Dr Herrick is fine but his office is run poorly! They are never on time and when you complain to the Physician assistants they tell you to find another Dr.

I have chronic back pain after two operations. After going through the protocols, Dr. Herrick implanted an electronic stimulator in my lower back. I'm not completely pain free, but this allows me to have more mobility than ever before. I am so thankful for him and his staff. They are all great!

My 63 year old mother visited Dr. Herrick for pain management recently. He gave her 3 or 4 shots in her neck with a thick needle that was about the length of a four finger or longer without offering her any anesthesia! The injections went in slowly so she felt pain for a lengthy period of time. She cried and wailed very loudly and consistently while this occurred. She said he told her to be quiet because she would scare away his other clients. I walked into the office and immediately recognized her voice and demanded to see her. When my mom came out she was humped over and crying profusely as if she had been physically abused. I was furious. She said the pain of the shots was truly extreme and she told him and he just looked at her as she cried loudly. She has had many shots and NEVER has this happened. She kept asking me "why would he do me like that "? She was very distraught and physically hurt. Later she told me his demeanor was inconsiderate, rude and unconcerned.

Dr Herrick has been a specialist in pain management for years. He is very capable and compassionate. He does an excellent job with injections to decrease inflammation and pain.

He is professional, he has a good attitude towards his patients, he is very respectable he's concerned about his patients health. Dr. Herrick is very compassion. I'm well satisfied with his service.

I have been going to CFP for years. I have major neck problems with muscle and nerve damage. Dr Herrick does all the procedures that I have on my neck. I see him every 6 months for an Ablation and he also does epidurals on me. He is so wonderful! He is so compassionate and sweet! I highly recommend him!!

One of the most caring doctors you’ll ever meet. He always listens to his patients. Right after my husband passed my sons was very concerned about me getting the injections in my neck and lower back. Dr. Herrick saved my life and dignity. I was in excruciating pain & limited to a wheelchair years after multiple surgeries. He listened patiently, formulated a plan of care which he clearly explained to me (& my husband), &compassionately gave me hope. He is managing my pain well, I’m able to walk (with a cane),& have quality of life. I thank God for Dr. Herrick and can recommend him for pain management and procedures.

Dr. Herrick is amazing. I was seeing another Doctor before him and the experience with Dr. Herrick far exceeds my expectations. I felt safe, comfortable, and secure. He talked me through the whole procedure and he was gentle. The spine is a scary place to have needles and he made me calm. For the last year I have questioned my previous Doctor integrity. Our visit was professional with the office staff and nurses being well organized and pleasant. Dr. Herrick was caring and understanding about my back issues.

Herrick is ok but Dr. Katz, his business partner, is absolutely the least professional, least caring doctor I've ever dealt with. Short little man with a giant ego...even for a doctor. Do not put your health in this man's hands.

This doctor staff is very rude my insurance will not cover the pain patch and have been in the bed in alot of pain since Thursday and it's Monday and can not get no one to return my call I will not recommend this doctor to any other person and he should be took to the medical board and not allow to practice in Alabama

I went to see Dr Herrick I'm retired and have been on Medicare for 7 yrs now I was referred to pain Management 1st visit I had to take a drug test with staff watching me I was ok with that my next visit was scheduled by staff 3 weeks later so I was out of meds during this time finally go back to see him passed my drug test but then he says to get my blood pressure under control and come back in 3 weeks I asked him to refill my meds that had ran out he didn't instead he scheduled me for a MRI ,stress test,etc that was rediculous I'm in pain been approved for dissability 7 yrs ago for my back and legs but he hasn't gave me any pain meds at all all I got from Dr Herrick was a BILL......around 500.00 for visiting his office at least I did get another MRI ,stress test and a few more.I wouldn't refer anyone to him for pain ..I may fefer him to someone if they like running around town getting all there test done in pain.. Dr David didn't listen to me or couldn't discern my bodies pain need as i told him of my 30 yr.left and 20 yr. Old right knee major operations, which both doctors said were NOT permenat solutions,and instead sent me to have an MRI,cost 325.oo out of my pocket because he didn't check to see if my blue cross covered it or not, on my back! He also is an member of the say the right thing club for scripts and if you have a history he wants to give you a patch. To me that would only lead me to addiction. The sad reality is this man who calls himself a doctor is an insider with what has evolved into an Alabama medical maffia. These doctors control the state medical board. These doctors use fear and intimidation on other doctors not in their club by wielding the power to threaten to have them sanctioned, or prosicuted for prescribing pain medication to chronic pain sufferers. The end result is the complete and total devastation of legitamate patients with chronic pain who have either lost, or will be losing the prescriptiion medications that have provided for them the relief from pain they require to maintain a modicum of quality of life. This tactic of course provides this new medical maffia with a monopoly to profit off the new Federal war on opiates to grow their personal practices into their own state sanctioned factories where their patients are managed like cattle on an assembly line. Cattle that live in fear that they might lose their pain medication if they complain about the lack of quality in the care they receive. In my opinion, a doctor's staff reflects heavily on the doctor. The staff at the Montgomery South location were unprofessional and rude. I do not feel that adequate attention and patient care was given to my husband when he had a reaction to a procedure performed. My complaint to the office manager/clinical director was all but dismissed. . We were not given an after-hour phone number and had no way of contacting the doctor who preformed the procedure when something went wrong. The responsibility of a complication should not be on the ER when the performing doctor's office is open. The quality of care received was terrible. I would like to say that everytime that I have gone to Dr Herrick, he has been more than marvelous. He pays attention to just where he is putting the great healer into my back or knee's. The first time that I went to him he shot me in the back and they called me after it had been only a week and a half and I told them that the pain was 95% gone and that is when they told me to come back. While I was there I asked him if he shot the knee's. And He expressed an opinion that I really liked. He told me to set up an appointment in a month and I did and it was great. Pain is a tough business. Everyone has different levels of it and everyone wants it to go away. I have been seeing Dr. Herrick for over 5 years. He is not only an artist at his trait, he is eager to help each patient he sees. I read the negative reviews and have to wonder if they just didn't get what they expected vs. what they needed. I am not pain free, but I am able to manage the pain of multiple back surgeries due to his help, and foremost, guidance. I can't put myself in other people position so it's understandable that making all people happy all the time is simply inconceivable. In my opinion, the staff is unprofessional and rude. An after-hour line was not given to us post-procedure. If the office is open you are expected to go to the ER for any adverse reaction caused by their procedure. Further, formal complaints regarding the staff made to the clinical director are not taken seriously. Having a procedure at this office was an unfortunate mistake but the mistakes of staff reflect on the doctor. Quality of patient care was not enough for me to ever recommend.

David Herrick is not much of a doctor! He will lie to you, bully you, and come into the room without looking at your chart. He is more worried about how he looks to those that inspect his records than about his patients. to him you are simply put a source of revenue. Not only did he do all this he kept me on narcotics when from the first time a saw him he should have helped me off which my current doc has done. again you are only a source of income!
