absolutely the worst. If everything goes well, he may be OK. But in my case, I have to have his knee replacement, replaced by another doctor. What a nightmare. And he totally ignored me. But no doctor wants to admit a mistake.

Dr Valaik did my hip replacement and he was outstanding! He is a great doctor and very skillful surgeon.

I was met by Dr Valaik and his staff and given information about my knees. Xrays were taken and my feet were checked for a heart beat. Dr Valaik suggested cortisone shots and I agreed to try them.

I saw Dr. Valaik for knee pain. I had a great experience. He answered all my questions and explained my MRI to me thoroughly. Super nice!

Went to see Dr. Valaik about some pain and weakness in my left knee. He let know that their was some grinding occurring underneath my knee cap but it wasn't something that needed surgery. He recommended to just rest it and provided me a referral to an excellent Physical Therapist, Massoud Talaie.

As a retired physician I see how terrifically Dr Valaik and his team perform. He is thoughtful, thorough and extremely well organized. His team results in excellent outcomes over and over again. You can’t go wrong here!

Dr Valaik was highly recommended by a friend of mine. Office and medical staff were top notch. I expected that, as a surgeon, Dr Valaik would recommend some type of surgery but he did not. He developed a thoughtful plan of attack that starts with PT and strengthening exercises. I will return if I am having any additional problems.

Dr Valaik replaced my knee in 2011 and I have visited for routine check-ups since. During initial consultations he listened to me, understood my concerns and questions. He answered all in understandable terms. He listened and I felt party of the decision. I knew the risk & recovery challenges. My result was great. I originally came to see Dr. Valaik for a second opinion on my right hip replacement. While seeing him he ended up having to do the total hip replacement on the left. He did a great job and now he is going to try and fix the right hip. I have not had any relief since the right hip replacement done in 2014. Very pleasant, informative visit. Dr. Valaik is professional and personable all at the same time. He did my first knee replacement and I'm getting ready to have him do the other one. I would highly recommend him for any orthopedic problems with the knee, up to and including full replacement.

First off I am always surprised by how fast your called to go back. Dr Valaik and his staff are always so friendly and make you feel so comfortable and want to get to the root of the problem. He even called the Doctor who referred me to him, to talk about my MRI while I was sitting there. That’s when you know a Doctor cares when they take that extra step to help you. Dr. Valaik is an outstanding physician. He performed both hip replacement surgeries, May and August of last year. From the very beginning, the procedure was explained thoroughly. Dr. Valaik answered all my questions. He took his time so that I would not only understand the procedure but the entire process of rehab, exercise, and healing. I have no pain now. When I first came to see Dr. Valaik, I could hardly walk. I highly recommend Dr. Valaik and his team.

Dr. Valaik is a great Dr/surgeon. Nowadays it's hard to find a good doctor. He made me feel like he genuinely cared about my health. I had a previous hip replacement with a different surgeon in 2014 and was in lot of pain for close to 5 years. He was able to figure out what the issue was and he fixed it. He is very knowledgeable and he gives you all the time you need asking questions etc. He doesn't rush you out the door like some so doctors do. His assistant Kevin is also very thorugh and just as amazing. Thank you Dr. Valaik and Kevin for all of your support and most importantly thank you for making me feel better.

Dr. Valaik is the kind of doctor I appreciate. Knowledgeable, skilled, and patient. He talks to me in language I understand and he listens to me. He replaced my right hip, I did what he told me to do, and I healed quickly and perfectly.

Excellent explanations of what to expect both before and after the operation. And, most important of all, my knee feels great. My pain level after the operation never got above a three and then only on a few occasions did it ever even reach to three. Dr. Valaik was superb in every aspect… I could not have asked for a better outcome from the operation and it is all thanks to Dr. Valaik.

Dr. Valaik was as an outstanding surgeon and also was very empathetic and listened and communicated well. He performed a total knee replacement and I was back at work in 6 days, driving in 11 days and playing golf in 7 weeks. My PT asked for his name so that he could recommend Dr. Valaik to others. Dr. Valaik was excellent. I saw him for a second opinion on further treatment for ongoing knee pain. I’ve had three replacements. He gave me a thorough exam, reviewed my history and X-rays. I felt his assessment was honest and thoughtful. While I had hoped more could be done, he felt I’d been through enough and needed to accept where I was.

Dr. Valaik was super personable and attentive during my appointment. He listened well, and had great bed side manners.

I had a left hip replacement surgery. Dr. Valaik is the best doctor. I had no complications at all. He is very caring and he truly cares about his patients. He took his time to answer our questions before and after surgery. I was in so much pain before surgery and I can't believe I have no more pain on that side. I LOVE dr valaik. My mom passed away from a knee replacement surgery (the doctor left a staple in and she died a horrible death from sepsis.) Needless to say when I found out 6 months later I must have one I was...there are no words. I felt completely comfortable with dr. Valaik. He listened to my horror story and reassured me. I was in tears going in the operating room and he was right by my side reassuring me. The surgery was wonderful! Because of other health issues I have a hard time healing and developed an infection. When the hospital near me called to talk to him, he immediately met me at the emergency room and admitted me. He was going on vacation the next day though. On his vacation, he called to check up on me. What doctor does that? Unheard of!!!!!!! Well after many months I healed and was doing great. Two years later my other knee needed to be replaced. Dejavu???? This time he was prepared and knew what to expect from my healing. I had no problems! I would recommend dr.

I could not have asked for a better surgical team headed up by Dr. Valaik. I was out of the hospital in less than 24 hours after the surgery. Literally zero pain after the surgery. took no pain medication and was at 120 degree range of motion in less than 6 weeks.

I recommend Dr. Valaik without reservation. I lived with pain and discomfort for far too long. Dr. Valaik performed a total knee replacement on my right knee in late October 2019. Within two months, I was able to walk unassisted and pain free. He explained the process, answered all of my questions. He is personable and professional. Well I was in Orlando came to Bethesda for my daughter getting married. Twisted my knew the pain went to 8 on a scale of 10. Couldn't walk and didn't want to drive back to FL so went to see Dr. Valaik. He prepared the Knee with some lotion then stuck the cortisone shot in my left Knee. No pain at all. This is 2nd day walking like if I have a new knee. He is from Lithuania. One of my ex was from Lithuania We spoke little bit Lithuanian. Magic Hands. I will one day get my knee replaced by him.

Dr. Valaik performed a total hip replacement surgery for me. The results were perfect and my recovery has been uneventful, far better and less painful than I could have hoped for. Also he's a very nice, patient, compassionate man who inspires confidence. Zero complaints. Six stars.

I had both of my knees replaced on February 21, 2018. I am only nine weeks out, but walking more than a mile without aide, using a recumbent bike and experiencing very little pain at this point. I also have very little scarring. I am so impressed by Dr. Valaik's surgical skills and his P.A. Kevin Woodard is really terrific as well. He gave me his email address and told me to contact him anytime regarding any problems with pain medications or other questions

I had total knee replacement surgery with Dr Valiak in December 2017. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was complete and thorough explaining my condition and the options available. When I decided to have the surgery, I knew that I was in the good hands of a highly skilled surgeon.
