I had three implants done by Dr. Pettit. One of them is practically sideways. It looked so bad that Dr. Pettit offered to remove it and replace it at no cost. He told me I must have been "scrunched" down in my seat! I elected not to replace that tooth because of the length of time it would take to remove and replace but also because of dental anxiety. Dr. Pettit should stick to extractions which he does very quickly and efficiently. Also he charges a percentage fee if you use a credit card to pay for any of your dental expenses.

Had a couple of extractions and implants. Great personality, genuinely cares about his patients, able to get patients in quickly. Have recommended him several times.

Dr. Pettit is incredible and so is his lovely staff. They have taken care of me through a rare diagnosis and have gone above and beyond to help me though it. It is amazing to come in contact with unrelated people within the medical community (other doctors and nurses) and the mere mention of Pettits name brings loads of compliments and kind regards. Needed a tooth pulled after being hit in mouth by dog. Twice before pulling staff said they could file thru HEALTH insurance as instructed by my health insurance. Then after pulling, they refuse to file thru HEALTH insurance without a report from a doctor such as ER saying they can’t verify that I was hit by a dog because it would be fraud on his part. I didn’t go to ER because it wasn’t an emergency. I told Pettit it isn’t his job to verify, my insurance said to do it this way. He then said insurance won’t pay & still refused to file as they twice said they would. Also, they don’t tell you until after your visit that they charge an extra 4% to pay with a credit card.

I called to explain my situation after speaking with my HEALTH insurance about needing a tooth pulled. Pettit’s staff confirmed they could file thru my health insurance. I showed up for the procedure & again explained the situation & the need to file under HEALTH insurance. I was again told it wasn’t a problem, so my tooth was extracted. I went to pay & was advised there is a 4% charge for credit card- something I feel they should tell people before their appointment but that’s another complaint. I paid my the amount Pettit’s staff said was my deductible, thinking that was it. I then get a call from Pettit’s staff a few days later saying they would not file thru my HEALTH insurance without a report from a doctor - such as the Emergency Room because Pettit couldn’t verify I was hit in the mouth by a dog. I explained I already had a conversation with my insurance & they said to file it this way but he refused saying insurance won’t pay. Why didn’t they say this during the first two conversations before the procedure. Bottom line.... my opinion it’s all about the money for them. They told me twice before the procedure they would file thru my insurance then after the procedure refused to do so, I’m guessing because insurance would make them write more off. As far as the 4% charge for credit cards...why not give this info to new customers when you send them the questionnaire or when they call to set up an initial appt.

On Friday morning Dr. Petitt was removing a molar at which time the roots had broken off in my bone. He cut away at the bone until he found and removed the broken pieces. After being charge $475.00 for a single extraction (keep in mind I never intended him to break my roots off in my bone). I left his office with a prescription for antibiotics and 6 pills for pain. At home when the pain injections wore off I was in horrible pain.- all I could do was lay still with a lot of blood coming from my mouth. Eventually I got the bleeding under control . I was in a lot of pain over the wk-end but by Monday morning it was still very painful. The side of my face was swollen twice it's size and my face was bruised from my cheek down to the bottom of my neck. No one in the office on Mondays. Tuesday I managed to get some rest and was able to call him at 4:00 P.M.to tell him of my condition. He become very arrogant -and then some- having no compassion and refused to call me in only 3 or 4 addition pain pills. Telling me to come back in on Wed, probably for an addition fee -then he hung up on me! I was beside myself.- crying. Him being a surgeon should have had no problem calling me in just a few more pain pills after such an evasive procedure- there was no doubt I could still have a lot of pain. He seem to relish in the fact that he had control.- and then he hung up on me! Why? I couldn't believe it. - I should have known what to expect after the staff was equally as rude but that's another story. Is this the kind of treatment you would want?? I had my wisdom teeth removed last month by Dr. Pettit. I am in my mid 30's, so I was very nervous to say the least. Dr. Pettit was fantastic! Everything went incredibly smooth from the initial consultation appointment to the actual procedure. His staff were all very friendly and helpful both times I visited. Dr. Pettit was personable, and the room where I had the oral surgery performed had a great view of the outdoors which helped to relax me as well before the procedure. I elected to have the procedure done under general anesthesia and was out of the office less than an hour later. The waiting room is warm and welcoming, even my fiance driving me mentioned how nice the waiting room was. After the procedure they had me recover in a very comfortable chair and gave me a brand new big soft towel to warm up with and take home with me. My recovery process went amazingly well, and I had absolutely no pain at any point in time. Dr Pettit and all his staff are wonderful, professional and experienced. I found it nice that the Doctor was dressed casual, his waiting room and the place where my teeth was removed surgically had a warm comfortable decor. No waiting, and before I knew it, he was done. I have had no pain and will recommend him to anyone who may ask. Thank you to everyone who assisted and ran the office. Even the crew hired to repair his parking lot was pleasant. ive called all day with no response to see about becoming a new patient and help with my painful wisdom teeth

