He’s a bad person! Won’t make it thru the gates of Heaven! He’s a bad person and a bad doctor!!!

Dr. Chong is one of the most pleasant surgeons I have ever met. He has a great bed side manner, answers questions and is so calm, he puts you at ease. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Chong is a kind physician. I had an emergency situation and came to the hospital and saw me. I had surgery the next day. I’m a retired nurse and very picky about physicians. Even though I met him in a difficult situation he was able to make me feel comfortable enough to have him do my surgery. I am currently recovering. Visited surgeon twice for same issue. He did not correct the issue. Had to switch to a different doctor to get the issue fixed

The office manager here is the worst!! Acts as if she’s a doctor or physician or as if she works for the insurance company. When I got there she argued my coverage for an hour, even got on the phone with my insurance agent who said made her feel like ripping her own hair out in frustration. Same here. Only to find out my coverage is exactly as I thought. She first called at 8am with a 9:30 appt then at 8:30 called back and said could I come at 11:30 instead so she could check coverage. (I had already checked) then I get there for her to immediately threaten me with that if this is preexisting it won’t be covered. Doctor was short and said he’d review my scan at the hospital that day. My pain level was at 10! I waited a week and a half before I had to call and get the run around aka lied to by the front desk about when and how he reviewed my results from the hospital. Dr. Chong was chosen by my internal medicine doctor. I had a ruptured colon that could have killed me. Was very happy to have Dr. Chong. His bedside manner was terrific and many years later, I’ve had no further trouble or complications.

Dr. Chong was my daughter’s surgeon a few years back and he was excellent. I had to have surgery and found out he was to be my surgeon and I was so relieved. He is excellent in his craft. Answers all questions and his staff is wonderful. Not that I want another surgery but if so, I want him to be the surgeon if possible. Thank you!

Excellent and comprehensive, impressive doctor

General surgery consultants, office manager Stephanie needs to be fired. You are not a doctor, you have no bedside manner and you need to be taught customer service skills. Couldn't get an appointment because she was too concerned about what the doctor had diagnosed, when she herself is not a doctor. I recently had my gallbladder removed and I am very glad to have chosen Dr Chong to be my surgeon. All my other medical doctors had nothing but praise for Dr. Chong so Im absolutely sure I made the right choice!

I had my umbillical Hernia surgery on July 16th ,2018 Dr. Chong & his staff were wonderful, friendly & professional. I felt 100% comfortable & knew I was in good hands. I had my gallbladder surgery done by Dr Chong and my experience was beyond amazing. The entire process from the initial consultation to the surgery and follow up only took TWO WEEKS. That is, this people submitted my request for prior auth for the insurance as soon as I left the office on my first visit, and it might have taken even less time if I hadn't been so snotty about my work schedule. Dr Chong and his staff always made me feel like a priority, which is a tough quality to find among doctors offices. Dr Chong has a very calm demeanor and is very good about soothing your nerves and answering any questions. There were three instances before my surgery when I got to ask all the questions I had, up until I was in the OR. The anesthesiologist as well as all the nurses spoke really well of Dr Chong as well. I mentioned that the last time I woke up from general anesthesia I had a massive panic attack, and they listened to me and allowed me to wake up by myself instead of the usual shaking you and saying your name loudly routine. The only complaint that I would have is that when I woke up, I was in pretty bad pain. It felt like a gallbladder attack, which sometimes feel like the most awful heartburn multiplied a few. As soon as I described my pain as heartburn the nurse stopped taking me seriously and simply said "we already gave you Pepcid" even after I said it was an 8/10. This had to do with the hospital staff rather than with Dr Chong, however. My recoup went amazing, I was out and about by the next day. He hit me in the head 3 times when he got mad because I took off my shoes. Then he threatened to hit my foot if I moved it. He kicked me out cause I moved when I was sitting. What should I do?

Great surgeon

Dr. Chong did my lap chole procedure last month. He was very calm and answered all my questions with a smile. He is very good. I highly recommend him.

He took care of my cyst but did not leave me instructions on how to take care of my stitches on the back of my leg.. it's been bleeding for 3 days now. Went to my general doctor and they said another stitch was needed. I felt like as soon as it was done even though I paid $500.00 out of pocket.. it was on to the next for him. His medical assistant told me to put a bandaid on it lol.. real sound medical advice for 10 stitches.

Very sincere professional . Afforded me the opportunity to ask questions concerning the upcoming surgery. Left choices up to me after he delivered his opinion. Arrived early to pre-op area for final consultation & reassurances. Serious man who does his job well.

I have to say that while the doctors are nice here, the staff could use some help. They have such a 'don't care about your time' attitude. I had an appointment last week here and waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time. About 45 minutes into that wait, I asked the nurse at the desk about how much longer - only to receive a slight eye roll and a lazy ask to her colleague. They then told me he was running 20 minutes late. No apology, nothing. Lovely. When I left that appointment I asked on my way out if I could just call ahead next time to see if they were on time and if they were running late, I could plan my time. They said that would be fine. So the next week, I call about 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time asking if the doctor was running on time. After a short hold, they tell me that yes, he is on time. I get to the office about 5 minutes before my scheduled time, happy that I wouldn't wait long and that I could get back to work on time. However, as time passes, I realize that they were incredibly wrong. It has now been one hour since my scheduled appointment time and I'm still waiting. I realize that when she said he was running 'on time' that that was an estimate. But how someone could get it SO wrong - I have no clue. These people don't give one crap about people's time. If you have an entire day to burn, by all means see this office. However, if you believe an appointment time should be ON TIME or at the most +15-25 minutes - find someone else.
