Reviews for David Canes
Nothing but excellence. Top notch care!
Dr. Canes has cared for me for 10 years, after my cystoprostectomy. Dr. Canes performed my surgery robotically and the results were a complete success. I had no post operative complications, and no ED. I lead a completely normal cancer free life, thanks to Dr. Canes. Dr. Canes office has always been responsive in assisting me with setting up follow up imaging and blood work. At the beginning I had many questions and concerns and Dr. Canes took the time to answer everything. I put my life in Dr. Canes hands 10 years ago and it was my best decision.
Dr. Canes could not be more professional and caring. He is highly skilled surgeon who is proficient in using the latest robotic technology. I have just reached the milestone of being cancer free for five years. I recommend him highly.
Dr. Canes performed a partial nephrectomy on my right kidney (removal of a small tumor which later proved to be benign) in January 2023. Prior to consultation, he provided links to videos and articles which were immensely helpful in explaining what had been a recent and surprising diagnosis. In our first meeting, Dr. Canes was personable and took the time to answer all my questions and anticipated some that I hadn't thought to ask. Within a month, he performed robotic, minimally invasive surgery which completely removed the tumor. I would like to add that his team in surgery and the staff at Lahey pre- and post-surgery were excellent with everyone on the same page and consistent in care through shift changes. I spent one night in the hospital and was released about 24 hours after the operation which seemed just right to me, as mobility was not a concern. Two days after surgery I did not feel the need for the prescribed pain medication and within a week felt back to normal while observing the directive to rest and avoid heavy lifting/strenuous exercise for several weeks.
I recommend Dr.Canes, absolutely brilliant guidance getting me through prostate cancer. I was very lucky to have him as my Urologist.
I met Dr Canes in October 2022 after a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Dr Canes recommended removal. Pre Op with Dr Canes was thorough and complete, he answered every question and concern I had. He makes you feel at ease, sent videos/animations of the surgery explaining everything you need to do to prepare for the procedure. I had to wait 3 months for the surgery, but Dr Canes made me feel confident that the cancer was in the prostate and hadn't spread. Successful removal January 11, little to no repercussions, back at the gym in 4 weeks. Met with Dr Canes a few days ago, PSA .02, go from every three months to 6 months. Dr Canes is down to earth, never talks like he is smarter than you, and doesn't leave the appointment until you are done and satisfied, something I'm not used to in the medical field.
I am not a person who likes to see a doctor or go to a hospital. Unfortunately, I had a tumor on my right kidney and half my kidney had to be removed. My sister who is a retired nurse did extensive research to find me a surgeon who would be best for my surgery and care. I made an appointment to see Dr. David Canes at Lahey Hospital Burlington. During the visit he explained every facet of the surgery. I left there feeling confident. My surgery was a great success. Dr. Canes followed through with me during my stay in the hospital and followed up with me at home I had very little discomfort and recovered quickly with only having to take Tylenol. I recommend Dr. Canes to anyone who is in search of a great urology surgeon. Kevin Regan I am not a person who likes to see a doctor or go to a hospital. From the very beginning of diagnosis to final surgery there was never a moment that I did not feel vulnerable or threatened by this cancer. Dr Cane and his staff reassured me along the many months of preparation their training and procedures would produce the best results. Nothing is guaranteed in life but his team was above the challenge and there is no doubt in my mind this is a very unique and highly professional group of individuals. I can only feel blessed to have them help me through this life changing challenge. Thank you all. I do not have enough words to express my appreciation and gratitude for Dr Canes’ excellent care I received as a patient for my health ailment. He is an excellent surgeon and a caring human being, a rare combination now days.
very detailed in explaining your case and shows great expertise in his medical field of practice!
September 29th, I had prostate surgery at the Lahey Hospital. Dr.David Canes performed my surgery, a total success! He explained the process before hand, did exactly what he said he would do. His staff was there after my procedure to explain my recovery. They are the most wonderful doctors I have been involved with, bar none. As polite and helpful as could be! I would recommend the to all who have an issue. From admittance to leaving the entire Lahey staff was there for me at any request! Thank you Dr. Canes, I am now cancer free!!! What a wonderful feeling. I would surely recommend him and his staff.
