When seeing Dr. Ford or previous providers at this practice, I have been very pleased but, it is unfortunate after returning for my acne recently that my experience here as been one I do not want to experience again. This was time and money waisted. After my last appointment, I left without any treatment plan or a course of action. After calling the office a minimum of four times to figure out what the next steps are or what the treatment plan may be I never heard back and I was not was given the decency of a phone call from the PA to provide me with this information. As I have dealt with acne my whole life I came here looking for a solution but instead all I invested in was delaying my treatment p or time I could have used being seen at another practice. It is really frustrating and disappointing this is how I was looked after as a patient. That’s my issue, no one had the decency to inform me of treatment decisions being made. After several phone calls with no call backs, and paying for pointless appointments I got the simple information I was looking for… my medication at my last appointment was discontinued because she wanted to try something new but instead for a month I was left untreated.

The office of Diane S. Ford is the best, besides a small insurance issue, but not their fault. The staff is super friendly and the doctors are top notch. It's hard to get an appointment but that just reinforces the fact that they are that good and everyone wants to go there.

I am a new patient at this office and have been a few times now but recently I was treated by Jessica Henderson at this practice and she was professional and kind! Highly recommend!

Years and years ago I was a patient of Dr. Ford. She was excellent and really helped me. Recently I received a letter in the mail stating I owe the office money. A letter with no date of services, nothing. When I tell you it has been year I mean years that I have been to this office. I find it ridiculous to send me such a letter without any other information, like I’m just going to send you money that you say that I owe? I don’t think so! Dr. Ford and staff, Get it together! Excellent bedside manner however, I don’t think my input was valued or considered as a patient. Most recommendations were things I’ve tried before or treatment I’ve received. Waste of my time and won’t return. In addition, I recommend that patients are notified prior to appointment that a credit card must be placed on file. This wasn’t explained when I made the new patient appointment. Personally I don’t like it. I drove an hour and took off of work. I had no choice but to oblige. I have insurance and it’s the responsibility of the office to verify and work with MCO. Update: Sent a message and made 2 calls regarding a prescription that isn’t covered by my insurance. I finally spoke to the Nurse who informed me Dr. Ford was out of the office however, she checks emails and would get back to me. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. Had a concern about a spot on my leg. Kristina Trunnell checked it and froze the area. She also checked my back for me. She is always thorough and very caring.

She’s very nice and explains her diagnosis and recommended treatments clearly. Sometimes I have to wait, but she’s worth it.

They prescribed medications for me and my wife that didn't work- their billing department is one of the worst we dealt with so far.

Great team from the front office to the exam room! Every one is attentive, efficient and professional. Local surgery was done with precision and compassion. I will be back.

The staff is always friendly, the professionals are very knowledgeable, and I feel as though I am being well cared for.

Dr. Ford is amazing! I have been a patient of Dr. Ford for several years and after every non-invasive procedure, I have been very pleased with results. She combines procedures and knows a more natural face takes more than one effort. Staff is professional and friendly.

1st visit today. Disappointing, as usual. Nothing personal. Not knowledgeable about my condition. As a matter of fact, no questions were even asked about my condition of PXE. Probably won’t go back.

Dr is good, but her reception staff are terrible. Makes me fume every time I deal with them. Won't even relay the Dr my questions. Nickle and dime you for everything, even when just there for same issue a few months ago. Got to collect that copay $

This review is not about the doctor, it's about billing. I've been a patient of Dr Ford for years. She is a wonderful and caring doctor. Her staff has always been courteous and friendly during my visits. I made an appointment and paid a $100 deposit. I had to cancel the appointment and did not receive a refund. I called the office and was told that they do not do refunds. I have a credit towards a future visit. This would not be a problem except I don't need to see Dr Ford anytime soon. I am disappointed because this policy was not made clear to me and I didn't see the information on their website. This review is not about the doctor, it's about billing. Dr. Ford and her staff are just tops in my book. Compassionate, caring treatment of the highest order. Every question answered; every concern addressed. Can't imagine a better dermatology service!

Dr. Ford is always very, very thorough as well as very knowledgeable and pleasant, In 2005, she saved my life when she diagnosed melanoma in an early stage and has carefully monitored me ever since. She has found four facial basil cell skin cancers and sent me for the Moos surgery. Even though this is posting from Robert, it's Nancy.

Incredibly thankful for Dr. Ford and team in getting my persistent acne tamed and eliminated. We had to try a few different things but she was always supportive and as concerned about my skin as I was. Extremely grateful for her and my now clear skin!

The front office staff was warm and welcoming. I loved Dr. Ford, she was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable with my examination. Also, discussed the issues and made me comfortable with discussion and decisions to how to move forward.

Have been going to Dr. Ford for about 20 years. She is absolutely the best dermatologist in Frederick and very innovative in her approach to total skin health. She takes her time during your appointment to make sure you are satisfied with the result. Highly recommend.

