Dr. David Tesser

Don’t go to he’s office. He’s a fraud. After accepting the payment from two insurances. He send me to collection for $17000. Never informed me that he didn’t accept our insurances. Be careful

Excellent surgeon

Tesser did a great job with my sons ear /cartilage tear. I was told he took our insurance and keep getting billed $12,500 . Very unhappy about Lying about taking our insurance in an emergency situation and then post billing procedures

A caring doctor who saw my husband on an emergency basis. We were so grateful that he took care of my husband's hand. We only met one member of his office staff, but she was very pleasant and efficient as well.

Dr Tesser charged me over $25,000 for a procedure lasting less less than ten minutes. This was in the ER. There were two principle cuts on my forehead and nose. There was no information provided about the EXTREME costs. And now, one year later, the scars are becoming only increasingly evident. I am happy to send pictures. We saw Dr Tesser at the Long Beach South Nassau Emergency Dept two weeks ago..he was very patient with my 9yo son who needed stitches on his elbow. Answered all of our questions and was super nice. We visited his office 2 times for follow ups, it’s a beautiful office, and he was still just as nice. He even called me back himself when i had a billing question. Flawless facial sutures two times to my daughter and an the amazing ability to soothe this mommy's frazzled nerves. Both incidents Dr. Tesser met us at South Nassau Hospital and you can easily see how respected he is by the staff. Not that anyone wants to ever need stitches, but if you do, highly recommend Dr. Tesser!

I would recommend any of family relatives or close friends to see this doctor! He is a great plastic surgeon, on top of being a great guy, who cares. ??

Terrible Doctor. Went to South Shore Community hospital for fourteen stitches for two fingers open wound. He send the Claim to insurance company for $27,500. Some of the service he never provided. Call the doctor and his wife threatened me she is a lawyer. You better pay the bill. Please stop going to South Shore Community hospital to get help. Terrible hospital hired terrible doctor. wonderful, caring doctor!

I only called like 3 or 4 different times To make an appointment. The 1st time Tasser called back very nasty then told me call back. I called two times left messages. He calls me back. Angrily and screams that he already told me call back only on Mondays and Tuesdays with hours only in the morning (who does that??) After he yelled at me we presented to argue so I hung up on his unprofessional ass. He's disgusting. Then texts me that I shouldn't call him. I definitely had some choice words I won't repeat. He sucks. Go to Dr. Silberman in Great neck. He's expensive but waaaay more professional. Screw this A$?t%^%. Never getting my money... Dr. Tesser charged my husband close to $8000 for stitches in the ER at South Nassau Communities Hospital and then charged us as an out of network doctor in the summer of 2013. Originally he billed us for $3500, which we inquired to the legality of with the NYS Attorney General's Office. Unfortunately due to NYS health insurance laws with our insurance company as a privately insurance policy, no action could be taken on our behalf by State. Instead of keeping the bill to $3500, it was sent to collections for close to $8k. The collections agency could not come to a settlement with Tesser as he refused to be rationale claiming he had to hire an attorney to review the STANDARD paperwork we filed with the NYS AG, therefore the newly inflated bill stood. For fear of my husband's credit record being ruined, we had no choice but to pay the fill on 3 separate credit cards. Few take aways: 1. Don't seek medical care at South Nassau Communities Hospital for the simple fact they hire dr's such Tesser. They should know and do better. 2. In June 2014 NYS passed a law requiring out of network doctor's to tell patients ahead of time of potential charges, even in the ER. The law must be visible and posted in an ER. It is only a ban-aid solution but every NYS resident should be aware of their rights. 3. Lastly, our story highlights the egregious and greedy behavior of doctors who find loop holes in the system to profit off of. While what occurred was not legally wrong, it is morally indecent. I saw Dr Tesser many years ago in Poughkeepsie NY and have nothing but great things to say. He did a phenomenal job with the stitches on my face and follow up care was amazing. I did not have any issues with over billing or anything else. I think he's a fantastic plastic surgeon and would recommend him in a second .

Dr. Tesser had put stitches in my face on two separate occasions, the first went fine however the second not so well. The second time took Tesser fifteen minutes, tops, to put the stitches in; However he has the audacity to say he deserves eleven thousand dollars for his work which we are still trying to figure out financially. Unless you yourself are on the wealthier side of life then more average families. I highly suggest consulting about the charges before you let the man anywhere near you.
