I have been a patient at this practice since 1972. For over 40 years I saw Dr. Meltzer than Dr. Ullman before both retired. I was delighted with my first visit with Dr. McGee! I have a concierge internist, and I felt just as well taken care of and definitely not rushed with Dr. McGee. I recently had a hip replaced, and she offered some additional orthopedic advice from her personal experience in addition to my annual gynecologic exam!

Very knowledgeable and demonstrates concern for patient needs. She explains things very well and does not rush through appointments. I definitely recommend her.

As always Dr Dawn McGee would be 10 stars if that rating was choice. She is such a compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough physician. Never ever feel rushed even tho I know she usually has more patients to see after me. Also always, regardless of how late in the day it may be she returns calls regarding lab reports, procedure results, etc. Does not leave the patient "wondering"... she is truly an amazing doctor & honestly cares about her patients.

I am a new patient and was blown away by the way Dr. McGee took the time to get to know me both medically and personally. She really listens, asking pertinent follow up questions and making helpful recommendations. It is clear that she cares about her patients. She was also very gentle and put me immediately at ease. I usually dread my annual pap, but this appointment was honestly a bright spot in my week! Thank you, Dr.!

I have been Dr McGee patient for several years already. Always a great experience, she keeps detail track of your history, she is on time and before doing any procedure she explains what she is doing it and why. I would recommend her 100% If I have to mention something to improve is trying to reach her team to schedule/reschedule an appointment.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. McGee’s for 17 years, she delivered two of my children. I look forward to visits with her - she is kind, personable and informative. She truly treats the whole patient, interested in my whole life - work, family, etc. Any issues that arise she can explain clearly and is reassuring. She truly is the best!

I’ve been a patient for over a decade, and Dr. McGee continues to be the most thoughtful, kind, patient-centered practitioner I have ever engaged with.

Dr. McGee has great bedside manners and is easy to talk to. She doesn't rush through the appointments and answers all your questions while making you feel safe and confident on every decision you make. She has helped deliver my 2 babies and I will be forever grateful to her for that.

This was my 1st visit with Dr. Dawn McGee. (2 family members recommended Dr. McGee.) Dr. Dawn McGee was kind, gentle, and knowledgeable during my exam. I was treated as a person as a whole ~ not just body parts. In addition, Dr. McGee spent valuable time talking to me and getting to know me. She listened to me and addressed my questions. Dr. McGee's Amazing care, not only reflects her medical skills as a physician~ but also her compassion as a person. Thank you Dr. McGee! Regarding the staff: Diana (Dr. McGee's assistant) has been Wonderful and attentive with her follow-up from day 1. Front office staff, very friendly and welcoming. Abigail (in Lab), gentle and very skilled. Taylor was attentive and helpful at the end of my visit. Thank you All!

Dr McGee is a wonderful, caring doctor. I appreciate especially that she is an exceptional communicator and includes me in the Tx process. She is gentle and I feel thought about as a person. I feel very fortunate to be her patient

Dr McGee is fantastic. She listens well and has a warm, engaging personality. She helped me resolve some health issues that were significantly affecting my quality of life and I have come out the other end in much better shape. I would highly recommend her!

Dr. McGee is the most thoughtful physician I’ve seen in the last ten years. She’s skilled. She’s personal. If I were pregnant today, she would be my choice as my OB. Of course I’m 78 so that won’t be happening. I’ve been going to this practice for 47 years.