Dr. Canes has a very caring bedside manner, is extremely knowledgeable, and made my husband (and myself) feel my husband was in the best care possible. Getting a diagnosis of having prostrate cancer is not easy for the patient nor the family of the patient but Dr. Canes made us feel more and more comfortable before, during and after my husbands surgery. Dr. Canes is honest, down to earth, caring and he took his time to answer all of our questions. We would recommend Dr. Canes to anyone that needs his expertise. He truly is amazing. Thank you very much Dr. Canes!
Dr. Canes is an outstanding physician, extremely competent and kind. If you have any nervousness about seeing a urologist then you should see Dr. Canes. He will put you at ease and remove any doubts you may have about how he will treat your condition. I had large kidney stones removed by him and I had no pain at all. I recently had a cystoscopy done by him and again, no pain and a very thorough procedure.
In early June 2021, a prostate biopsy confirmed that I had localized prostate cancer, gleason 9. I had to choose radiation or surgery. Being a medical professional, a doctor myself, I consulted with radiologists, surgeons & oncologists. I was most impressed with Dr. David Canes, a surgeon at Lahey Urology. He was comfortable to be with, explained, answered questions, had done a vast number of these surgeries, great patient reviews & recommended by his peers. My surgery was in August at Parkland Medical Center in Derry NH, which I recommend. When it comes to a caring bedside manner, Dr. Canes has it in spades. Of all of his attributes, surgical skill is most important. My surgery went extremely well. He was able to save the nerves, no incontinence, erections returning. The biopsy showed stage 2, gleason 9, but self contained, no lymph node involvement, clean surgical margins. The best possible news! Excellent surgeon! I will be forever grateful, & recommend him without hesitation.
highly recommend
Dr. Canes performed a robotic prostatectomy to remove my extremely enlarged prostate gland. He was very thorough and responsive to my questions when explaining my surgery options. He was friendly and positive in all my interactions with him. I knew he was looking out for my best interests. The surgery was a complete success and he was great with the aftercare and explaining the results. He is a consummate professional and obviously loves his work. The surgery dramatically improved my quality of life. Anyone should feel privileged to have him as their surgeon.
I give Dr. Canes my highest recommendation. In addition to being an extremely experienced surgeon, he is informative, friendly, and demonstrates a genuine interest in his patients' care.
I met Dr canes and his staff after I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late 2019 by Lahey medical. His staff made my wife and I very comfortable with all the steps we were to take up to surgery and all my follow ups after. The nurses at his office were very prompt in returning calls and answering questions as well although some of the questions were quite personal to me they handled them with ease. My wife and I researched who we wanted to do the procedure and where as well and Dr Canes was my only choice. Very professional , knowledgeable and easy to talk too. We made the right decision on Dr Canes and his expertise on robotic surgery. Highly recommend. thank you
Dr Canes performed simple robotic prostatectomy to relieve urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate I’ve suffered from for years. I felt prepared for the procedure by clear descriptions provided by Dr Canes and on his website videos. Indeed, despite discomfort in the week following surgery primarily from my catheter, I experienced measurably improved urinary function in a few weeks. The nursing staff of Lahey Urology at Parkland was caring and efficient throughout the treatment. I am pleased and comfortable with the results.
I was diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer in April 2021. I met with multiple surgeons and decided to have Dr Canes perform the prostatectomy. I chose Dr. Canes due to the recommendation by my PCP, excellent reviews by others, and the fact that he’s performed over 2000 prostatectomies. I had prostate surgery in June 2021. Dr. Canes also repaired my umbilical hernia at the same time. I stayed one night in the hospital. My pain level was very manageable. Two weeks after the surgery, I had control of my bladder during the day and a little leakage at night. After two months, I had full control of my bladder with no leakage and my PSA results showed zero cancer I am very grateful to Dr. Canes for the excellent outcome and wonderful care I received from him and his team. Thank you Dr. Canes.
I was referred to Dr. Cannes in February 2021 after a prostate cancer diagnosis. He instilled confidence in me through his experience, depth of knowledge, and resources made available to help me understand my diagnosis, treatment options, and outcome probabilities. His web-based resources are outstanding in their description o robotic-assisted surgery. The level of care provided by Dr. Cannes and his staff before, during, and after surgery were compassionate and of the highest quality.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March of 2021. A month later Dr. Canes performed a robotic prostatectomy on me at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. I have made a quick recovery and am extremely pleased with the outcome. Dr. Canes and staff were both caring and informative from my initial diagnosis to my post-op appointments. The staff at Parkland was excellent also. I highly recommend consulting with Dr. Canes if one has been diagnosed as having prostate cancer.
