Ellen Schaeffer

The best ER Doctor I ever met. She saved by baby's life. She took care of my 6 year old Shanna after a car accident. Dr. Schaeffer was compassionate and concerned about Shanna who was in a lot of pain. She knew how to talk to Shanna and to us. We knew right away we were in good hands. Dr. Schaeffer personally escorted Shanna to the Cat scan room and back because she thought Shanna had injured her spleen. She was 100% right. It was a very bad injury and my baby would have died if Dr. Schaeffer was not smart enough to take her immediately, diagnose her, give her medicines and blood. She even arranged a police escort to get us to a pediatric Surgeon in record time since the medical planes were not flying that day. I felt like she treated our little girl like she was a member of her own family.Dr. Schaeffer was always totally honest with us but she made us feel safe too. Shanna did great. The nurses and doctor's at the Children's Hospital said Shanna did as well as she did because of the excellent fast attention she got when she first got brought in to Dr, Schaeffer's hospital. I know my baby is alive and well today because of Dr. Schaeffer. We wish every Emergency Room doctor was like her.
