Awesome surgeon! Did both knees n hip. Wonderful results.

I was anticipating intense pain. I was glad that I didn't have much. We are all different. Staff treated me well and surgery went well for me. I thank God for Dr. Weimer's skills and the skills of his staff.

I had total knee replacement by Dr Weimer. Wish I hadn't waited so long. He explains everything answers all questions. The whole process from the start was amazing. He has a team of very good people. Cant waiting to do the other one. I just 2 weeks out from surgery and was ready to do the other one right away. Thank u to everyone. Had my second knee done 2 weeks ago had alot of issues with this one. I am allergic to alot of stuff skin wise. They listened to me and solved the problem right away. Still would highly recommend him to everyone. Even though the pain with this one was threw the roof. They will do anything to help u with what ever u need. Dr. Weimer was thorough and kind! Plus has a great sense of humor. I was afraid of total right knee surgery! Sometimes in fear I become humorous. When Dr. Weimer came to the room to mark my correct leg for knee surgery, I jokingly asked him to also put a smiley face on my surgical leg., He smiled at me and did just that! His humor and kindness really gave me an uplift. I knew someone that kind would take very good care of me, and He did!!

Love Dr. Weimer he did my hip and my knee replacement. Excellent job. And I fell and he just did my knee again and also broke my femur he fixed that. He listens to ur problems and takes them seriously. Best Ortho Dr.

Dr. Weimer has been caring, understanding and very thorough during my entire pre and post hip replacement surgery. He listened to any issues and answered my questions promptly. Great experience

Very informative; professional and caring!

I searched for the best knee replacement surgeon within a 250 mile radius of Youngstown. Went to several orthopods including the Joint Implant Surgeons Group in Columbus, Oh, talked to surgical nurses, other doctors & anesthetesiologists, and reviewed postop stats. As a retired surgeon, I was luckily able to gain insider opinions & first hand results. There are many good surgeons but Dave Weimer's name came up the most. He did my knee replacement 6 weeks ago and did an excellent job; even repaired a leg deformity left over from Vietnam. I couldn't be more pleased and strongly recommend him. He also does surgery at Southwoods; easily the nicest hospital facility in the area. BTW, Dave's also a helluva nice guy; friendly & pleasant. STRONGLY recommended.

Truly, the best orthopedist in the Youngstown area. I researched who was the best for my total knee implant thoroughly. Visited other orthopods within 250 miles, spoke with nurses, called other doctors, checked stats. As a retired surgeon, I had access to info most do not. I was repeatedly told that David Weimer is the best. He truly is. BTW, he's also a helluva nice guy; friendly, easy going, and goes out of his way to satisfy. I STRONGLY recommend him.

I just loved him, he did a fabulous job, and I would , and have recomened him.

Very supportive threw the whole process. Highly recommend Dr.Wiemer for any one considering knee or hip surgery.

We have had two surgeries by two different doctors with excellent results. Both Dr. Joseph and Dr. Weimer are excellent. I would feel comfortable with family and friends going to them for surgery.

Dr. Weimer is the best doctor. He really helped me through my hip surgery. I was not able to walk at all. It was a miracle how he helped me.

The care I received by Dr Weimer and also the staff at St Elizabeth's Boardman campus was great The only shortcomings were: on a couple occasions on Saturday before I left my pain medication was late being administered due to other needs on the floor; and lastly even though I had already requested to get medications from the hospital pharmacy, prior to surgery, I was not able to get my medications from the hospital pharmacy, as I left late on Saturday(5p.m.) and no one had requested them. Therefore I went home that night without any pain medication to get me through until Sunday morning. The only other issue which was just due to unfamiliar circumstances my case was a VA case and the coordination of post hospital care and needs was a little disjointed as the staff at St Elizabeth was unfamiliar with the VA's requirements and needs prior to ordering things such as home health or DME. This was not anyone's fault just an unfair circumstance and I might suggest reaching out prior to these situations to local VA resources to iron out the rough spots and make transition both for hospital staff and the VA smoother for the patient. Again though I was very happy with the care of all staff there from the doctors nurses AIDS kitchen housekeeping everyone did a wonderful job. They did a great job taking care of my needs and answering my questions before during and after surgery. The most difficult part, due to then the CO-Vid 19 virus, was not having my wife there with me so she could ask or answer questions that I was unable to or did not have the foresight to think about. She felt very out of the loop. Gina and Ruth Ann who work for Dr Weimer have done a great job helping me coordinate and answer questions that I have had both prior to and following surgery. He has a great staff and very pleased to work with the Youngstown orthopedic association. I work in the therapy field and they do a fabulous job. Last but not least, Dr Weimer has treated me with nothing but respect and been very good with passing on information. He is an excellent doctor and I would let him if the need would arise to operate on myself or anyone else in my family in his area of expertise. Thank you so much Dr Weimer. This is my third major hip surgery and second total hip replacement. I’ve always had excellent doctor’s and this time is no exception! Dr Weimer has been great and my home health was fantastic! I’ve learned more and been able to use that knowledge to speed my recovery. Dr Weimer’s advice to have a spinal block was perfect and again led to a quicker recovery! I had hip replacement surgery, Dr Weimer and staff are very thorough, before and after surgery for the best results. I should have had it done sooner.

Had a total knee replacement. Dr Weimer is one of the best orthopaedic surgeons in the area. He is both caring and competent. You would feel at ease using his services.

I had a knee replacement in June 2018. I was so pleased with everything. Initial visit was very thorough with several options. Surgery went well with no problems and hospital kept pain levels low for therapy. I had home therapy for 4 days with MVI and they were wonderful. They made you work, but all worth it for outpatient therapy. Within a month I was doing everything but kneeling. I would recommend Dr. Weimer to anyone. Great Dr.

Dr. Weimer and his assistant Ted are simply THE BEST. I recently had my second total knee surgery with Dr. Weimer. Rest assured you are in good hands when in his care. Everyone who works in the office is great too. They were so helpful with guiding me and my husband through the process for FMLA, filling out paperwork and submitting it.I highly recommended Dr. Weimer and Youngtown Orthopaedics! I recently had my second total hip replacement with Dr Weimer. He truly is the best!!! His caring and concern and reassurance takes away all the anxiety that comes with having surgery. The team at the office is just as wonderful!!! I would recommend Dr Weimer to anyone in need of his services!
