Dr. Debra A Petrucci

I am post 10/ 11 year surgery of an L2/L3 & Si Joint Fusion that Dr Petrucci performed. I am still to this day doing fantastic. I almost forget I’ve had these surgeries since she did such a great job. Highly recommend Dr Petrucci. In my opinion and experience, she is one of the best in her field and genuinely a great bedside manner.

When I was suffering with intense back pain I researched the best surgeon in the NY area and Dr Petrucci’s name kept coming up, not only from those that had been in her care, but especially from other experts in the field. My experience with Dr Petrucci was amazing! She cares, is clear, has a great bedside manner and thankfully, as of today, I am 6 years pain free. I’m forever in debt to her and I strongly recommend her as a surgeon. In my opinion Dr. Petrucci is one of the best. She removed a synovial cyst from my 4th and 5th lumbar 5 years ago. I was in so much pain prior to surgery. She has a caring nature and total understanding of what the patient is going thru . I saw her recently for a disc related problem to find out I was misdiagnosed by emergency care. I was in a very bad place with pain when I met Dr. Debra Petrucci in 2014. I saw many doctors that didn't want to help me and she was different... at least that's what I thought! Surgery didn't go well. It took an hour and a half longer than she stated and when she was done we found out she didn't even do everything she said she was going to do! After surgery was done and my pain came back she wrote me off as her patient!!! This was when she was working at Yale, she has now left Yale and moved into NY!!! I just found out the 2 level fusion she did never healed correctly, I was a bobble head all this time and I am back to where I started all those years ago!! I would never recommend her for any of my friends or family! I see above that she had a great bedside manner well I didn't experience that at all! This isn't a doctor I would recommend by any means! Has the greatest bedside manners! Explains the procedure simply and clearly and so easy to talk to. Highly recommended!

Had spinal fusion surgery in December, 2018 with her. Was in quite a bit of pain for 8 years prior. She was very thorough, fully explained the procedure and had a good bedside manner. Highly recommend.

I meet by accident, no pun intended, but I can swear Ms. Petrucci is the best at what she does. More than 10 years ago she fixed 2 herenated disc, c3- c4, in my neck. Without her skills, well l could of been, let's say VERY worse off. I do thank God she came into my Life when she did. Thanks is not enough to say. Bless her hands and knowledge. Lori Craft. Dr. Petrucci performed emergency spinal fusion surgery in November 2018 after I was "dismissed" as "you're just getting old" by an orthopedic surgeon. I was falling down and couldn't feel my legs. She gave me back my ability to walk. Every follow up visit has been a great experience. Dr. Petrucci and her staff take the time to make sure everything goes right. Dr Petrucci was the 4th Neurosurgeon I consulted regarding a spinal fusion after a severe disc herniation. She is the ONLY doctor who took the time to explain (in layman's terms) what she was seeing on the MRI/X-rays, and go into detail about what the prospects of surgery entailed. She never made me feel foolish for asking questions, and truly listened to my concerns. After surgery, I was in the hospital for 4 days and she came to check on me everyday. I cannot recommend her highly enough. A+++

Dr. Debra Ann Petrucci was my life saver, she performed spinal surgery almost 2 years ago and I am completely pain free with my mobility and able to walk and exercise on a regular basis. Dr. Petrucci is the best surgeon I could have ever wished for. She gave me back a quality of life that I didn't think I would ever have before her surgery. I highly recommended her for any spinal surgery.

She was extremely confident and reassuring. Made me feel at ease right from the start.
