Dr. George A Stovall JR.

I only rated 1 star because you can't submit the review without selecting one. He is a Horrible Doctor. Do not use him. He punctured my colon during a colonoscopy and I had to rushed to Emergency Surgery where they had to remove the majority of my colon and insert an ileostomy. He lied on his form and stated I was taken to the recovery room in good condition. He took liberty while I was under anesthesia to remove the scope and insert another and now is able to hide behind the informed consent form. I only consented to one scope and was not able to withdraw consent nor was my next of kin notified of the procedure. The next morning after my emergency surgery he came into my hospital room and played stupid and said he didn't know what happened. I had to be in the hospital for five days and had weeks of recovery all because of his negligence.

Dr Stovall is very knowledgeable and takes time to answer questions. He does not rush into tests but methodically seeks answers to the cause of symptoms. My husband was recently treated by Dr Stovall and found he needed his gall bladder removed after scopes did not show stomach or colon issues.

Personable and easy going. Met while in the hospital and continued with treatment by him afterwards. His office assistant is fantastic! Cindy will bend over backwards to help anyway she can.