I meat Dr Canes and is was the best decision that l have make his pasión to talk about what he does the best was one of the most incredible moments the way he explained everything the robotic surgery which he’s proud about make you think in he’s confidentiality on the surgery to me he is the in feel no dough about it May God blessings him and continues to provide him with all the strength necessary to continue helping peoples God him and his stuff they are the best. Thank very much for the surgery. Amable
I had a robotic partial kidney nephrectomy. Doctor Canes and his staff provided me with excellent care and support from the first day we had a conversation to my post-op. His bedside manner was fantastic and he made me feel comfortable and relaxed before and after my surgery. I highly recommend him. Thank you Doctor Canes.
Dr. Canes and his team provided me with superior care from my initial diagnosis through my post- operative check-ups. My recovery has been rapid. Dr. Canes provided me with all the time needed to answer all my questions; his manner inspires confidence. All the staff in his office were compassionate, pleasant, and professional. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.
Great physician! Dr. Canes has the best of all qualities needed to be a super doc! He is extremely knowledgeable, talented with a compassionate but very professional manor. One of the best I've around!
Dr Canes performed a robotic prostatectomy on me. The recovery has been rapid, and the care and attention I received from Dr Canes and his team were amazing. He came highly recommended and I know why. It is now my turn to highly recommend him.
Dr. Canes and his team provided me with superior care from my initial diagnosis through my post- operative check-ups. Even with the additional challenges of dealing with my cancer in the COVID-19 environment, Dr. Canes thoroughly explained my diagnosis, my options and what to expect from the surgery and post-op results. The Lahey Urology staff was professional and informative, explaining all of the tests and procedures and answering all of my questions. The Parkland Hospital team took excellent care of me from admission to my discharge; they were attentive and caring, providing encouragement and keeping me informed about my progress. Dr. Canes was able to layout my treatment so there were no surprises and did a great job of providing my treatment plan and allaying my fears. His confidence in his medical skills gave me a great sense of hope with which to face a tough situation. I would highly recommend Dr. Canes and his team to any patient facing this challenge.
Simply the best. I had radical robotic prostatectomy. Recovery was swift, continence returned fully within 6 weeks. Erectile function nil, but sex and great orgasms perfectly possible with use of vacuum device. I'm cancer free, pee like a teenager, and don't have to worry about erections. What's not to love? Canes and his staff at Lahey were terrific.
I had to have one of my kidneys removed because of a cancerous mass contained within the kidney. Dr. Canes used a combination of laparoscopic and robotic surgery to perform the operation, which was completed successfully with these minimally invasive techniques. After surgery, I was able to leave the hospital the following day and within two weeks was feeling back to normal without any pain or side effects. Truly amazed to feel so good so quick. I would like to thank Dr. Canes and the other staff at the Lahey facility in Burlington for the their wonderful support. The recovery personnel were great during my stay.
Dr Canes performed my first biopsy, which was negative after my PSA went 4.6. The next year it went to 5.4, so Dr Canes recommended an MRI, which led to the biopsy that found my small 3+4 tumor. After research, I asked Dr Canes to remove my prostate, because I was told the he was the best. He is! I had no pain after the surgery and was up and walking that evening. 5 months later I am experiencing close to full continence and seeing progressive results with ED, and undetectable levels of PSA. On August 20th I learned that I had cancer. Less than a month later, on September 10th I was cancer free. Thank you Dr Canes!!
Dr. Canes did a great job explaining the treatment options for my prostate cancer. I chose surgery which took place in October 2019. My PSA since that date is 0. I had varying degrees of expected urinary incontinence for about 10-12 months for which Dr. Canes and his staff did a good job preparing me and helping me address. This has now gone away. I am still dealing with some erectile dysfunction but Dr. Canes referred me to a specialist and I am seeing improvement here. Bottom line, I found Dr. Canes to be both a good surgeon and a good guy and I would heartily recommend him to anyone seeking solutions for prostate cancer.
