Dr. Verschueren and his entire office staff are amazing. Responsive to patients/families needs and super flexible with scheduling. Dr. Verschueren is so talented and has fantastic bedside manner.

Absolutely abhorrent treatment of an emergency extraction scheduled by the hospital. It would appear as though this office accepts no form of insurance and is self pay only. That’s a horrible business practice to begin with. They treated my wife worse than Michael Vick treats dogs. Grade A example of state insurance discrimination. This office does not accept state insurance, but this was an emergent case and they said it would be covered. They took my wife back and proceeded to abuse her and then billed us $1,800 after the fact. That’s over half my monthly income when this jackass of a quack dentist probably earns that weekly. The staff and doctor were great with my son who is deaf and has sensory issues. He had a good experience with 4 wisdom teeth pulled and did not need pain meds beyond ibuprofen. Everyone was super nice and caring when my daughter went in to have 7 teeth removed, and the process was incredibly smooth. She recovered with no problem, and the whole experience was excellent!

They saved my life. My dentist referred me to Dr. Verschueren over a spot on my tongue. He quickly assessed that I needed a biopsy, did the procedure, spoke to me in plain and honest terms about my options, and was very caring in a very trying time. The spot was cancerous, they then referred me to the best oncology team in town for what was needed. In the end, if it had not been for them, I would not be able to update this post. They were so AMAZING!! I had an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out at 11:30 and I was out of the office by 12! They were so great and comforting knowing that I was nervous about it.. I was able to have this procedure done under local and laughing gas and had no issues.. I would defently go back if I have any other dental issues.

I have to start out by saying I'm terrified of the dentist, or at least I used to be before this office. I was referred to Dr Verschueren by my local dentist for my wisdom teeth removal just before Covid hit. The consultation had to be booked 2 months out due to availability and CDC guidelines which was not an issue for me since I had not been in any pain. May comes around and I went in for my consultation and at first I was nervous because I knew what was coming: the topic of pulling said teeth which had always made me afraid of the dentist since I was a child. Dr Verschueren came in after my scans and made me feel relaxed and explained what all my options were and we made a plan for my next visit. So the day came and I was nervous because, well, I had 4 teeth being pulled. We decided the best option for me would be to take a dose of Halcion an hour before coming in (one was enough for me due to my size), use a little bit of the gas and general anesthesia. I've never used any of the 3 so of course I had my concerns but they made everything clear and understandable before coming in and called me a couple days prior to make sure we were going the route we discussed. Let me just say, if all I had was the Halcion and some of the laughing gas I probably would've been fine, but the general anesthesia made it alot easier on myself and I'm sure on them as well. Between the time we pulled in and got checked in at the desk I was back out to the car in 45min, I could not believe how quick and virtually painless the process was. My stomach was a little upset after I got home but I got out of the car a little too quickly but other than that I have no swelling, very minimal pain which has been managed by their prescribed pain medication, and I've felt like I could still be up and active like I didn't even go to the dentist this morning. I'll have to see how my recovery is looking tomorrow but I have to say, I wouldn't have wanted any other oral surgeon. Thank you to everyone at this office that made this such a painless process for me that I've out off for years. I would recommend this surgeon to anyone. I had all four wisdom teeth removed and was absolutely terrified due to previous complications with surgeries. The staff was understanding and explained everything in detail. The surgeon himself was calming and answered all of my questions. After my surgery, I was worried about dry socket and had to call the after hours number on a Saturday. He called me back within a few hours and answered my questions. Dr. Verschueren and staff were Amazing ! I called after being referred to them after taking my daughter to the Emergency room. My daughter had work done by a dentist who caused her wisdom tooth to move into her sinus. I called their office and was told to come in same day. Several weeks ago I called to see how much they want to extract a tooth because I am a senior citizen with no insurance. I was given a price quote of $365 and was told that a few days before the appointment their office manager will call me to confirm the appointment and will give me further discounts. Three days before the appointment Ashly called me to confirm the appointment and told me it will cost me over $500 but she said if you pay cash, we give you an additional 5% discount which is a discount that all tooth doctors give when you pay them cash. This discrepancy and price quote for the same tooth and same procedure makes me wonder how unreliable the tooth doctor himself is! I do not trust them and do not recommend anyone to them. Go to Portland and get an honest dentist with superior education and experience; and well trained office staff.

I had to have an emergency tooth extration and was in tremendous amounts of pain. The entire staff was incredible and within an hour I was able to be seen be the doctor and have my procedure. The staff here is truly amazing and go above and beyond in providing care to their patients!

