My total knee replacement went well and I am progressing well thanks to pre op physical therapy at Elevate in Brevard; Pardee’s outstanding joint replacement program including a class, superb literature, nursing and PT/OT care; and finally, last but not least, the skill and bedside manner of Dr. Edward Lilly. I could not be happier with his expertise and time spent at each office visit. He is the orthopedist who is selected by nurses and physical therapists for treatment of themselves or family members.

I most definitely highly recommend Dr. Lilly to anyone who may be having issues within his specialty. I was involved in a serious car accident back in 2016. Have had multiple issues since. I recently started having problems with my knee, on the same leg I broke my femur. I went to one doctor who recommended cortisone shots. I had a second opinion done with Dr. Gregory Lavigne, who is with Southeastern Sports Medicine in Hendersonville. Dr. Lavigne was very friendly, but wanted to do a knee replacement, along with removing the rod from my femur. Keep in mind, I'm not even 40 years old yet. I decided to get another opinion, and Dr. Edward Lilly was who I chose. Best decision I could ever make. He didn't want to do a knee replacement, nor even mess with the rod in my femur. He went in my knee arthroscopically, took out two large loose bone fragments, which were causing me most of my pain and other issues. It took about 8 weeks for the pain and swelling from the surgery to go down, but now I can walk, hike, run, etc. thanks to Dr. Lilly. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am for him. If you are on the fence about anything, I hope you choose Dr. Lilly for your orthopedic needs. The whole staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would give more than 5 stars, if I could.

Had a bad surgery experience. Dr. Lilly insisted all was good when it was not. 18 months later I have had a total redo for a knee that should have lasted 20 years.

I took my child in to be checked out. The Dr comes back in after X-rays to tell me and my child that he’s not to walk on his leg play sports or anything that he had what is known as SCFE. I was not explained the severity of the situation just a referral to a specialist. They told me I’d be called in a few days for an appointment to get my child seen by the specialist. Before I could get home with so many questions and a child in shock and scared I got called by the specialist telling me they had already scheduled an appointment for emergency surgery the next day and they explained what was really going on and the severity of what was going on. If it wasn’t for the specialist I don’t know where we would be right now. I just wish Dr Lilly had taken the time for my child to tell us rather than rushing us out. The nurses were wonderful but I wouldn’t recommend Dr Lilly.

I always receive the best care possible from EmergeOrtho staff. Intake people are speedy getting everyone checked in. Nurses are compassionate and relate my specific issues to the doctor. X-ray techs are very efficient and knowledgeable. Dr Lilly is the best. He explains everything in a manner that is easy to understand. I feel like he is 100 percent focused on me and I never feel rushed. I always leave his office confident that I' m receiving the best care possible. Thank you Dr Lilly!

Staff at the desk was very helpful and friendly. Once I got in to the room, the staff there was extremely professional, but was very pleasant to talk to and had a good rapport. Dr. Lily was very good and to the point in describing my problem with the knee and gave me options which I liked. Dr. Lilly and his staff are exceptional. I scheduled an appointment requesting Dr. Lilly’s opinion regarding a procedure I had Aug. 2021. He not only dressed as a confident professional, he was confident giving me his opinion as well. By the way, I chose Dr. Lilly because of the good reviews received from friends and neighbors.

Dr. Lilly and his staff are absolutely the best. During your office visit he listens, studies the condition and then gives you any and all options with recommendations on a treatment path and options. Surgery is always last on the list. After having such a great outcome with my first full full knee replacement I decided to have the other one done. Dr. Lilly did both with the same great outcome and personal level of care. I would without any hesitation recommend Dr. Lilly to my friends that require a joint replacement procedure. It is worth the drive to get the best.

Dr Lilly was very thorough during the surgery he performed on me in March of 2022. I have not had any problems with my hip since then. He also has a wonderful bedside manner.

From the beginning of my adventure with bilateral knee replacement EmergeOrtho was the best. I saw Dr. Lilly after being referred to him by my Primary care physician. He was informative when he explained my MRI and options to my condition. I had a hip replacement. I was scared and apprehensive. He was very reassuring. After surgery, he explained what he found during surgery, how he corrected it, and what to expect for my recovery. He set up physical therapy, explained exercises, and made sure I was familiar with a recovery timeline. My office visits are enjoyable as he explains in detail what’s going on at a certain stage. He is great to give cautions so you will have the very best outcome. He truly is there for the patient. He is a very skilled surgeon. My incision looks beautiful. Healing went well. I feel he has my best interest in all he does. I am very thankful and appreciative of his care as well as his skill and knowledge. I would highly recommend him for hip replacement.

Dr. Lilly and his entire team are extremely competent, kind and they put the welfare of their patients first every day. His "cutting edge" technology & experience resulted in great success in my case. If you need knee surgery, consult Dr. Lilly first.

Five weeks after knee replacement surgery I am able to climb stairs without the pain that I experienced for years before surgery. I chose the outpatient center, did 6 weeks of rehab and now I don't even think about the knee anymore. My wife and I have had four procedures done by Dr. Lilly and have always had excellent outcomes. Highly recommend Dr. Lilly.