Dr. Canes removed my cancerous prostate on 10/26/2020. He and his associates took an abundance of time time to thoroughly inform me of what to expect before, during, and after surgery. Post op has gone very well with regard to pain management, healing, urination control, and "getting back to a normal life". Six to eight weeks after surgery I've returned to playing Pickleball (3 x week), golfing, and regular exercise. I expect to be back to cycling in another six (6) weeks. The robotic prostatectomy is a major surgical procedure. Dr. Canes, having performed thousands of them, made the entire journey as pleasant as could be expected. Without any reservations, I would not hesitate to highly recommend seeking his help should one need to address cancer in the prostate.
Best Doctor (surgeon) ever. Took an unknown problem before surgery, identified the issue when he went in and corrected it. I am pain free. Keep up the good work.
Dr. Canes performed a radical prostatectomy on me in September 2020. I was 59 at the time, with a Gleason score of 7. I could not have been more pleased with the care and attention I received at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. I was concerned about Parkland's reputation, but I could not have been more wrong. The care I received was first rate, and the procedure got all of the cancer without the need for any follow on treatment. No matter what it's no day at the beach, but if anyone ever asks me where to go and who to trust, it's Dr. Canes and Parkland Medical Center.
Dr. Canes performed a radical prostatectomy (removed my prostate) due to prostate cancer. First, and most importantly, he was successful, in that the operation was a 100% success. Pain was minimal (I flushed the pain pills down the toilet after the second day home). Eight weeks out the small scars are still evident, but they are minimal. I am wearing a pad, but it is mostly unneeded. I was off a diaper after the first week. Just got my 8 week PSA back and it was basically 0. Hurray! Dr. Canes was informative about the process, and alternatives, giving me enough information that I could make an informed decision to proceed with this alternative (versus radiation, etc). I was skeptical, looking for an alternative way of ridding myself of the cancer, but he made me a believer. I am glad I chose this avenue, and am happy that he was the surgeon.
I recently worked with Dr. Canes after being diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer. I was given a 7 Gleason score and at the age of 55 and in good shape, Dr. Canes recommended a Radical Robotic Prostratectomy. Dr. Canes prepared us for the surgery with detailed videos of the procedure and how it would be performed. We had open and honest conversations about what to expect and how the recovery would go. We appreciated his approach and felt very confident going into the surgery. The surgery went very well and the recovery took a few weeks before I was feeling normal again. Dr. Canes gave us a detailed review of how the surgery went and what he did. Dr. Cane is a top notch surgeon, very professional. We had done some research prior to having the surgery and we received glowing recommendations from everyone we contacted. We just had our 3 month post surgery visit and our PSA was non-detectable! We couldn't be happier with our result. From beginning to end our experience has been outstanding.
I had interviewed several surgeons and Dr. Canes Was head and shoulders above the rest. He provided a concise, understandable synopsis of my condition and an innovative, up to date way of approaching the cure. Dr. Canes saved nerves that would’ve otherwise been removed by other surgeons. His approach is honest, confident and very assuring. As a bonus Dr. canes plays a mean guitar.
When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer my doctor immediately recommended Dr. David Canes & Parkland Hospital for my treatment. The first time that my wife & I met with Dr. Canes I could not believe how much care & compassion we were given. We had hundreds of questions (many I'm sure crazy), but each question was answered calmly and in a language we could understand. When it was decided that surgery would be my best option Dr. Canes took more time explaining the robotic surgery & aftercare I would need. When I went to Parkland Hospital for my pre-op appointments I had another surprise. I could not believe the kindness & compassion of each and every hospital employee I dealt with. My surgery went off without a hitch. All cancer was contained in the prostate & my first post-op PSA was zero! Thank you Dr. Canes and staff for making a difficult situation so uneventful. I would highly recommend Dr. Canes & staff.
Nov'18 I was shocked at 68 after a positive biopsy (Gleason 4+3). My fiancee & I researched pros/cons of treatments when she discovered web content by Dr's favoring no treatments and continue monitoring PSA levels. With my test results and conversations with my excellent primary DR, we scheduled several exploratory sessions and prepared "many" questions. Two decisions we wrestled with: Select treatments?, and , if yes, Is radiation or surgery best for me? EVERY Lahey person was impressive and patient answering all questions. We independently agreed treatment made sense and chose Dr Canes to perform a radical robotic prostatectomy Jan'19. Dr Canes made us feel confident with his experience and provided a practical vision what to expect during/after my surgery. He demonstrated a unique sincere passion for his work, plus, keeps abreast of future trends and technologies for prostate cancer. Gave me confidence! Since Jan'19 (3 PSAs), I remain cancer free. Thank you Dr Canes & Staff!
