Dr. Edward Garrison Benton JR.

I visited Dr. Benton Jr. because I endured several years with problems in my right hip that prevented me from experiencing a good quality of life due to strong pain and very limited movement. Dr. Benton Jr. performed hip replacement surgery in February, and a month later I have had an amazing recovery. My life is totally different thanks to the surgery I had with Dr. Benton Jr. He is a very competent surgeon, as well as being very compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you!

Dr. Edward Benton is a skilled surgeon and a compassionate physician. I had a total knee replacement 2 months ago. From the start he put me at ease, listened to my questions and concerns, allowing me to make my decision. He explained the surgical procedure and the steps to minimize trauma and discomfort. Day 2 of the surgery I had no swelling or bruising! A partner in care, he outlined the goals for recovery and his expectations of my part in the therapy. I can finally walk without pain.

I'm an orthopedic nightmare. Multiple knee surgeries on both knees beginning in 1979 when I was 15. I can't remember when my knees were good. I have put off replacements due to fear and pain. I finally had enough and was referred to Dr. Benton by another ortho that said "he was the best". He wasn't wrong. Best Dr. ever. He did bi-lateral knee replacements but stressed to me that if I did not follow through with rehab I would be less than my best. I did and I couldn't be happier.

I have had problems with my right knee for over 25 years and at 71 it had finally reached the point that I had no choice but to have surgery. My first meeting with Dr. Benton went exceptionally well and I had confidence from the start that I was in the right hands. I'm now 8 weeks after surgery and I have better mobility and stability than I have had in 25 years! I have several friends ask me how I could be doing so well after surgery and my answer is easy - I was blessed with a great surgeon!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Benton. He's been blessed with being a very skilled and exceptional surgeon with a compassion and genuine interest in his patients. I had a previous total knee replacement that didn't go as well as the surgery performed by Dr. Benton. If any of my children or grandchildren ever need orthopedic surgery, he would be the doctor we would entrust.

Having not been to a doctor for over 25 yrs, much less being operated on for the first time ever, my fear/nervous level was very high. Dr. Benton from the start made me feel comfortable and his real interest in me as a person, not just another body coming thru the door, empowered me to move forward quickly with the hip replacement surgery I needed to fix my crippling limp that had devastated my ability to function on a daily basis. Surgery done, no pain afterwards, 6 weeks out walking GREAT.

In my opinion, Dr. Edward G. Benton is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in Texas. His calm and comfort personality made going through the process of hip replacement very easy and uneventful. He totally explained the dynamics of what to expect before and after surgery. This was my first and hopefully last replacement surgery. Through his guidance I am recovering within the required time very well. I definitely recommend this surgeon and his staff.

Dr. Benton performed double knee replacement on me and I couldn't be more pleased. I have had an amazing recovery and I attribute it to his excellent surgery and program for recovery he planned for me. He would certainly be the person I could highly recommend for any knee replacement.

I have never been so happy with the surgery and his bedside manner. It was as if I was his only patient. Follow instruction and everything goes well. I would definetly recommend him to anyone needing hip or knee replacement.
