Dr. Doraisamy Venkitapathy

Dr. Kenkit (as his patients have come to know him) is a wonderful doctor. During many visits to the Standish, St. Mary’s ER, I have been treated by him (and other professionals) who have shown me nothing but respect and top-notch medical care. May 11, 2018 I was not feeling well. I had the misfortune to suffer a massive heart attack. I, however, was fortunate to be in the ER when it happened and have Dr. Venkitapathy as the doctor on duty. Wow! Although some moments are foggy, I do remember Dr. Kenkit and ALL the wonderful members of the medical team being both kind and efficient. I was very scared, but Doctor and the team explained everything as they were working on me. I experienced some very frightening moments, but I remember thinking how lucky I was that I was surrounded by such a caring, and again, medical skilled team. Once I was stabilized, I was transferred to Saginaw and their staff made a point to compliment the care I received at Standish, St. Mary’s and noted especially the doctor and team that saved my life. Without their actions, at 51 years old, I would have died that day. Obviously, I am more than just a little pleased at have a bit more time upon this earth. I know that my heart attack was a culmination of my poor lifestyle choices, but I have to add, that since that day, I know that medical miracles can and do exist. After the recovery began, I was told of the number of “shocks” I was given to restart my heart and the survival odds of my type of heart attack. Both were staggering, but without Dr. Kenkit, May 11th would have been etched upon my tombstone. Thank you to all who saved my life that day, and I would always seek out emergency care for both myself and those I love from Standish, St. Mary’s! I wouldn't even give him one start. Don't waste your time seeing him. He doesn't care, lies and refuses to help his parents. Worst doctor ever!
