Knows his stuff, very attentive

I saw the PA there in 2020, and again in 2021 concerned that the areas they zapped were not healing. Not only were both appointments very hurried and uncomfortably laissez-faire. "Ah, you're just aging." They just zapped the areas again. Seeing NO improvement, I saw another clinic. This PA chose to use dermatoscope, like photographer's loop for a closer examination of my problem areas, and indeed the one spot as I suspected from 2020 had the characteristics of basal cell. The PA then chose to do a full-body check to find another atypical spot on my leg. I'm a redhead, freckly and love the outdoors. I take my sunscreen, hats, skin and appointments seriously. I met Dr Asarch, and he looked me over thoroughly. He froze 5 moles, and I left. I was in and out in 10 minutes, very efficient.

Under no circumstances would I visit Asarch. When a procedure they were performing on my daughter made her cry, we stopped it before it went any further. After I stopped it I was next for an IPL laser treatment, Dr. Asarch came in himself to do it, and intentionally turned the power way up causing major pain and swelling. I've never had an IPL treatment that was that painful. Clearly he's a passive/aggressive jerk and I will never go there again. Plenty of other providers who show kindness to their patients. I have been a patient of this office for a few years now. The staff has always been great and I have never had an issue with the office itself. However, it's heartbreaking knowing that I have been putting my time and money in to a dermatologist who has never made me feel like she actually cared about my conditions. I decided to go on accutane last year, which was not the greatest experience but it did clear up my acne (only for a few months). After accutane, I was never advised on after care, like putting me on a retinoid to keep my skin clear. 6 months later my acne is back and the dermatologists only suggestion is to put me back on more medication. Additionally, something that always bothered me is that every visit always felt so rushed. I understand that as a medical professional you are very busy but part of your profession is also taking your time to care and hear out your patients. This is not a bad place but unfortunately will not recommend ever again. I have been a patient of this office for a few years now. Dr. Asarch is awesome. No unnecessary procedures like the dermatologist I have gone to in past. It will be a sad day when he retires!

I was so nervous about having the suspicious mole on my face even looked at let alone biopsied but Dr. Asarch was so quick that I didn't even have time to think about it. It was really nice to not have to sit in the office forever waiting, and even better that the procedure was so fast. He really put me at ease! Edited to add: after 2 weeks of healing, the chunk that Dr. Asarch removed from my face isn't noticeable AT ALL! There is no scar, the mole is still there, but it is much smaller and I couldn't be more pleased. It was a complete waste of time. They rushed me & told me everything I had already known. Not to mention they didn’t even provide the service that I was referred to them for. Doctor & staff were rude.

Prescribed me Accutane even when I told them I had previous health condition. Took a round of Accutane and my health is worse! Sad that they don't look into this before just dishing out such a drug

This office does not care about their patients. I was prescribed accutane and then I had to move states. I have been calling them for three weeks to try and figure out my options and each time they told me something different and that they would call me back to let me know. They never called when they said they would. They didn’t care each time I called to follow up. The whole team put no effort to help me. I am now out of my prescription, locked out of ipledge, unsure of where else to go/how to proceed AND dealing with bad side effects of depression from the drug. I am also very concerned about what is going to happen to my skin now and if my acne is going to come back worse from not finishing the full treatment. I’m sure that will be a very fun combo with the mental health side effect!! It is absolutely shocking to me how they could show this much negligence with a drug that has serious side effects. Will not return to this practice. I saw the NP here and she was fine, but I question the goals of this practice and their desire to actually help patients. I went in super inflamed, and had some issues on my face that haven't gone away. She addressed what was on my face, but nothing anywhere else. I was terribly uncomfortable and itchy, and I tried what she recommended for over a week with no relief. She barely addressed my eczema flare. Just prescribed me some lotion which did no good- and I knew this wasn't going to help nearly enough for the state I was in. If you look at skin for a living, it should be so obvious I was so inflamed and yet she did little to nothing address it, and didn't even seem concerned about my discomfort. I can't seem to find a dermatologist in the area who actually wants to practice medicine or help patients outside of the realm of botox/aging. Needless to say I will not be returning to this office. 3rd derm I've seen and the ONLY one I highly recommend. I specifically saw Dr. Amy Long, but the whole team has been caring, thorough (even checked insurance before exam...which is rare these days), communicative, no BS, no judgment. Thank you for restoring my faith in doctor visits.

I went to the Englewood location for a 3:30 appointment and was not seen until 4:30. The staff was very kind and apologetic for the wait. The office manager even came to apologize because they had “over booked.” I was scheduled with the head doctor, Richard Asarch, and he walked in the room, didn’t even say hello, took one look at me and told me what he predicted was wrong and prescribed two medications. It was clear he haven’t looked at my chart. Just throwing generic medications my way. Complete lack of professionalism and bed side manner. Will not be returning. I had one appointment at Asarch Dermatology which lasted less than five minutes. I spoke to a physician's assistant about some dark spots of skin on my face and she said all she could do was recommend a prescription cream. For that they charged me $178 which is absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend Asarch to anyone.