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer In January 2020. Dr. Canes performed a radical robotic prostatectomy in March. The results were fantastic! He was able to remove all the cancer and spare most of the nerves. As a result, I do not have an incontinence issue and expect to be functioning normally sexually in the very near future. I can not thank Dr. Canes enough for all that he has done. He took the time to explain everything in great detail so that I understood the entire process. He gave me a tremendous comfort level during the most difficult time of my life. Simply put Dr. Canes is an amazing surgeon who is extremely compassionate. I put my life in his hands. It was one of the best decision I have ever made. Thank you Dr. Canes. You are the best!
I was referred to Dr Canes after prostate cancer diagnosis via PSA score + biopsy. He patiently and compassionately explained treatment options, benefits/risk and range of possible outcomes. He scheduled me for laparoscopic removal of prostate promptly at Lahey Hospital, Burlington. I am grateful that this was completed in mid-February 2020, prior to the Covid-19. When he told me he has done this operation probably well over 1000 times (if I recall correctly), I was reassured that he would be capable of dealing with any complications encountered during the operation and recovery. He was knowledgeable in new treatment approaches and developments in the standard of care. He mentioned that he also performs even more complicated and lengthy operations. Fortunately there have been no complications at ~7 weeks out. I found him very easy to talk with. I am confident in his skills, judgement and work ethic. Would go to Dr Canes for any procedure in future. Lahey staff all super!
We consulted with Dr. Canes when my husband learned he had advanced prostate cancer. We had an excellent consultation with him as he explained my husband’s diagnosis and why surgery was strongly recommended. We scheduled the surgery with him in October 2019. He met with me immediately following my husband’s surgery and was very reassuring regarding the outcome. My husband made a full recovery and continues to have excellent PSA results. We could not be more pleased. Having worked in healthcare for the past 35 years, we highly recommend this accomplished and thoughtful surgeon. We are most grateful for his expertise.
Exceptionally excellent
Cant say enough about Dr Canes care, I had stage 3 prosate cancer he walked me thru every step of my procedure with great care and professialism. The operate couldn't of have gone any better I was up and going after only a few days with little side effects . Iam 2 years cancer free and could not recommend Dr. Cane enough.
I went to see Dr. Canes on a second opinion for Prostate cancer. Dr. Canes had such a calming effect on me the way he explained my condition and the process of surgery and treatment left me feeling relieved and confident I made the right choice going to see him. Dr. Canes and his team at Parkland were amazing. They are a caring and professional team top to bottom. My surgery went great and seven weeks later I am doing fine. No incontinence issues at all from day one Dr. Canes did an amazing job
On 12/2/19 I learned a right tumor on my right kidney subsisted. (a day I will soon not forget) A professional colleague (and a friend) (and former patient) recommended I reach out to Dr. David Cane for a 2nd opinion regardless the 1st opinion I might get in Maine. I met Dr. Cane for the first time on 1/1/20, then on 1/8/20, and then on 1/29/20 wherein Dr. Cane performed surgery to remove the tumor. I am 56 yrs old and still have both functioning kidneys, thankfully, due to Dr. Canes work. On 2/5/20 Dr. Cane called me to tell me the tumor he removed was cancerous but because he removed it I would/should be fine. My next visit with Dr. Cane is set to take place on 8/7/20 where a follow up Ct Scan will be done to confirm I am ok, and should be ok moving forward. (simply will need five years bi-annual scanning moving forward) Summary: Don't call anyone other than Dr. David Cane if you need applicable medical care
After receiving an elevated PSA score I was referred to Dr. Canes. After additional testing that included a biopsy and checking to see if the cancer had spread to the kidneys or bones we explore treatment options. After consultation with a Radiation Oncologist it was determined that surgery was the best option. My obesity presented challenges to them during surgery but came out of it well and without surgical pain. He is excellent to talk to, explains tings well and listens to concerns.I do not think that there was a better choice for my treatment other than Dr. Canes.
