Absolutely great Dr.! Smart caring , brilliant surgeon . I had a total hip replacement recently .. easy recovery ..no issues .. couldn’t be more pleased. My surgery was as a result of a fall so no planning involved ..I feel so very fortunate Dr Doherty must have been on call. Couldn’t have asked for a better Dr. if I had done months of research. My new hip is perfect .. no restrictions smooth recovery complete use .. Back to normal Thank you Dr Doherty for putting me back together

Dr. Doherty is the real deal. I have never had smoother more professional surgery in my life. He replaced my Right hip back during the last week of November 2022. January 2023, I have played numerous rounds of golf and am now getting my tennis swing back in line. From day one he and his staff have been excellent with their preparation, care and compassion.

I've had many orthopedic Drs. in my lifetime. Dr Doherty has been the best. He treated my broken knee cap. Months later I fell and broke my femur. Same side of hip replacement I had in 99. He fixed me up I'm 7 months post op. I am really satisfied with Dr Doherty he takes the time to listen and explain everything. His staff at Memorial Hermann in Sugarland are the best. Dr. Doherty is a very caring , professional Orthopedic Dr. I was referred to him by a fellow Dr. and I'm so glad he did . Before coming to him I had terrible knee pain , and didn't want to have a knee replacement. Dr. Doherty went over my options with me , he did not rush into coercing me to get a knee replacement done . I chose to get injections which helped for awhile , but my knee was the big boss , and I got it done . He did a wonderful job on my knee , now I'm the big boss : ) I am very glad to have Dr. Doherty as my Orthopedic Doctor . Being a retired Nurse Practitioner, I never thought I would experience the ideal physician, clinic, hospital situation in my life time but then I was referred to Dr. David Doherty for hip replacement surgery. The entire process from making appointments, the actual appointment, the pre op experience, the actual surgery, and recovery was everything that I have always felt was how things should really work. Everything ran on schedule/time, the staff was friendly and informative, and most importantly Dr. Doherty spent as much time answering questions and explaining the plan and results as I needed.This truly restored my faith in the medical/hospital community working with the patient for the best outcome. To have a physician so knowledgeable and skilled but so open to connecting with the patient was a true honor. I waited over 10 years to finally have knee surgery and trust someone to take care of this painful situation with genuine care and professionalism. Well.....I can tell you I found that in Dr. David Doherty and his staff. He is well respected in his field and in the community. After my consultation with Dr. Doherty I felt comfortable with allowing him to handle my surgery and help me lead a normal life again. From the time of my surgery until being released to normal duties was only weeks! Yes.......just six weeks with great healing and a great range of motion. Mostly I am so appreciative not to have a need for pain medication!!! I am so happy and my life has changed for the better by not constantly being in pain. I have already referred Dr. Doherty to friends and look forward to them receiving the same quality of relief!
