicine I have ever been to in my entire life. First they canceled my appointment because they were short on staff which to me sounded like a personal problem. The lady “Diane “ was very rude on the phone and me me do things that a receptionist job is suppose to do. Made me do all the calling for no reason when I got there supposedly they did not receive the information. Then on the day of the appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early prior to my appointment which was at 12:00pm. Apparently there were 3 other patients and they took them in first so we were confused. Didn’t get seen till 12:50pm then didn’t see the doctor til about 2:00pm. The doctor was very nasty and rude. Made smart remarks and tried to make me feel dumb. I have never been to a office where I feel disrespected and such out of place. The doctor kept going out to check on other patients and made me wait even more trying to get in contact with my previous doctor. I waited for about 3 hours for nothing. I just got up and walked out! I chose Dr. Smolin years ago and he has been a great Doctor to me. He’s simply the best!!!

His staff are awsome they are kind and caring especially Nikole and Shawniece. I have a bad back injury with his acupuncture is helping get better day by day he is a great guy.

My appointment was at 11:30 am. It is now 12:56 pm and I'm still waiting in the lobby. This is a consistent issue. The first patient appointment is made for 10am and around 10:30 he calls the office to say he's on his way in. Very inconsideration of people's time. I will be changing my PCP today.