I had to finally call about biopsy results after waiting an extended period of time to get a "oh we've had those for awhile." I would expected to have received a call from the office. In the next visit she froze the spot missed on the first visit and, of course, I was charged an additional visit. Although she froze some other spots as well, I noted when I got home that more spots had been missed. ( Did you know they can charge for freezing as surgery each time you come in?) So I had to set up another appt for those to be dealt with-- guess what-- she missed 2 of the spots pointed out to her again. Now I'm into it for 3 surgery co-pays which are not cheap because she missed things spots that were pointed out-- Not to mention the time lost and the pain of doing it all another time. I'm in touch with my insurance company as I write this as well. In my opinion, this is 2 unnecessary visits which could have been handled in the first visit for the same thing. Also, fact that they coded it as surgery when its just freezing seems odd. I tried discussing with the office, but the local office manager never called me after I called the corporate office back east. I was a patient here starting about 7 months ago, but I will be moving to a new practice. In that time, I was cycled through doctors a few times without notice (a doctor left or was let go; it was never clear), and it’s been nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone at the office for standard follow ups. I waited a few weeks for a simple Rx refill, and called 7+ times. Either no one answered the phone, or finally someone did, and they promised to call back within the next day - never happened and I’d have to call again two days later. Been going here for years. This rating is for my last visit. Over all I have been pleased. Waited 50 min. To get in to 10 o’clock appointment. Was 10 minutes early to appointment, an Hour. After 40 I asked just to make sure I hadn’t fallen threw the cracks. They checked and said the person doing my treatment was in surgery. Ok, I understand. She started my treatment which was rubbing a chemical solution over my head and putting a heat pad on my head. Because of receptionist response I assumed only one qualified for that. ? ? I have been going to this facility for several years. During my recent visit I was diagnosed for shingles on my neck. The dr. told me to call back if the pain got out of hand and they would prescribe something. I called back three days later when the pain was becoming uncomfortable. It was very difficult to get a doctor on the phone. A physicians assistant called me back and I described the situation. She said she would get with the doctor that day to explain my situation. It was a Friday. I received no call back that day or the following week. I was left to deal with the pain. I understand that there are people out there abusing pain medication, but don't dismiss your patience who are suffering. Shingles is no cake walk. That was very disrespectful. Worst experience ever. They heavily promoted the opening of a Steamboat Springs office and then when I saw him he shared he would never return to Steamboat because it was not cost effective. I saw him for 5 minutes and he charged me over $500! I called the office to discuss and the billing manager was very rude and not the least bit understanding. Meanwhile the office was calling to let me know they had authorization from my insurance for a treatment I never agreed too. Worst experience ever. Dr. Hoffman is inexperienced. After performing surgery on me, I am now in constant pain from the wound. I am also experiencing chronic nerve pain on my head. I've taken several different painkillers, but they are ineffective and they've given me rashes, An infection also occurred at the surgical site, causing more discomfort. I will definitely never be going back again! The entire process was an awful headache. I went here for an acne consultation as I have moderate cystic acne. The PA suggested I change 4-5 variables (makeup, cleansers, moisturizers, etc) at once and introduced 3-4 drugs. I ended up having an allergic reaction and was unable to determine what it was from because the PA had me change so many things at once. After trial and error, I realized what was causing the reaction with NO help from Dr. Asarch's office. I had called and left a message for them detailing my situation and received NO call back. I also was so frustrated that I couldn't use a regular pharmacy and everything had to go through their specific mail in company! Dr. Asarch's office and the pharmacy were HORRIBLE at communicating, especially about what medications were covered by my insurance. They even expected me to pay $185 for one prescription! Asarch Center was recommended to me, and has exceeded my expectations. I worshipped the sun for years, and unfortunately my skin suffered. I have been impressed with the knowledge of Dr. Asarch and the staff who took the time to ask me questions and then customized my skin health plan. A couple months ago I went to see Dr. Asarch because I had a rash on my stomach and back. I felt like I had bugs crawling on my skin. Dr. Asarch looked at my rash and said he didn't know what was biting me. I asked him if he could do a skin culture to find out what it was and he said," No, I'm not going to do that!" He then handed me a bottle 0.06 of Cordran Lotion and walked out of the room. Very rude! My GP requested I see a different Dermatologist. I was diagnosed with Grovers disease!

I have been seeing Dr. Asarch for a few years now for melanoma removal and skin conditions. His staff is always helpful and kind, and I found Dr. Asarch himself to be very personable, considerate, generous with time and explanations, and extremely knowledgable in his field. On a side note, he is also a fantastic photographer as the photo's in his office will attest to. My only fear is that he'll retire! Dr. Asarch and his staff couldn't have been nicer to me,he took off a precancerous spot on my back- and I can't even see a scar. I also had Dr. Asarch do Ultherapy on my face and neck, and I am so happy with the results- it's like shrink wrapping your skin! my face looks 10 years younger! I love Dr. Asarch and the Asarch center.

Horrible! Dr. Asarch is a negligent, uncompassionate and probably burnt out and at one time probably was a dermatologist. He is just so into the beauty aethethetics now that caring for diseases of the skin isn't fun anymore. Not sure. But my daughter was treated horrendously by him. She came in with a rash all over her body and yet he didn't put her in a gown, spent less than 2 minutes with her, prescribed her a cream prior to even laying eyes on her and although she was presenting with a weeping type pustule style rash covering her whole body he, looked at 3" of her arm and diagnosed her with "dry skin" and sent her on her way. After questioning him and being laughed at, she left in tears knowing full well it wasn't dry skin and went to the ER. Turns out she has Parvo Virus, compounded with an infection in the open pustules from scratching them and eczema covering the wound of a surgical scar they say the Parvo Virus originated from. The fluid coming from the pustules spread the virus all over her body causing her immune system to be compromised and she has now been placed on 4 strong meds just to stabilize her in order to get her to where she can be treated. YEAH! THIS IS DRY SKIN DR. ASARCH!!!! The Chief of the ER and 4 other ER doctors spent hours running numerous tests in order to come to a final diagnosis to be able to treat her adequately. She must now find an immunologist and another REAL dermatologist to treat her. Event the Chief of the ER stated we shouldn't pay Dr. Asarch's bill or ever see him again. DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR!!! The service here is amazing. Dr. Asarch is very personable and knowledgable about everything they do. The whole place just feels very tranquil and professional, and they provide top notch skin care to boot. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