I was referred there to my dentist for a tooth extraction and when I get my bill, I have a $90.00 consultation fee. There was no consultation done I was a referral for a tooth extraction. The doctor came in, looked at my tooth and made sure that the tooth he was looking at was the one that was going to get extracted, gave me a few shots to numb me up, let the room for about 5 minutes, came back and took another 1-2 minutes to pull my tooth and that was it! So, I called and talked to them about this and they proceed to tell me that it's really an "examination" fee. The billing person tells me that "you need to pay for Dr. Pettit's time since he looks at your health history, does an examination and this also covers the people up front who takes your information". Then she lets me talk to their office manager who explains the same thing and also added, "They always charge this for any new patient". Really? You charge $90.00 for simply glancing over the paperwork I completed, making sure that the tooth he was going to pull was the one he numbed up and for the office people that need to put the information in the computer? Plus, of course, there is also an extraction fee, which I am OK with but to pad the bill $90.00 just to cover their overhead, is completely ridiculous in my opinion! I figured that maybe after I talked to them that they would be like "Well, let me see if we can do anything for you" but instead I got the "You've got to pay for the doctor's time and that's the bill" attitude. I will NEVER go back to this doctor and I would strongly recommend no one else does either! Oh, and if you pay with a credit card, they charge you an additional 4%! Heaven forbid they actually pay ANYTHING for the normal cost of doing business! I believe the most I've ever seen a credit card company charge is 3% and that was for an American Express credit card, so they are now MAKING money for a person to use their credit card! The final note about this practice is on their website where is states at the very top, "Kindness, compassion & respect". Yep, as long as you pay their ridiculous prices! Set up an appointment and was told I only needed to bring my referral paper from my dentist and my insurance card for a consultation, but I show up and they turn me away for not bringing dental x rays as well, which they never told me I needed for the appointment! I live 45 minutes away and had to get work off for the consultation which had to be rescheduled, and the soonest they could get me in is over ANOTHER month later. *UPDATE* Yet another one star experience here. The receptionist told me I was scheduled today when in fact I was scheduled for another day next week...They re-REscheduled my rescheduled appointment another month later. Time to find a different surgeon who will treat me with respect for my business. Terrible experience from start to finish...I scheduled an appt for my husband to have 2 teeth pulled. Once I was finally able to get someone to answer the phone, I explained that my husband would have to have anesthesia as he is very nervous during dental procedures. The vapid receptionist assured me that would. e no problem. The appt was scheduled at least a month in advance. We never got a reminder phone call the nig but before the appt (no big deal as we are adults and can read a schedule, but still common practice). We showed up 10 mins early for the appt, knowing there would be paperwork to fill out. The office was at lunch until the time of his appt. When the doors re-opened, 4+ pts walked in at once to check in. When my husband got to the back, they did not have him scheduled for anesthesia. He had to ask for nitrous (kinda thought they would suggest that since he wanted to be anesthetized in the first place. The staff was very rude and seemed put out at this "inconvenience". After white-knuckling through the extractions, my husband then received his discharge instructions while the nitrous was still on. He couldn't remember much of what they told him. Luckily they gave him printed instructions. He is now home, numb and miserable. Praying no complications arise.. These guys are the best! Dr. Pettit and his staff know their job. Very professional. Well organized. Comfortable facility in both locations. I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed today. Dr. Pettit is the FIRST doctor that has not hurt me or missed my vain when inserting an IV. I was put under because my family thought it would be best. It was not stressful, the staff was friendly, the environment was comfortable and Dr. Pettit was VERY FAST! In and out of there in approx 1 hour and the surgery only took like 30 minutes for all four teeth! My jaw does hurt this afternoon but pain medicine, ice cream, icing my jaw and resting has been very good. ???? recommend Dr. Pettit. As for the negative comments given below... # 1 my mothers wisdom teeth removal took several weeks before she felt no pain. This is a surgery and invasive surgeries take more than 3 days to heal. Be patient, ice often and take anti-inflammatories. The staff is not apathetic they are just VERY familiar with oral surgeries and understand people don’t walk away pain free from surgeries or recover in two to three days 100 percent. #2 it is NOT the oral surgeons responsibility to tell you to take X rays to him, your DENTIST should have not only taken the x-rays but also notified you to take them to the oral surgeon appointment. So DO NOT blame the oral surgeon. They can’t advise you on the details of your surgery if they don’t have those detailed pictures on what they are dealing with. So I would say if your dissatisfied with not being able to see the surgeon than DO YOUR OWN research and ask your DENTIST what you will need prior to the appointment, but please don’t blame the surgeon for your own lack of wisdom. Girlfriend recently had her wisdom teeth taken out. She was still experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort a few days after the surgery so she called the office just to ask some questions and make sure everything was ok. The lady who answered the phone was less than helpful, could not answer any questions or find someone who could answer questions, and had a very apathetic attitude. Was very displeased at the utter lack of customer service, not to mention compassion or caring, that one might expect from a medical professional and/or their associates. 2 weeks after her surgery, she had gotten an infection and urgently needed help. When she called the office to set up a meeting as per Dr. Pettit's instructions, she was again met with the same lazy and rude attitude from the lady on the phone. I understand having a bad day, but providing this poor of service is absolutely unacceptable. I would recommend seeking help elsewhere as this office's staff is incredibly unprofessional. Dr Pettit has a very poor bedside manner. Had multiple complications from a procedure at his office. He was less than helpful and seemed put out that I wasn't healing properly and had concerns. Would not recommend him to a friend or family member.