Dr. McGee is the best, excellent care and the best medical guidance

Dr. McGee is an incredible doctor! She has wonderful bedside manner, ensuring you never feel rushed. She blends compassion with a keen sense of humor, putting you at ease while acknowledging vulnerable moments. I’ve been seeing Dr. McGee for ~6 years and now with the birth of two kids. My husband and I were fortunate to have her on call with our son’s recent birth. When our doulas did not arrive, she stepped in to serve as an empowering coach in addition to our OB, helping me through breathing / pushing, making informed medical decisions, and offering empowering words while safely delivering our son. Dr. McGee continued to offer empowering emotional support in addition to paying attention to my physical recovery postpartum, including calling during my remaining stay. Dr. McGee is the best gynecologist I have ever had. As a doctor, she has over 20 years of experience, is clear in explaining procedures to be done, allows for any questions I might have, and while I have only been a patient with her for a few years, anything that has come up for me she has handled well and with confidence. As a person, she is lovely - friendly, personable, and down to earth. I feel I can put my complete trust in her. I also like that she makes it a practice of reaching out herself. Dr Magee is an amazing doctor - best I have ever seen. She is thoughtful, inquisitive, spends time with you to make sure you feel heard and can address your concerns, issues. She is a great diagnostician and digs into your issues to explore them - doesn’t pass it off as something unimportant. In an era where it seems like if you don’t advocate for yourself you won’t get decent (or any healthcare), she completely negates that assumption by going the extra mile. I am so happy!! What a positive experience I had at my recent appointment with Dr.Dawn McGhee!! She is so caring and really listened and answered all of my questions. I never felt that I was taking too much of her time. The offices were sparkling clean with a fresh scent. All of the support staff were professional and very welcoming. Dr. McGee is so knowledgable, caring, and makes you feel like you’re her only patient! I’m that rule follower that wants to do everything by the book perfectly and Dr. McGee respects that while helping me become stress free during my pregnancy by helping me learn how to more intuitively listen to my body’s needs instead of following a books general recommendations that isn't right for my body or baby. She answers my list of questions every visit with sincerity, never rushing, and is always there to answers questions that randomly pop up! Dr. Mcgee was very welcoming and had great energy. She made me feel comfortable and did not fill my mind with fearful possibilities. She also addressed any concerns I had right away. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. McGee immediately put me at ease as I am new to Chicago and had to find a new OB. I waited about 4 months for an appointment as a new patient but it was absolutely worth the wait. She is smart, attentive, provides helpful feedback, and does not judge my sexual and lifestyle choices which has not always been the case with my OB's in the past. Having a doctor who will listen and help you make the best decisions for your health without inserting their own personal agenda is so very important, and Dr. McGee thankfully does just that. I am very happy I chose Dr. McGee and The Association for Women's Health!

I only see Dr. McGee every 2 years but always look forward to my visits. She's a terrific, attentive doctor who obviously cares about her patients and what's going on with them besides gynecological specifics, i.e. she treats the whole person. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an ob/gyn.

I haven’t conducted my appointment with Dr. McGee yet, I’ve just called to her front desk assistant Ms. Kim who I was really upset with. I’ve had a chance to talk to other doctors’ representatives to make an appointment before but I’ve never been experienced with such unfriendly, even roughy treatment. However, I’ve heard a lot of good reviews regarding doctor, I don’t want to get her rating to get decreased by this review, but I really want her team to pay attention to her front desk worker’s behavior. And also the way of scheduling appointments through phone only seems a little bit weird to me. I think if you had an option for online booking as well, it could eliminate such misunderstanding and unpleasant feeling before an actual visit with doctor. Dr. McGee, please feel free to reach out to me if you’d like me to delete this review because I understand that it’s actually not related to you personally. I've been going to Dr. McGee for over ten years. She is so friendly and down to earth that I actually enjoy my visits because of our chats. She's a wonderful doctor but also a wonderful person and it really shows in the time and care she takes with her patients!

My visit with Dr. McGee for my annual exam was very comfortable, thorough my concerns were addressed and my questions were answered. Due to traffic and a long line for the lobby sign in, I arrived about 20 minutes late. I was told there would be probably be a little bit of a wait, but within 5 minutes I was called in. Although I was late, I am thankful I was able to ask questions regarding a few concerns I had. This was my second visit with Dr. McGee since Dr. Hungerford retired and Dr. McGee has made the transition quite comforting and smooth. After leaving the office, I called to leave a message regarding a concern I had forgotten to mention. Dr. McGee returned my call and we were able to discuss the issue. I love Dr McGee!! I’ve been going to her for over 15 years. She guided me through prenatal care and c-sections for both of my kids. I don’t know if there’s a more kind, patient & understanding doctor out there. Can’t say enough good things about her.

Dr McGee is the best. I don't usually go out of my way to rate people or places, good or bad, so this should tell you how great I think she is. She is kind, has a great personality and is always very professional. I highly recommend her.

No one believes me when I say a trip to the gynecologist is enjoyable, but with Dr. McGee it truly is. She makes me feel like a real person, and she really makes an effort to connect with me.
