I hate going to this doctor. He recommended some wacky supplement pseudoscience to me and that was the last straw. I'm still receiving bills for hundreds of dollars for routine bloodwork that was done 4 months ago. The costs are absolutely outrageous and I will not be ripped off again. Finally, after 15 years, I have had enough of the incompetence and poor treatment regarding my healthcare at Troy Family Health Center. I've been so healthy most of my life, I could easily overlook the rudeness, the fact that it takes 10 days to get an appointment even when I'm ill, and the failure to return phone calls. In the last 4 years, however, I've been suffering with back pain. TWICE now, I've been referred to MRI's, got results that call for follow up and have been let down both times by this office. Both times I was told they'd call me with next steps after checking authorizations. Both times, I waited a month and called them back. Both times, I was forgotten. The first time, I let it go after the month because of a busy life and it was only moderate pain. More recently, though, I had to keep calling them because pain hurts. To no avail. I am now 3 months since my most recent "We'll get back to you" and when I got through today I got another "we'll get back to you" along with a "we get overwhelmed sometimes" excuse. No "I'm sorry, we should do better". Also, she suggested I help make some of their phone calls for them. If she had suggested I do that THREE MONTHS ago, I would have and wouldn't even have charged them an hourly rate for doing their job. Because unlike Troy Family Health Center, I care about my healthcare. Unacceptable.
