Mrs. Denise Farantatos Robertson

We meet Ms. Robertson in the office as well as participate in phone sessions. She has been really great with identifying our problem areas and developing a treatment plan. We process and then discuss strategies. We feel comfortable in both settings and our sessions always makes us feel better, We feel like she has improved our communication tremendously. We also are learning strategies for coping and problem solving. I highly reccommend her for her professional and caring nature.

I would NEVER recommend her to anyone I know. She was constantly late to appointments, very rude/blunt, and when discussions between my husband and I would get heated, she wouldn't step in and stop it, she would just let us argue for the whole session and then say "ok times up, I'll text you for the next session". I didn't feel safe talking to her, in fact I felt more like the victim. The advice she gave hurt my situation more than it helped it. We would always do a phone call and it is hard to actually read people and see/feel them over the phone. Again I would never send anyone I know to her. I have since found someone that actually takes the time to listen, gives positive feedback, and allows you to take turns in a discussion. Please save your time, money and energy & go see someone that actually cares.

She is always running behind and cancels appointments at the last minute. She is very unreliable. She also does not file insurance correctly. She takes the copay but never sends the claim to the insurance company. I do not even think this is legal if she in contracted with that insurance company. If she does file it (which she will sporadically), it is usually months later. She collected a higher copay than was allowed but I never received a refund. I learned I over paid because my new therapist filed the claim and I got the letter back from the insurance. She also does not use therapeutic strategies. The new therapist sets goals and identifies and communicates what we are working on and gives homework each week. This never happened with Denise. If you are looking for someone to simply chat with and don't care if you are charged correctly or that she always runs behind, she is ok. But, if you want a therapist that is reliable and follows proven therapeutic strategies, keep looking.

Denise Robertson is caring and very helpful. Within a few sessions, I felt better and had a direction.

Mrs. Robertson often starts 10 to 20m late. But, she never shortens your sessions. In fact, sometimes, she gives extra time. All her sessions involve listening , acknowledgement, and solutions. I have seen 5 other therapists. She is real and will even decrease your copayment when you are struggling. She is a true helper. I would highly reccomend her!!!