Girlfriend had her wisdom teeth out. She had pain a few days after surgery and called to ask some questions. The lady who answered the phone was less than helpful, could not answer any questions nor find someone who could answer questions, and had an apathetic attitude. I waited until I was seasoned in life to get my wisdom teeth out. I had heard the horror stories about waiting and getting them out in general. I know my experience won't be like everyone's but I cannot recommend Dr. Pettit's office any more. Have two that were impacted and two that came through OK, I was concerned. The procedure took roughly 40 minutes and then I was out the door. Going home, did the whole gauze thing to stop the bleeding and once it was done, I was eating in less than a couple hours. They provide instructions on what to do post-op to help w/ pain and swelling and following these guidelines, I woke up w/ literally neither. My face didn't swell up one bit and pain was minimal. Neither ever came. When I had a concern about how they were healing, they got me in immediately and Dr Pettit was able to see me w/in hours. I would absolutely, w/o a doubt, go there again if I could do it all over again. No second thoughts one bit. Him and his staff are top-notch and they deserved this review. Dr. Petit and his staff are wonderful! My son had his wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Petit. He explained the procedure in detail and made us very comfortable. I would highly recommend him!

Fast and easy wisdom teeth removal this morning for my daughter. Painless and home resting now. Dennis has such a great cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I had no idea this would be so easy and convenient for us. Thank you Dr. Pettit, I would not go any where else