I was very scared to get my wisdom teeth out and Dr. Versheren was great. He explained the way he'd removed them and that one had a root wrapped around a nerve. We discussed possible options and he listened to my concerns. I'm in my early 30s and had all four wisdom teeth removed. After the procedure, I had very little discomfort. I have a low tolerance for pain and know some people swell up and are in pain for weeks. The Dr did such a good job that I did not get chipmunk cheeks at all and was comfortable barely needing any pain medication. The day after surgery I had less pain than the day before surgery! I would recommend Northwest Oral & Facial Surgery and Dr. Verschueren to anyone. I have major anxiety with anything related to dental work. The staff was amazing with helping me feel comfortable and helping me stay calm. I am very pleased with the work that Dr. Verschueren did. I had an implant placed and 2 wisdom teeth removed on the same visit. I opted to have anxiety medicine to help ease my anxiety for the day of the procedure and sedation. I recently got my wisdom tooth extracted here. It was infected and Dr.V and his team were absolutely wonderful. All of my questions were answered, they were kind and patient, and the extraction went by super quickly with no issues. Can’t recommend this place enough. They were able to get me in same day. I came in here being 5 months pregnant and they took such good care of me. Dr v extracted my tooth so effortlessly that I was surprised it was all over in matters of minutes. His staff is super friendly.

Such an amazing experience! Pre-surgery I have had horrible post surgery recoveries in the past so I had moderate anxiety coming into my oral surgery (not to mention I am 24 with some decently sized wisdom teeth roots). Dr. Verschueren listened patiently to my concerns and worked with me on a plan that made me most comfortable. Post-surgery Everything went perfectly. There was no excessive damage and next to no swelling. I didn’t have to take any pain killers, just some ib profin for a couple days and I was able to get my at home work done. Dr Verschueren is exceptional and skilled, spending the time needed to explain what is going to take place and ensuring that I was as comfortable as possible before, during and after the procedure. I came here for my first appointment to look into getting an implant. They had to extract a tooth and prep it for an implant. But this was my first visit and as most of you I absolutely hate going to the dentist. I did not come to this appointment knowing all the facts which I should’ve got from my dentist. From the moment I checked in I was what I would call a “bad” patient. I did not understand the payment plan I did not understand what they were going to be doing and I was extremely grumpy to everyone I encountered there. I must’ve put them at least an hour behind schedule. I was embarrassed about my attitude but I did not care enough to try and fake being nice. Every single person I encountered there from the front desk to the billing to the assistant to the doctor, Was incredibly patient and kind no matter how bad my attitude was. I got quite worked up as you can imagine. I had to get roots extracted and my tooth prepped for an implant. And prior to this visit I knew nothing about what they were going to do. I just couldn’t believe how patient they were and no matter how many grumpy questions I asked their attitude was still very nice and they were full of compassion. So my actual appointment started two hours after my appointment but they didn’t make mention of this or anything. But the visit was fine and very painless. And The doctor was very fast. I have never encountered an office with such a compassionate staff. My second visit I encountered the same patient and understanding staff. I dealt with different people yet they all had the same great attitude. And believe me I am never in a good mood when I come to the dentist. So I have to go back for several other appointments but I am not too worried as they have educated me about the wonderful payment plan they offer (which is 0% interest free for 6 months through the Care credit card). I wasn’t even aware that there was a credit card option like Care. Since then I have been able to educate my friends and family regarding this card. It turns out that my regular dentist takes this. Wonder why no one else told me about this as I’ve been seeing the same dentist for about 15 years. Anyway...I don’t usually write reviews (this might be the first) but I just had to since I’ve nevet encountered a staff like this. Like I said I was a horrible patient the first visit. I knew I was being that way but I couldn’t help it. No matter what I was like their entire staff was always so kind. U just don’t find places and people like this very often if ever. Two years ago I had to pull a tooth out and I was so scared and nervous because I’d be without a tooth at age 19. I couldn’t decide what I was going to do, whether I was going to do an implant or bridge. I heard of Dr.Verschueren from a few different people and how great he was so I decided to schedule an appointment just to get an estimate/consultation and I knew right away that I wanted to get my implant there. The staff was so friendly, knew what they were doing and of course Dr. was so helpful and awesome and I made my decision that day. I had four wisdom teeth removed, and the 4 molars next to them. From the beginning to the end, the office, assistants, and Dr. were amazing. They worked with my dental insurance, they follow up with you, they actually treat you like a person rather than a customer. I would recommend to anyone having oral surgery.

Dr Verschueren came highly recommended by prior patients when I required a gum grafting procedure on two of my front teeth. The staff was very knowledgeable and explained the procedure in detail so I knew exactly what to expect. Dr Verschueren even called me the next day to see how my mouth was doing and I felt if I had any questions or concerns they would be taken care of right away. Great skill and service. Dr. V knows how to handle the specialty cases such as difficult extractions and implants. I am very happy with my teeth and highly recommend his work. The entire team is helpful and super attentive to details and making sure that the patient comes first.
