I was diagnosed with TED (thyroid eye disease) in March, 2021. My left eye had suddenly become irritated, the lid retracted, and my vision was deteriorating. I was fortunately referred to Dr. Bratton by both my ophthalmologist and my endocrinologist. Dr. Bratton is not only an expert in current treatments for this condition; she thoughtfully explained the pros and cons of each of my treatment options in detail along with her recommendations for course of action. Her foremost objective was always to preserve my vision and my optic nerve. I ended up receiving a course of monoclonal antibodies infusions every three weeks, which decreased my eye bulging by a few millimeters and relieved the pressure. Dr. Bratton followed up with me often throughout those months of infusions, carefully monitoring for progress and side effects. Early in 2022, when my eye was finally stabilized, she repositioned the eyelid so that it closes completely when I blink and sleep. Two months after surgery, there is no sign that anything had ever happened. I would highly recommend Dr. Bratton to anyone needing oculoplast surgery, and especially to anyone with a frightening new TED diagnosis. After consulting with FIVE other doctors and being told there was nothing to be done about the constant styes in my eyes I finally found Dr. Bratton. Not only did she help me with my eyes but she was the first and only doctor that wanted to find a cause behind what I was experiencing and not just put a bandaid on it. After having such a great experience I decided to get an upper blepharoplasty with her. My eyes have never looked better and I feel like I look 25 again in a very natural way. A friend of mine recommended me to Dr. Bratton. She did surgery on her eyelids and forehead and it looked amazing! I have been considering doing this for a long time. I have facial paralysis on one side and as a result one of my eye does not shut all the way. Even when I’m sleeping. I have chronic dry eye in that eye and it has been increasingly getting worse. Dr. Bratton performed her magic and two weeks later I am so excited to see the difference are ready. Her staff and her self were very caring and professional through the whole process . Dr. Bratton performed eyelid surgery on me one week ago today and I’m so happy with the results. One eyelid was worse than the other but she recommended doing both in order to make sure the appearance was balanced. It was the easiest surgery I ever had and the recovery minor. I highly recommend Dr. Bratton and her staff.

Tired of being asked if I was angry all the time, I researched eyelid surgery. Figured I probably needed upper blepharoplasty and spent a good year doing research and looking at doctors. I chose Dr. Emily Bratton because this is her specialty and she had positive reviews. With her patience and guidance, I ended up deciding on upper blepharoplasty with brow lift...insurance even managed to cover the upper blepharoplasty. Surgery went smoothly and while I looked a bit battered for a few days, I was able to go out in public with sunglasses and a hat 6 days later! Recovery over the next two months has been great. I was very impressed with her thorough and honest information prior to the surgery to make sure we were aligned on expectations. I'm very happy with the results. Dr. Bratton did a very good job of repairing the Mohs surgery site on my face. I was quite nervous because the Basil Cell Carcinoma was less than 1/4 inch from the corner of my eye and worried so many things could go wrong. But Dr. Bratton is so skilled it is barely noticeable after 2 weeks. I feel like the outcome couldn't have been topped. Originally went for a consult for Congenital Bilateral Ptosis (no eyelid muscles since birth) to see if there was anything that could be done. Dr. Bratton was amazing at a treatment plan and a permanent resolution. All aspects of treatment went very well, including entire surgery staff. I had zero issues and all concerns were answered to my full satisfaction; before, during and after surgery. Because of the caring showed by the entire surgery staff I had no ill affects during post-op recovery.

Dr. Bratton’s is amazing!! I was told my surgery was difficult because of my eyes. But the result has been outstanding! I’m told I look younger, which is a secondary advantage to the surgery! Being able to see again w/o getting a headache from trying to hold my eye lids open is a small miracle. Not looking like I was falling asleep mid sentence, a definite plus! I sought help from Dr. Bratton after a previous eye surgery from another surgeon was unsuccessful. Dr. Bratton listened to my concerns and although knowing it would be challenging due to my Grave disease diagnosis, she was honest, but determined to get me the results that I desired. Prior to having the surgeries, I was insecure and self-conscious of how I looked due to the impact Graves’ disease had on my eyes. After a few corrective surgeries by Dr. Bratton, the appearance of my eyes is 100% better. What I appreciated most is that she never gave up on me! She always remained positive and professional. And she was always honest and practical, when discussing my condition. I have gained my self-confidence back thanks to her! I am forever grateful for Dr. Bratton.

I was already badly shaken up from the accident itself, and the idea of having to have surgery to repair the bone underneath my eye was a whole other level of anxiety that I was not prepared to deal with. From day one, Dr. Bratton was communicative, kind, confident, knowledgeable, and made me feel like I was in the best of hands at all times. She explained everything clearly and outlined what to expect so that there was never a doubt in my mind about the procedure. After the surgery, she and her team regularly called to check up on me, and assured that I could contact them at any time with questions or concerns. Dr. Bratton performed my mother's eye surgery and the results are fantastic. Dr. Bratton really listened and cared about my mother's issues with a hooded eye. My eyelid surgery required 3 visits to Dr. Bratton's office and the staff was extremely cordial and helpful. Most impressive was Dr. Bratton's and her associate's mild, calming demeanor during surgery. It really put me at ease and home instructions were simple and explained. On the way home, I had some blurring issues, called and the nurse explained what was going on and reassured me that they were there if anything else arose. Much to my surprise, Dr. Bratton called me herself at 9:30 that night to check on me!!! That was above and beyond my expectations!! A friend of my had similar surgery with the same amazing care and results. Best of all, I no longer have daily headaches in the late afternoon due to my drooping eyelids!! I also am able to wear eye shadow and mascara for a much fresher and younger look. Dr. Bratton is a true caring physician that I would recommend wholeheartedly!!!

My wife had Grave's disease. It was very severe! Over a 24 month time, extensive treatment was required. Dr. Bratton couldn't have been more attentive! Her decisions were all on target. The staff of TOC was always friendly and pleasant to deal with. I shudder to think what could have been the outcome had we not been under her care! Dr. Bratton is a gold standard to judge the behavior of all other doctors by!

Dr. Bratton changed my world she took away my droopy eyelids and made me see and look so much better!!! Her staff also get much credit for working with my work schedule and Dr Bratton was gracious enough to work the morning before Thanksgiving when she was planning a flight home for that holiday. Dr Bratton is very knowledgeable, warm and personable. She and her staff made my pre and post surgery seamless and available to answer any questions I had. Plus I love the resolves from my necessary eyelids surgery! Subtle not over done. I have recommended her to my family and friends already.

I had an Hemangiopericytoma behind my right eye. Dr. Bratton coordinated with my primary doctor and my oncologist prior to the surgery so that everyone was on the same page. She has a great bedside manner. She listens to you, will answer all your questions and explains everything so that it is easy to understand. You cannot even tell the I had surgery on that eye. Awesome Doctor and Surgeon.

Dr. Bratton was absolutely incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable as well as very friendly and comforting when I was nervous. I was very impressed by how thorough she was throughout each visit before during and after my surgery. No one would know her I ever had surgery on my upper eyelid as Dr. Bratton did such an amazing job. I would highly highly recommend anyone.

Dr Bratton is an exceptional doctor combining superior knowledge and expertise with country doctor care. I've never had a doctor call me personally at home before to discuss test results or to just check on me after a surgery. Dr. Bratton called not once, but 3 times. She took the time to thoroughly explain the situation. I can't say enough good about DrBratton's care. I recovered quickly from my eye surgery which I contribute to her excellence in technique. Being referred after a frightening diagnosis was the best thing that could have happened to our family, she didn't just treat the patient she treated the entire family.