I write this review for the amazing, professional front desk staff of DSF Cosmetic & Medical Derm, and also for the wonderful Dr. Diane Ford. My son has been a patient of Dr. Ford since age 3 months. Our ongoing fight against eczema has been endless. However, Dr. Ford has been very attentive and diligent in helping to find what treatment parameters work. Most recently, the office staff impressed me after I brought my son for a visit. The staff was sure to follow up by phone to ensure prescribed medication was retrieved from the pharmacy. Its sometimes the little things that count most! I was also so happy with the care that Dr. Ford provided for this particular visit, because she called me the day prior to my son's appointment (before business hours) to assess the extent of his skin condition. Dr. Ford is genuine in her approach and will help you figure out where the potential root cause comes from. This type of care shows her genuine intent to solve the problem. This type of care seems far, few, and in-between when it comes to some providers, but not with Dr. Ford. Thank you for your exceptional care! Dr. Ford has a reassuring presence and shows competence in dealing with skin problems. She knows what to do and when to refer to other specialists.

I visited the office one time to have something removed/biopsied from my lip. Dr. Ford was very nice. The reason that I gave the office only 2 stars is that since my appointment they have called me twice trying to set up appointments for me to come in and buy sunscreen. I feel like telemarketers are reaching out and that this is inappropriate for a doctors office. Why would I pay a $40 copay for another appointment just to purchase sunscreen from them?!? Gosh! Suffered from hyperhidrosis for several years. Was in and out in less than a half hour with a solution and the staff was amazing. Posh, upscale waiting area. Place gets amazing reviews and now I see why. #Awesome

36 years old and Dr. Ford is the 1st person to give me an answer in how to maintain clear skin. Amazingly it’s been my diet and replacing simple carbs with complex carbs has been a game changer. Thanks Dr. Ford!

Dr. Ford is fantastic! After dealing with hormonal acne that would not stay away or settle down, I was anxious to find a solution. At my first apt with Dr. Ford, she started me on a treatment AND gave me a referral to a dr of a different kind who helped me adjust another medication I was taking that was affecting my skin. Only months later, my skin is so much better! Dr. Ford really listens and engages with patients and her nurses/staff are just as kind. Love this office!

Over the past 3+ years, their services have gradually deteriorated. The front desk is rude and technicians frequently run late. Too concerned about collecting fees - even requesting phone payments from long-time customers such as myself (Have never left a balance after a visit). There are several dermatologists along Thomas Johnson Drive that offer better services with more skilled technicians. I have found mine and will not be back.

I called right at 9AM on Thursday when they opened to cancel an appointment for the next day. Because they open at 8AM on Friday's (appt 8:15) they chose to charge me a cancellation fee instead of working with me. I get screwed because they change their hours daily and they can't be reached? I don't think so, it isn't even about the money, it is more about courtesy, and respect of repeat client.

Dr. Ford has a wonderful practice and i would recommend her.

The Aerolase laser is the best. If you need hair removed try this service. Dr. Ford - rocks????.

Dr. Ford is the best! Myself and my entire family have been going to her for years and I wouldn't recommend anyone better.

I have had numerous procedures including Aerolase and normal office visits for rashes, my hair etc.....Dr. Ford is attentive and very good at what she does. I would recommend her without hesitation! Need a Dermatologist......she is the one.

I have seen Dr. Ford for the last 5 years. She has done IPL, Aerolase, Vanquish and Botox on me and has made a huge difference on my skin. I use skinmedica daily and wouldn't use any other skin products. It is the best stuff around. Thanks Dr. Ford for all the recommendation for having young looking skin!!

Dr. Ford helped resolve an issue I had with ingrown hairs or razor bumps since college. She prescribed a course of care that resolved my issues and restored my confidence in my professional and personal lives. I would recommend her for anyone with skin issues.

I have been Dr. Ford’s patient for more than 10 years. I met her when I needed to find out why my hair was disappearing in blotches from my head. Dr. Ford’s initial interview and evaluation was so thorough that I learned that there was a root cause to the hair loss and it was not normal. I thank her for this and she has continued to care for my dermatological needs throughout my bout with LUPUS. Dr. Ford’s dedication to her patients is paramount. I recently became a new patient of Dr. Ford. She is one of the most attentive Dr.'s I have ever seen. She is very gentle and personable which I find to be an amazing quality in a Dr. After all, patients are real people not just a number. I was so pleased with my visit and look forward to a long professional relationship with her practice. I would highly recommend Dr. Ford to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

Its the morning before my appointment. 23 hours to be exact. I have an emergency and need to cancel. Because I did not technically give 24 hours notice (23 hours) they are charging me $100. So tired of second rate Frederick doctors. Looks like its back to Montgomery County doctors for dermatology too.

Dr. Ford has been my dermatologist for many years. I continue to see her even when my current insurance plan does not cover my care. She has treated me for both medical and cosmetic concerns. I am especially impressed with how she keeps up with the latest information and state-of-the-art techniques and equipment.
