Dr. Duru L Sakhrani

My son was seeing Dr. Sakhrani for 4 years before she recently dropped our case without warning or notification after being apprised that we could not make an appointment because we had Covid. In four years, she was only physically present in the office for two visits, and was completely virtual every time. (This was before Covid). She dropped my son's case, and rescinded all refills of his medication as well as not listening to parental input. Will not return to this Psychiatrist.

I saw her for a few years growing up. All she did was put me on medicine and didn’t listen to anything I said. Blamed all of my issues on me (which shouldn’t be the case bc I didn’t have any major issues until I started to see and be put on medicine). I was put on a medicine that gave me HORRIBLE nightmares daily, and she wouldn’t listen to me to change or something. Definitely do not recommend, especially for young children or teens

She was very much about keeping on task. Very informative with Q22, which was vital for us.

This is my sons first time seeing this doctor. Never has he had a doctor that made him feel so uncomfortable and made him feel like he was on trial. Very impersonal, !!!. Not good for adolestants. Also changed meds 9n him that does not work in which makes me furious. Does not know how to listen or talk to anyone.

She does not let you talk. It's like what you say does not matter to her. Very firm with talking which actually made my child cry. Her staff is very rude and unprofessional. Knowing they are working with children and not wild animals doesn't matter to them. My child is not a wild animal and should be treated with kindness and respect. The nurse there wouldn't know the first thing about how to treat a child nor an adult if it was taught to her. They either need to be retrained or quit their jobs.

I was vey disappointed with my experience. She was unfriendly and treated my child and myself with little respect. I question her skills. I would never return to her and would never recommend her to anyone.
