The wait times are ridiculous! Almost 2 hours! This was the fourth time I waited over a hour. My next appt. is with someone new!

I needed an endocrinologist for type one diabetes. I scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Shewmon. He entered the room (45 min late) and asked how urgent this was. I said I just needed a new doc for my diabetes prescriptions. He then said he was angry at the nurse for scheduling a "non-urgent" appointment during his lunch time. He rushed through our appointment and told me to come back a time another time for a more detailed discussion. I will never go back and would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Shewmon is professional and caring. He listens to what I have to say, treats me with respect and works with me as a team. He gives excellent instructions on how I can continue to improve my life and, as a result, my weight and labs are good and I am healthy. When I use his recipes that he generously shares, I have energy and feel good overall. I have been seeing Dr. Shewmon for about six years and I drive over an hour each way. He is definitely worth the effort!

Dr Shewmon is a kind, very knowledgeable expert in the fields listed. My experience with him has been the most thorough and informative exam I have had pertinent to the health concerns I am experiencing. Highly recommend him.

I waited more than an hour after my scheduled appointment time just to get into an exam room, and then waited another 30 minutes to be seen. No apology or explanation by anyone. He was rude and didn't even listen to me. He interrupted frequently and when I tried to explain symptoms, he said, "I'm not buying that". He ignored the reason for my appointment and instead lectured me about other medications I was taking and how I should stop taking them. I would never go back, nor recommend him.

Had a 9:20 appointment, it is 10:32 and he has still not seen me!