Dr. Canes is an expert in his field period! His approach to educate the patient on their diagnosis, the approaches available to address the diagnosis with 'scientific facts' and compassion for his patients well being is admirable. Not withstanding are his skills in his field of urology unique talents in surgery, focused on the best outcome of his patients, and yes, I am one of them. This man took me in his care through what was a scary diagnosis. Through his expertise and exceptional care (both he and his staff), I am on the road to complete recovery in addition to being confident that I am in the best care possible. Prior to meeting Dr. Canes, I had been to other Urologist Dr.'s and needless to say, the skills, thoroughness and confidence Dr. Canes brings to his practice are by far 'best in care, best in class'. If you are in need of Urology care, surgery and want the best, I'd recommend you seek out Dr. Canes for consult. A grateful patient, Steve M.
Dr. Canes brilliantly led a most professional team of Urologists when treating my bladder cancer. Along with his surgery partner, Dr. Sorcini, I simply could not have been in better hands.
I was referred to Dr. Canes after a CT scan detected a tumor on my left kidney. At 29 years old this came as a shock. Dr. Canes did a terrific job in explaining the diagnosis and talking me through what the procedure was going to entail. He took great care and was very thoughtful and answering any and all questions my family and I had. At no point did we ever feel rushed. He was extremely detailed and put us at ease prior to surgery. Surgery itself was equally as successful. Dr. Canes and his team were able to successfully remove my left kidney and tumor with no complications following surgery. He was great at communicating my recovery time and it was easy to follow up with him after surgery.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I was referred to Dr Canes and it was the best referral ever. During our initial visit he quickly set me at ease with his confidence and demeanor. He explained the surgery and what complications I could possibly expect. I left the office knowing he was the surgeon for me. Because of Dr Canes knowledge and skill my surgery went smoothly, he told me I made him work hard that day though. I was up walking the halls of the hospital five hours after surgery, and I was discharged the next day. I didn't have any of the possible complications, I attribute this to his skill. I received a call from Dr Canes a couple days after surgery with the pathology report. He told me he wanted to give me my results personally. I highly recommend Dr Canes
I recently had my right ureter injured during colon surgery. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Canes. We had to travel but It was well worth it. Dr. Canes expertise was able to repair my ureter robotically. Dr. Canes is very kind and compassionate and explains conditions very well. I highly recommend Dr. Canes.
I was very fortunate to be referred to Dr. Canes in his Derry NH office. At my initial visit, he explained that I needed my right kidney removed due a mass inside. Within minutes, Dr. Canes and his staff arranged for me to have robotic surgery at Parkland Medical Center in three days! I also could not have received better care than at Parkland. The staff there are A+!! From beginning to end, Dr. Canes provided the highest quality care. His bedside manner is flawless. He provided a detailed explanation of the surgery to me and my family. He also welcomed questions and ensured all were answered thoroughly. In my follow up appointment, I was treated promptly and respectfully by Dr. Canes and his staff. The overall experience was life changing. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Canes. He is a truly gifted surgeon and a genuinely caring, kind and respectful person. It was a blessing to be in his care. Jackie T - Litchfield NH.
I recently had Dr. Canes remove a tumor of clear cell carcinoma robotically from my kidney. He is an expert. Plus, he is kind and explains so that a lay person can understand. We had to travel a bit to benefit from his expertise and caring and it was well worth the trip. Lahey at Burlington is a teaching hospital and I was pleased with the thought that if I had to go through all this ordeal, perhaps future doctors were learning and benefitting.
Dr Canes is a fantastic doctor and surgeon! He saved my life!
I was fortunate enough to have Dr Canes remove my prostate via nerve sparing Robotic Assisted Lathroscopic Prostectamy surgery on 6/25/19. While prostate cancer isn't something anyone wants to face, having a great surgeon and outstanding urological team makes all the difference. I highly recommend Dr Canes and the urological team at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, MA. He and the whole team there are very experienced, competent, direct, trustworthy, progressive, and confident. Dr Canes did an outstanding job with my surgery and I credit him for a recovery that has gone much better than expected. Post surgical blood test at 6 weeks is negative for any sign of cancer. Great experience, support, and most importantly results!
I am a 57 year old man who presented with a PSA of 5.4 and no other symptoms. Dr.Canes proceeded with an MRI, biopsy and I chose radical prose to you. I had stage 3 cancer with 70% of my prostate filled with cancer. Dr.Canes spared all my nerves and 6 weeks post op no pain, back to work, full functionality and no urinary leakage and my PSA is undetectable. Dr.Canes is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him. Regards Joe M