Dr Lilly replaced my left hip in September and my right hip in December. After almost 18 months of pain that had made my life smaller and smaller, I am finally able to walk pain free and get out into the world again thanks to Dr Lilly and his awesome staff!! I look forward to hiking in the mountains again very soon too! From the start Dr Lilly took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions, and his surgical skills are evident by the great results I’m blessed to be experiencing!!!

Called in for an appointment after falling. Was able to work me in that morning and wait time was minimal. Dr Lilly ordered x-rays and then came in and reviewed and explained the x-rays to me and my wife. I appreciate the cautious approach that he took with my injury. Would highly recommend Dr Lilly!

My total hip replacement at Pardee Hospital is coming along very well and I am making good progress.

Dr. Lilly and the EnergeOrtho staff are the best. Very polite, caring, efficient and will take and answer any question I sent through the patient portal. My procedure went just as he said it would. Dr. Lilly replaced both of my knees and I am thrilled with the results. He used the Conformis knee replacement and my PT, chiropractor and Pilates instructors all are amazed at my recovery!

Dr. Lilly is highly respected and was recommended by two friends who have had surgery by Dr. Lilly. He recently performed an Arthroscopic procedure on my left knee and I feel confident that it will be a success and I will be able (at 82) to return to my previous hiking and canoeing.

Dr. Lilly preformed left total hip arthroplasty and 2 week after surgery the pain was totally gone and I was walking without pain for the first time in 6 months. Thank you Dr. Lilly.

Dr. Lilly replaced both my knee joints during 2021

I broke my tibia & needed plate & screw fixation. Very painful surgery & recovery. Due to the current "climate" surrounding pain control, I was undermedicated. The doctor did the operation well, but otherwise has the personality & bedside manner of Rainman. (In case you haven't seen the movie, think totally flat, no facial expression, no emotion. Aliens have probably probed people with more enthusiasm).

It has been a year. I had right hip replacement surgery. Was in the hospital 3 days and released. A bonus beside the hip replacement was I had a lot of bone spurs in the area that he removed. After recovery and getting stronger I had no pain. Yeah !!

Dr. Lilly performed knee replacement surgery for me in 2018 and a total hip replacement in 2020. At my request, he helped me consider non-surgical options. From my initial evaluations and through both surgeries and recoveries, I have been totally pleased with my care and outcomes. Dr. Lilly is a highly skilled surgeon and caring physician. He asked questions and listened carefully. He ordered specific pre- and post-operative physical therapy that was invaluable. In addition to Dr. Lilly’s compassion and competence, his case manager was readily available to provide skilled help and encouragement throughout.

I have had a total hip replacement (2015) and a total knee replacement (2021) done by Dr. Lilly and I couldn't be more pleased. The pre-op preparation and exercises were very complete and made my recovery so much quicker and easier. He listens, he explains, he offers alternatives. His staff is equally as knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend him.

I have worked in Orthopedic surgery and Dr. Lilly was highly recommended by healthcare colleagues in this area. He is thoroughly knowledgeable in his field and has excellent technical expertise. My preop planning was explained, the surgery went well, and the recovery was without any complications or concerns. To be honest, after caring for hundreds of joint replacement patients, I was still a bit surprised at the pain levels that go with this type of procedure. I was able to control that with ibuprofen, acetaminophen and near continuous ice packs, but you just need to expect that. Most important is to start your therapy immediately to get your motion back. Hard at first but gets better. Dr. Lilly has a great personality which I really appreciate. I'm sure anyone choosing him will be happy with their care.

I'm 48 years old and now 6 weeks removed from a left total hip replacement (posterior approach). It has gone better than I could have ever imagined. I am walking 2-3 miles a day, riding an exercise bike 30 minutes a day and doing all the normal things to function in daily life. My incision healed wonderfully with minimal scarring. Dr. Lilly answered my questions and took time to communicate what I should expect. I'm as pleased as I can be with how all of this went. Dr. Lilly takes time to show you your x-rays and explain in detail what you are seeing. He discusses his recommended treatment and follow up if needed. I have been seeing him since 7/2013 and have been very pleased with his treatment and his friendly staff .

I researched orthopaedic surgeons when my left knee acutely “blew” in May 2020. Luckily, I made the wise choice in Dr Ed Lilly. Dr Lilly did a TKR on my left knee in July, then a TKR of my right knee in Oct. My PT was at Emerge Ortho (Hville), & they were awesome! Dr Lilly’s staff & his assistant Karen, were extremely helpful (& calming!) throughout the entire pre & post op time. I now walk wherever I want (NO pain, & secure knees!), & am easily go up & down steps now! Dr Lilly is so kind, patient, & listened to all of my concerns. I could not have had more confidence in a doctor than in Dr. Lilly. From the first visit, I knew this was who I wanted to perform my full knee replacement. It’s not fun & games and rehab/PT is lengthy to get back to the function you want, but Dr Lilly & his staff were fully supportive from the day of surgery until the final visit almost a year later. I had hip replacement surgery done by Dr. Lilly. I was overwhelming pleased with everything about Dr. Lilly from the first visit through the recovery process. Dr. Lilly’s skills allowed me to have a rapid and complete recovery.

I had rotator cuff repair done by Dr. Lilly. I was very apprehensive about this surgery but he and his staff made it go smoothly and not at all as bad as I had anticipated. I recommend this ortho practice to anyone who needs these services.
